Elvera B. Stark
April 28, 1921 - January 13, 2008
Elvera B. Stark, age 86 passed away Wednesday at Marian Estates in Sublimity. She was born in Ontario, California to Robert and Bertha (Hildenbrand) Brooks.
Elvera, best known as Elvie, loved to paint. She even took art classes at Linn Benton College for a few years. She painted beautiful paintings, with animals being her passion to paint. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing. She was very good at crafts and gardening.
She attended Peoples Church of Salem until her health kept her from attending services. She will be missed greatly and thought of with much love. We will miss our family prayer warrior.
Elvera is survived by sons: Bob Warren Jr. of Salem, Mel Warren and wife, Jan, of Keizer, and Kim Stark and wife, Joanne of Hillsboro; step children: John Stark and wife, Judy, of Sweet Home and Suzie Brunk of Aumsville; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild
She is preceded in death by husband, Bill Stark; sister, Leila Mae Talbert; two grandsons, Vince Warren and Mel Warren Jr.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 19, at Lewis Cemetery in Sweet Home. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
Mary June Ward
March 8, 1930 - February 10, 2008
Mary June Ward, age 77, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday at Avamere Rehabilitation in Sweet Home. She was born in Scott Mills, Oregon to Wiley Elvin, Sr., and May Augusta (Yoder) Dimick.
Mary attended Sweet Home High School and graduated from there in 1948. She had lived in Alaska for 6 to 7 years. She moved to Sweet Home in 1986 and lived there ever since.
Mary worked as a waitress and store clerk.
Mary is survived by three brothers: William H. Dimick and wife, Bonnie, Wiley E. Dimick, Jr., and Dick D. Dimick; three sisters: Dorothy Brown, Emmy Dimick, and Betty Randolph; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceded in death by four brothers: George D. Dimick, Rex E. Dimick, Harry L. Dimick, and Chauncey L. Dimick.

Robin A. Prestegard
November 19, 1953 - January 5, 2008
Robin Ann Prestegard, age 54, of Crawfordsville passed away at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) Tuesday. She was born in Lebanon, Oregon to Les and Dickie (Hersey) Austin.
Robin graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1972. Robin moved to Kelso, Washington in 1987. She moved back to Sweet Home in 2000. She was a manager for Top Foods in Washington. After moving back to Sweet Home she worked for Safeway.
Robin loved riding horses, crafts, gardening, and her grandchildren.
Robin is survived by her son, Bryan Coulter, and daughter, Amy Richards, of Sweet Home; Tom and Tim Austin of Albany; Kathy Davenport of Sweet Home; grandchildren, Dylan, Brooke, Bryce, and Hunter of Sweet Home; and significant other, Gary Rice, of Sweet Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 9, at Community Chapel. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
Carmen Hyde
May 5, 1916 - February 5, 2008
Carmen Hyde, age 91, of Sweet Home passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, February 5th, 2008 at Lebanon Rehab. She was born May 5th, 1916 in Gallup, New Mexico to Canuto and Antonia Maldonado. She had a sister,Victoria, and three brothers: Louie, Pete and Jr.
Carmen married Walter Hyde October 1st, 1934 in Flagstaff, Arizona. They later settled in Bend, Oregon and came to Sweet Home in 1948. She was an avid volunteer with Girl Scouts and PTA, and was an East Linn Museum greeter. She loved helping others, as she spent over 20 years with the Sweet Home Emergency Ministries.
Carmen was proceeded in death by all of her siblings; husband, Walter, in 1972; and her daughters Betty Jo Mullenix in 1993 and Margaret Ann Ringheimer in 2005. She had recently lost grandson, Darold Dewayne Rozell.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Jane Rozell, of Lebanon and grandchildren: Monica Anderson of Yelm, WA. Walter Ringheimer of Salem, Gary Rozell of Albany, Mike Mullenix, Alan Mullenix, Patty Gaskey, Crystal Mullenix and Randy Ringheimer, all of Lebanon, and Staci Steinbacher, Ron Ringheimer, and Debby Luttmer, all of Sweet Home. She was also blessed with 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday, February 11th, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel, 1443 Long St., at 11:00 am. In leu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or SHEM.

Timothy Rund
March 9, 1954 - February 14, 2008
Timothy Ray Rund, age 53, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday. He was born in Corvallis to Clarence Leo and Grace Doris (Stinkie) Rund.
He spent most of his life in Sweet Home, which he loved.
God called him home after a brave battle with cancer, but not before being able to share his love for the Lord and the miracles he worked in our family during his battle. Tim was a warrior full of the strength of God till the very end.
He loved fishing, BBQing with his family, and playing poker with his friends.
Timothy is survived by daughter Jennifer Stock of Lebanon; son Joshua Rund of Sweet Home; sisters Theresa Krause of Lincoln City and Deborah Warning; brother Terry Rund of Albany; grandchildren Jayden and Jessica, children of Jennifer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace, and father, Casey.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 21, at Holley Church.
