Norma Jean Biskeborn
The graveside service for Norma Jean Biskeborn will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Stan Johnson, minister of the West Main Church of Christ, will officiate.
Mrs. Biskeborn, 71, of Central Point, died Sunday (Dec. 28, 1997) at Hearthstone.
She was born March 11, 1926, in Butte Falls, a daughter of George and Evelyn McClung Walker.
On March 16, 1947, in Klamath Falls, she married Carl George Biskeborn, who died May 1, 1996. They moved to the Rogue Valley 20 years ago.
Mrs. Biskeborn enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include three sons, Steven, Central Point, Rodney, Corvallis, and Mark, Los Angeles; a brother, Eddie Wilcher, Keno; three sisters, Delores Collins and Gloria Cantwell, both Klamath Falls, and Betty Alcorn, Sacramento, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Buck Buckles
The graveside service for J.A. "Buck" Buckles will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Deer Creek Cemetery in Salma.
Mr. Buckles, 97, of Medford, died Tuesday (Dec. 30, 1997) at the Medford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

He was born Aug. 29, 1900, in Tillamook, where he attended school.
He moved to Selma in 1920, working as a logger, farmer and a school bus driver for Josephine County and Illinois Valley schools.
On Sept. 10, 1927, in Grants Pass, he married Mary Lima, who died Oct. 23, 1996. They moved to Medford in 1991.
He was a member of Deer Creek Grange and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Survivors include three daughters, Norma Bolinger, Medford, Arlene Rians, Medford, and Dolores Silacci, Turlock, Calif.; two sons, Clyde, Medford, and Edward Santos, Puyallup, Wash.; a sister, Hattie Barton, Bremmerton, Wash.; a brother, Burl Kennedy, Vernonia; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A granddaughter preceded him in death.

Phyllis Anne Hunt
The memorial Mass for Phyllis Anne Hunt will be at 8 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church in Ashland. The Rev. Anthony Rosevear will officiate.
Mrs. Hunt, 70, of Ashland, died Saturday (Dec. 27, 1997) at home.

She was born Phyllis Anne Ullyot on Aug. 22, 1927, in Sioux City, Iowa.
Mrs. Hunt taught at East High School in Sioux City from 1963 to 1969. She moved to Auburn, Wash., in 1969 and taught at Auburn High School.
In 1982, she returned to Sioux City and was an executive assistant for the Woodbury Medical Society. She retired in 1997 and moved to Ashland.
Mrs. Hunt was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, American Association of Medical Society Executives, and the National Auxiliary to the Scabbard and Blade.
Survivors include her companion, Jim Mathers, Ashland; a daughter, Mary Anne Crandall, Ashland; and two grandchildren.

Donald W. Wilson
Donald W. Wilson, 63, of White City, died Saturday (Dec. 27, 1997) at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary, White City. No service is planned. Interment will be in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born May 17, 1934, in Independence, Kan.
Mr. Wilson was a computer programmer in San Jose, Calif.
Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He moved to the Rogue Valley eight years ago from Sacramento, Calif.
Mr. Wilson, astudent of Hebrew, was working on writing the Hebrew Bible in Braille. He enjoyed reading.
Survivors include two sons, Mark, Chico, Calif., and James, Sacramento; a daughter, Donna Smith, Sacramento; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Sadie Dorcas Hunsaker
Sadie Dorcas Hunsaker, 80, of Central Point, died Thursday (Dec. 25, 1997) at her daughter's Gold Hill home. A private service was held.

She was born Sadie Dorcas Mapes on June 10, 1917, in Tacoma, Wash.
She moved to the Rogue Valley 24 years ago from Tacoma.
On Jan. 11, 1979, in Reno, Nev., she married Glenn Hunsaker, who survives.
Mrs. Hunsaker was a member of the Stroke Club and Central Point Senior Center. She enjoyed fishing, antiques, reading and crossword puzzles.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Kathleen Sanger, Gold Hill; a son, Gilbert V. Lucas, Portland; a brother, Sherman Mapes, Leesburg, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Her first husband, John M. Lucas, died in 1975. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Grant Mapes and Fallace Mapes; and a great-grandson.

Mary Angeline Revels
The memorial service for Mary Angeline Revels will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Applegate Christian Fellowship Church in Ruch. Pastor Rick Cohen will officiate.
Mrs. Revels, 49, of Medford, died Thursday (Dec. 25, 1997) at her home.
She was born Mary Angeline Cunningham on July 10, 1948, in Findlay, Ohio.
Mrs. Revels moved to the Rogue Valley three months ago from Enid, Okla. She attended Applegate Christian Fellowship and enjoyed her cat.
Survivors include a daughter, Denise Dorman, Medford; five brothers, Dave Cunningham, Medford, Paul Cunningham in Texas, Thom Cunningham, Enid, James Cunningham, Stonewall, Okla., and Danny Cunningham; three sisters, Ruth Ellen Burke, Calvin, Okla., Naomi Hammer, Kearny, Ariz., and Rose Rich, Omega, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

Charles C. DeCarlow
The funeral for Charles C. DeCarlow, longtime valley home builder, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Siskiyou Memorial Park. David Bocook of Church of the First Born in Spokane, Wash., will officiate.
Mr. DeCarlow, 65, of Medford, died Saturday (Dec. 27, 1997) at his home.

He was born Aug. 11, 1932, in Pinehurst, a son of Leland C. and Hazel M. DeCarlow. His grandparents, Lulu and Charles DeCarlow came to the area in 1911, taking over the post office and opening a stage stop in the community they renamed Pinehurst. Previously it was Shake. They became the founding family of the community, establishing School District 94. When the wagon road was rerouted and became the Greensprings Highway in 1920, the DeCarlows built a lodge and inn on the road, close to Jenny Creek.
The DeCarlow home is now a B&B, but the stage stop burned some years ago.
On Dec. 27, 1952, in Eureka Springs, Ark., Charles DeCarlow married Elaine Lee Moore, who survives.
Mr. DeCarlow, with his father-in-law, W.L. Moore, and a brother-in-law, Noel Moore, formed W.L. Moore Construction and over the next 30 years built 1,000 homes in the valley. Upon the retirement of W.L. Moore, the company was divided, and DeCarlow assumed the name of DeCarlow Homes. It has built nearly 600 homes in the past 10 years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Dale C. and Steven C., both Medford; three daughters, Kathryn E. Mahar and Beth A. Curl, both Medford, and Rhonda L. Williams, Dallas, Texas; a brother, Raymond, Medford; two sisters, Margaret Sanders and Helen Lloyd, both of Ogden, Utah; and five grandchildren.

Joe Raymond Bourland
Joe Raymond Bourland, 84, of Grants Pass, died Saturday (Dec. 27, 1997) at Hearthstone. No local service is planned. Interment will be in Los Gatos Memorial Park in California.
He was born Dec. 7, 1913, in Tate County, Miss.
On Sept. 23, 1933, in Arkansas, he married Gertrude L. Martin, who died in 1985. He moved to the Rogue Valley five years ago from Saratoga, Calif.
Mr. Bourland was a custodian for public school districts in Chicago and California, retiring from San Jose High School in 1975. After retiring, he and his wife traveled extensively to exhibit at antique shows.
He was a member of the Saratoga Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include four daughters, Peggy Granacki and Marilyn Plescia, both Grants Pass, Brenda Furtado, Rogue River, and Rita Barnes, Streamwood, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. His second wife, Carlene, died in 1989. He also was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Conger-Morris Chapel in Medford.
