Mary Schroeder
A memorial service is planned for Mary D. Schroeder, who died Dec. 26, 1997, at age 99 at the home of granddaughter Mary Savage in Central Point.
The memorial service is at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trail Christian Fellowship, 18881 Highway 62, Shady Cove. Rick Booye of Trail Christian Fellowship will officiate.
She was born Sept. 8, 1898, in Dufur, Ore. She lived in the Rogue Valley 17 years, having moved from Coos Bay to Eagle Point. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and other home arts.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, Earl Granville Wetzel (1945), Frank Fitzgerald (1973) and Ralph P. Schroeder (1987).
She is survived by four children, Earlene Mass of Eagle Point, Blacky Wetzel of Glide, Lewis Wetzel of Coos Bay and Marie Hart of Springfield; 28 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren and 76 great-great-grandchildren.

Jack Louis Bezoff
The funeral for Jack Louis Bezoff will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel. Dale Adams of First Baptist Church, Phoenix, will officiate. Private interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
Mr. Bezoff, 74, of Medford, died Thursday (Jan. 8, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born June 22, 1923, in Weed, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1955 from Klamath Falls.
On Aug. 22, 1944, in Ashland, he married Mary G. Arnett, who survives.
For 30 years he was a truck driver, retiring from Pacific Motor Transportation, a divison of Southern Pacific Railroad.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Bezoff was a member of the Western Teamster Retiree Volunteers. The group cut firewood for the elderly and needy.
He also enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. He attended First Baptist Church in Phoenix.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Terry L., Medford; a daughter, Jeannette L. Conn, Albany; a sister, LaVern Dalin, Weed; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel.
Andrew H. Booth
Andrew Harrison Booth, 83, of Medford, died Thursday (Jan. 8, 1998) at the Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned.

He was born Feb. 5, 1914, in Los Angeles. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1962 from Burbank, Calif.
On Jan. 12, 1974, in Reno, he married Virginia Huckaba, who survives.
Mr. Booth worked for Crater Lake Motors until retiring in 1977. He then worked as a mechanic for a recreation vehicle company that took caravans into Mexico.
A rockhound, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a former member of the Roxy Ann Gem and Mineral Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, James, Burbank, Edward, Laguna Hills, Calif., and Andrew, Boring; an adopted daughter, Sherri, Boardman; six step-children, Linda Keller, Anna Heinzman, and Rex Culbertson, all Medford, Dean Culbertson, Grants Pass, Sandra Ashly, Sanora, Calif., and Eric Culbertson, Oregon City; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Susan Booth, preceded him in death.

Clyde E. Pierce
Clyde Everett Pierce, 57, of Gold Hill, died Wednesday (Jan. 7, 1998) at the Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned.
He was born Dec. 31, 1940, in Garvey, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1962, from San Gabriel, Calif.
He had worked at various jobs, the most recent as a caretaker at a Christmas tree farm. He was a Jehovah's Witness.
Mr. Pierce enjoyed outdoor activities and using his metal detector.
Survivors include a brother, Floyd L., Hollister, Calif., and a sister, Juliarae Berge, Elkford, B.C. A brother, James C., and a sister, Mignonne Phillips, preceded him in death.

David D. Staniforth
David Dexter Staniforth, 57, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 7, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.
He was born Oct. 28, 1940, in Fitchburg, Mass.
On Aug. 5, 1990, in Long Beach, Calif., he married Sharon Kelley, who survives.
They moved to the Rogue Valley five years ago from Los Angeles.
Mr. Staniforth was an auctioneer.
He was a member of the Eagles and Elks lodges, and enjoyed attending auctions and garage sales, buying and selling. He also worked with charities.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Anthony "Tony," Eddie and Thaddeus, all in California; a daughter, Leslie Staniforth, in California; two step-daughters, Tamara Bazurto and Jodie Staniforth, both in California; five brothers, Robert, Ronald, and Dexter, all of Medford, Henry, Downey, Calif., and Armond Lucier, in California; a sister, Joyce Withrow, Medford; and eight grandchildren.

Edgar D. Crane
The memorial service for Edgar D. Crane will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Ascension Lutheran Church. The Revs. Robert L. Larson and David J. Rapp will officiate.
Mr. Crane, 80, of Central Point, died Thursday (Jan. 8, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 8, 1917, in Rochester, N.Y.
On June 28, 1941, in Rochester, he married Pauline Hotchkiss, who survives.
They moved to the Rogue Valley 20 years ago from Los Altos, Calif.
A mechanical engineer, Mr. Carne produced vacuum chambers in the aerospace industry, first for Martin-Marietta Co. from 1957 to 1961 in Illinois, then for Consolidated Vacuum Chamber Co. in Rochester, N.Y., and Palo Alto, Calif.
He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Tim, Santa Clara, Calif.; a brother, Don, Palos Verdes, Calif.; a sister, Carol Lonthair, Shallotte, N.C.; and two grandchildren. A brother, Raymond, preceded him in death.

Earl Floyd Brown
Earl Floyd Brown, 80, of Rogue River, died Sunday (Jan. 4, 1998) at Three Rivers Community Hospital and Health Center, Grants Pass. No service is planned.
Mr. Brown was born Jan. 25, 1917, in Rollings, Texas.
He moved to Rogue River from Oxnard, Calif., in 1979.
On Sept. 17, 1990, in Grants Pass, he married Renee Cunningham, who survives..
Mr. Brown was a self-employed electrical technician.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a brother.

Helen Glattly
Helen Glattly, 88, of Ashland, died Thursday (Jan. 8, 1998) at Ashland Community Hospital. A private service is planned.
She was born March 11, 1909, in Wisconsin and grew up in Duluth, Minn.
In 1942 in Chicago, she married Donald Glattly, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Glattly was an elementary school teacher for 40 years.
She lived in Natchitoches, La., from 1946 to 1958 and in San Diego from 1960 until moving to Ashland in 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Ellison, Ashland, and Donald, Soda Springs, Calif.; and a daughter, Alexis Glattly, San Gregorio, Calif
