Alice E. Valentine
Alice Eleanor Valentine, 92, of Medford, died Sunday (Dec. 28, 1997) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Dec. 26, 1905, in Walnut Grove, Minn.
She attended Hamline University and the University of Minnesota and was a medical secretary at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.
On May 20, 1933, in Centuria, Wis., she married George F. Valentine, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1975 from Davenport, Iowa.
In Davenport she was a member of St. John's Methodist Church, League of Women Voters and the Parent Teachers Association. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing and gathering mushrooms.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Clark, Lake Forest, Calif., and Joe, Bettendorf, Iowa; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Bernard Flesche and Oliver Flesche, preceded her in death.

Charlotte L. Licklider
Charlotte L. Licklider, 72, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 31, 1997) at her home. No service is planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born Charlotte Hastings on Jan. 18, 1925, in Coffeyville, Kan.
On Nov. 25, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo., she married Norwood Licklider, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley 36 years ago.
Mrs. Licklider was an elementary school teacher, retiring in 1983 from Lone Pine School.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Jane Espasandin, Medford; a son, Alan, Portland; three brothers, Albert Hastings, Stillwater, Okla., and Aubrey Hastings and Austin Hastings, both Wichita, Kan.; three sisters, Vivian Conant, Vashon Island, Wash., and Mary Frances Miller and Grace Nell McLaughlin, both St. Louis, Mo.; and four grandchildren; Three brothers, Wade, Lawrence and Rodney Hastings, preceded her in death.

Ken Hartson
Kenneth "Ken" Hartson, 60, of Medford, died Monday (Dec. 29, 1997) at Three Fountains Nursing Center. No local service is planned.

He was born Oct. 25, 1937, in Portland.
Mr. Hartson moved to the Rogue Valley 21 years ago from San Luis Obispo, Calif.
He worked for the Central Point Public Works Department for 21 years.
Mr. Hartson was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed target and trap shooting.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula Wilcox, Medford; his mother, Golda Faye Hartson, Portland; two brothers, Robert, Portland, and Eugene in Arizona; and a sister, Virginia Janus, Miami, Fla.

Barbara Lillian Lee
The graveside service for Barbara Lillian Lee will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland. The Rev. Bob Gass of Harvest Baptist Temple, Medford, will officiate.
Mrs. Lee, 60, of Ashland, died Friday (Jan. 2, 1998) at her home.
She was born Barbara Brown on April 28, 1937, in Duck Hill, Miss.
The family moved to the Rogue Valley a few years later and Mrs. Lee lived here more than 50 years.
Survivors include a son, Paul Wyatt, Medford; a daughter, Barbara Warner, Central Point; five brothers, Floyd Brown, Medford, Dewey Brown and Charlie Brown, both Ashland, Gerald Brown, Monmouth, and James F. Brown Jr., Reno, Nev.; and two grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
Maurice M. Adler
The service for Maurice Michael Adler will be at noon Tuesday at Hull & Hull Chapel, Grants Pass. The Rev. Roger McKay of the Williams Community Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Sparlin Cemetery.
Mr. Adler, 83, of Williams, died Wednesday (Dec. 31, 1997) at his home.

He was born Aug. 7, 1914, in Queens, N.Y.
More than 45 years ago, he married Lois "Janie" O'Mullally, who survives. They moved to Williams in 1971 from Malibu, Calif.
He was division manager of parts and fabrication for Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo, Calif., retiring in 1970.
He enjoyed wood and metal crafts, having built the cabinets for his home. He also enjoyed animals.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Michael, Williams; two sisters, Bee Harmell and Helen Carranza, both in Southern California; a brother, William, Pagosa Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends may pay their respect from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Hull & Hull Chapel, Grants Pass.
Thora C. Ward
The private service for Thora C. Ward was held Friday in the Central Valley Chapel in Central Point. Pastor Lyle McCaw officiated.
Mrs. Ward, 83, of Central Point, died Sunday (Dec. 28, 1997) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Thora Colley on April 24, 1914, in Ravalli, Mont. The family moved to Oregon in 1932 and she to the Rogue Valley in 1935.
On Sept. 19, 1937, in Grants Pass, she married Elmer L. Ward, who survives.
Mrs. Ward was a 1961 graduate of Southern Oregon College. She taught first grade at Jacksonville Elementary School, retiring in 1974.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and the outdoors.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Vada Henderson, Eagle Point; a son, Keith, Medford; three sisters, Thona Pierson, Central Point, her twin, Freda Frost, Coats, N.C., and Erma Fourmet, Yucaipa, Calif.; three brothers, Robert Colley, Roseburg, Richard Colley, Springfield, and Kenneth Colley, Salem; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A sister, Elsie Killian; and two brothers, Clifford and Wallace Colley, preceded her in death.

Lorraine R. Dellinger
The funeral for Lorraine Roberts Dellinger will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Siskiyou Chapel. Pastor Linda Wilson Hunt of the Medford Science of Mind Center, will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.

She was born Lorraine Roberts on Sept. 20, 1928, in Chandler, Okla.
She moved to the Rogue Valley from Los Angeles five years ago.
Mrs. Dellinger owned Your Officer Supplier store in Medford.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Hilliard, Burbank, Calif.; three step-daughters, Leslee Freeman, Ashland, Linda Mihayl, Palmer, Alaska, and Laurel Ehrlich, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a step-son, Larry Freeman, Palo Alto, Calif.; a brother, Harold Lloyd Roberts in Southern California; three sisters, Lawanda O'Donnell, Phoenix, Ariz., Lois Hurt, Sparks, Nev., and Lavonne Barnes, San Gabriel, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Myron A. Crume
The funeral for Myron A. Crume will be at noon Tuesday in Siskiyou Chapel, Medford. Pastor Dick Boden of Applegate Christian Fellowship will officiate. Interment will follow in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Crume, 74, of Rogue River, died Saturday (Jan. 3, 1998) at his home.
He was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Lamar, Colo.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
On May 11, 1946, in Los Angeles, he married Jeannette D. Wheeler, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1979 from LaHabra, Calif.
For 46 years in California he owned and operated Macco Grinding.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Ron, Grants Pass, and Rod, Rogue River; a daughter, Sharon Keeton, Rogue River; six brothers, Royal, Central Point, Paul, Tiller, Cliff, Hemet, Calif., Byron, Lake Matthews, Calif., Darrel, Lake Arrowhead, Calif., and Glen, Pomona, Calif.; three sisters, Ruth Piatt, Gold Hill, Shirley Hatcher, Lake Matthews, and Norma Warren, Fullerton, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
