Edward Huntington Jr.
The memorial service for Edward H. Huntington Jr. will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, at the Eagle Point Grange Hall No. 664, 5 S. Shasta Ave., White City. A potluck will follow the service at the Grange Hall.
Mr. Huntington, 73, of White City, died Wednesday (Jan. 28, 1998) at his home.
He was born Feb. 19, 1924, in Santa Barbara, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1989.
On Jan. 27, 1979, Mr. Huntington married Barbara Jean Burch, who survives, in Vancouver, Wash.
Mr. Huntington served in the United State Army during World War II.
He owned and operated Burglar Alarm Service in Portland. He was involved in sales and the founding of insurance companies.
Mr. Huntington also was a professional race car driver.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Julie Huntington Roden of Shady Cove and Judy Parker of Phoenix, Ariz.; one stepson, Rocky Muse of Klamath Falls; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Dale A. Forncrook
The funeral for Dale A. Forn-crook will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Perl at Siskiyou Chapel, Medford. Pastor Jeff Tiffany of the First Christian Church of Medford and Chaplain Jeff Holder of Providence Medford Medical Center will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mr. Forncrook, 82, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 28, 1998) at his home.

He was born Sept. 3, 1915, in Plentywood, Mont., and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1921.
Mr. Fornbrook was a meat cutter, owning and operating The Meat Center in Medford and later working at the Groceteria and Byrd's Market.
During World War II, he was a staff sergeant serving with the U.S. Army in Europe.
Mr. Forncrook enjoyed playing bridge and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Lane, Medford; a daughter, Holly Hendrickson, Gladstone; two stepsons, Clinton Stiger, Beaverton, and James Stiger, Redmond, Wash.; a sister, Verna Wilson, Canyonville; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie Dean Forncrook in 1980; and his second wife, Nettie Vaughan Stiger Forncrook in 1997.

Mary Euvon Reaves
The funeral for Mary Euvon Reaves will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Central Valley Chapel, 800 S. Front St., Central Point. Private interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Reaves, 84, of White City, died Thursday (Jan. 29, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born May 27, 1913, in Medford, a daughter of Lawrence and Minnie Mae Fields Crowl.
On July 5, 1950, in Reno, Nev., she married Calvin E. Reaves, who died in 1970.
Mrs. Reaves lived in the Rogue Valley most of her life.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Montgomery Ward.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Foulon, White City; a son, Calvin R., in Arkansas; two sisters, Lois Russell, Medford, and Sylvia Peart, Warren; a brother, Delbert Crowl; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a great-granddaughter.

Sharen Parslow-Strosser
The funeral for Sharen Parslow-Strosser will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rogue Valley Fellowship, 2373 S. Pacific Highway, Medford. Pastor Dave Booye will officiate.
Mrs. Strosser, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 28, 1998) in Stanford, Calif.

She was born in Altadena, Calif. On Sept. 4, 1971, in West Covina, Calif., she married Bob Strosser, who survives.
Mrs. Strosser moved to the Rogue Valley in 1991 from Pasadena, Calif. She was reared in Baldwin Park, Calif., and graduated from Sierra Vista High School. She obtained a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Azusa Pacific University in 1984. She later graduated from the Lactation Consultant Program at UCLA.
Mrs. Strosser was an international board-certified lactation consultant and founding member of the Southern Oregon Lactation Association, and at times was nurse manager of the Family Birth Center at Rogue Valley Medical Center. She was actively involved in providing education to new mothers and newborn care. She attended the Rogue Valley Fellowship.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons Jeff and Jon, both of Medford; her mother Gwen Parslow-Bliss, of Hagerman, Idaho; a brother, Tom Parslow, of Salem; and a sister, Susan Parslow-Monahan, Hagerman, Idaho.

Edith C. Kirk
Edith C. Kirk, 82, of Medford, died Thursday (Jan. 29, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.

She was born Edith Willet on Aug. 21, 1915, in Coquille. She moved to the Rogue Valley about 50 years ago.
On Jan. 26, 1964, she married Bill Kirk in Gold Hill. Mrs. Kirk worked as a beautician and at the Veterans Administration Domiciliary for about eight years in food service.
She belonged to several bridge clubs, was a lifelong member of the Oregon Hunters Association and was active in the senior center. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting, and bridge, and she traveled extensively around the world.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; three daughters, Sandra Cooley and Shirley Allen both of Medford, and Sharon LeVine, San Diego, Calif.; a son, Charles Thomas Kirk, Seattle; and seven grandchildren.

Dolres Mendez
Dolres Mendez, 75, of Medford, died Friday (Jan. 30, 1998) at Three Fountains Care Center in Medford. A graveside service is planned for later in the week at Resurrection Cemetery and Mausoleum in San Gabriel, Calif.
She was born April 7, 1922, in Shasta, Texas. She moved to the Rogue Valley seven years ago from California.
Mrs. Mendez was a homemaker who enjoyed dancing and spending time at the river.
Survivors include two sons, Ernie Garcia, Montclair, Calif., and Gilbert Garcia, San Clemente, Calif; five daughters, Lornia Gustaliln, Riverside, Calif., Ida Seja, Montclair, Calif., Yolanda Balderramma, Monahans, Texas, Susanna Andrews, Medford, and Dorothy Whelan, White City; two sisters, Vida Correa and Virginia Westcovich; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nicko and Lucy, and two brothers, Louie and Manuel.

Elden C. Snyder
The graveside service for Elden C. Snyder will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Missouri Flat Cemetery, Grants Pass. The Rev. Earl Best will officiate.
Mr. Snyder, 76, of Applegate, died Tuesday (Jan. 27, 1998) at his home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1921, in Taft, Calif.
On Nov. 26, 1943, in Lancaster, Calif., he married Helen Eutsler, who died in 1996. They moved to the Applegate area in 1968 from Lancaster.
Mr. Snyder was a farmer and rancher until retiring.
He was a member of the Applegate Lions Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mining.
Survivors include two sons, Richard, Rogue River, and Elden E., Applegate; a daughter, Carol Britt, Applegate; a sister, Osie Urschel, Santa Ana, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Marie E. DeCamp
Marie Elizabeth DeCamp, 81, formerly of Medford, died Sunday (Jan. 25, 1998) in Willis, Texas, where she was living. No local service is planned. Interment will be in Spokane, Wash.
She was born Marie McAvoy on Nov. 14, 1916, in Chicago, Ill.
Mrs. DeCamp lived in Medford for many years before moving to Houston, Texas, in 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverley Koback, Willis; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas De Camp.

Caroline M. Stevenson
Caroline M. Stevenson, 91, widow of Elmo Stevenson, president for 23 years of what is now Southern Oregon University, died Tuesday (Jan. 27, 1998) at her Medford foster home. A private service was held.

She was born Martha Caroline Miles on Sept. 6, 1906, in Porterville, Calif.
Mrs. Stevenson was a 1928 graduate of San Jose State College.
On Dec. 18, 1926, in Reno, she married Elmo Stevenson, who died in 1973.
They were members of the original staff of Eastern Oregon College in La Grande, teaching there for several years before moving to Corvallis, where Mr. Stevenson was on the Oregon State University faculty for five years.
When he became president of SOSC in 1946, they moved to Ashland.
Mrs. Stevenson was named Woman of the Year for her community activities in 1955 and an American Association of University Women scholarship was named in her honor in 1968.
She was active in AAUW, PTA, Campfire Girls, Cub Scouts, Fortnightly Study Club, Chapter EE of PEO Sisterhood, and the Tudor Guild.
For 10 years, the Stevensons were a host family for Ethiopian students studying at the Ashland college.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosemary Stevenson, Phoenix, and Vivian Locke, Ashland; a son, Kenneth, Corvallis; two sisters, Mildred Atkinson, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Mary Swanson, Port Orchard, Wash.; a brother, Gordon Miles, Boulder City, Nev.; and six granddaughters. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
