Audrey Violet Hinkle

The funeral for Audrey Violet Hinkle will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Apostolic Faith Church. Earl Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hinkle, 71, formerly of Medford, died Saturday (Feb. 14, 1998) at her son's Portland home.

She was born Audrey Violet Meeds on Oct. 21, 1926, in Barry, Ariz.

On April 28, 1945, in San Francisco, she married Derrell Hinkle, who preceded her in death. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1950, and she to Portland two years ago.

Mrs. Hinkle was a cook for Rogue Valley Care Center for many years.

She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was also involved with the Good News Club.

Survivors include five sons, Derrell, White City, Ernie, Central Point, C.J. and Michael, both Portland, and Wayne, Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight daughters, Lindia Hinkle, Sandra DePaz, Marie Aneshabaley, Donna Barre and Phyllis Santo, all Portland, JoAnn Apling, Frenchglen, Sylvia Staller, Tehachapi, Calif., and Lois Morgan, Fort Smith, Ariz.; four brothers, Lawrence Meeds, White City, Wayne, Homer and Alvin Meeds, all Ruch; three sisters, Martha Verschoor, Medford, Viola Monk, Ruch, and Lindia Grisham, Eagle Point; 23 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Charlie Meeds.

Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. today in Hillcrest Mortuary, Medford.

Loretta E. Hogue

The funeral for Loretta Elizabeth Hogue will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Chapel in Medford. Private interment will follow in Laurel Cemetery in Kirby.

Mrs. Hogue, 87, formerly of Medford, died Saturday (Feb. 14, 1998) of cancer at her daughter's Klamath Falls home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Klamath Hospice Inc., 437 Main St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.

She was born Loretta Elizabeth Artmier on Sept. 26, 1910, in Greensburg, Ind.

In 1933, near McCloud, Calif., she married Robert Valentine Hogue, who died in November of 1995. They lived in Medford for more than 30 years, moving to Klamath Falls in 1994.

A member of Nevita Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Central Point, was a past worthy matron of the chapter and royal matron of Roxy Ann Court, Order of the Amaranth, Medford. While in Alturas, Calif., she was deputy grand matron of OES.

She enjoyed cooking and sewing.

Survivors include a son, Robert A., Klamath Falls; two daughters, Mary Blodgett, Klamath Falls, and Shirley Wion, Burns; a sister, Mildred Marion, in Indiana; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Chapel.

Wyatt E. Keene

The memorial graveside service for Wyatt Eugene Keene will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Gilmer, chaplain of the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary, White City, will officiate.

Mr. Keene, 76, of Medford, died Thursday (Feb. 12,1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.

He was born Oct. 9, 1921, in Frostburg, Md. The family moved to the Rogue Valley when he was a baby.

A carpenter in construction most of his life, Mr. Keene last worked for Dumas Laundry in Medford.

He was a member of the Carpenters Union for 30 years.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Crumm, Medford; five step-daughters, Yvonne Sarvis, Debbie McGrath, and Toni Apted, all Medford, Patty Moonie, Kalispell, Mont., and Darlene Adkins, McKinleyville, Calif.; a brother, Fred, Medford; two sisters, Rhoda Parrick, Seattle, and Val Sanderson, Portland; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Audry St. Arnold, Mickey Kindred, and Sally Freeman, preceded him in death.

Adell M. Obenshain

Adell Mathell Obenshain, 83, of Central Point, died Friday (Feb. 13, 1998) at Hearthstone. A private service is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1207, Medford, OR 97501.

She was born Adell Mathell Kyker on May 2, 1913, in Lindsay, Okla.

On July 15, 1935, in Santa Ana, Calif., she married Earl Obenshain, who survives.

She attended the Central Point Community Bible Church and enjoyed sewing, camping, painting ceramics, and writing poetry.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Earlene Joyce Wyatt, Central Point, and Paula Jean Pendelton, Roseburg; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Eight sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.

Stella F. Taylor

The funeral for Stella Francis Taylor will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel. Private interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Taylor, 92, formerly of Medford, died Tuesday (Feb. 10, 1998) in Stockton, Calif.

She was born Stella Combs on Aug. 27, 1905, in Fallville, Ark.

On June 26, 1920, in Oklahoma, he married Sam Taylor, who died in 1966. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1951 from Southern California.

She returned to Stockton in 1979.

Mrs. Taylor enjoyed gardening and crafts, including making Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus dolls.

Survivors include three sons, Charles, Medford, Jay, Cave Junction, and Henry, Visalia, Calif.; five daughters, Leona Moorem and Opal Huls, both Chino, Calif., Bonnie Mattingly, Stockton, Carol Smith, Topock, Ariz., and Marlana Butler, Spokane, Wash.; 28 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Betty Lee Taylor, and two sons, Earl and Ray, preceded her in death.

Robert H. Fenn

Robert Hamilton Fenn, 77 of Medford, died Monday (Jan. 26, 1998) in Sun City, Ariz., where he spends his winters. A memorial service was held in Sun City.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, 12704 N. Plaza Del Rio Blvd., Peoria, AZ 85381.

He was born May 15, 1920, in Greencastle, Ind.

Mr. Fenn served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He transferred to the Naval Air Reserve and flew Clippers for PanAm, transporting top priority military personnel and medical supplies.

In 1950 he married Shirley Branlund, who died in 1969. They moved to Portland in 1956 and to Medford in 1963.

Mr. Fenn was area manager for Sun Electric in Medford, retiring in 1982.

In May of 1977, he married Margaret Williams, who survives.

Mr. Fenn enjoyed traveling in his motorhome.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Julia Atkinson, Medford, Susan Shawhan, Grants Pass, and Janet Harrison, West Haven, Utah; a son, Philip, Bend; a sister, Betty Tenholder, in Indiana; and six grandchildren.

Carolyn V. Ohlhausen

The graveside service for Carolyn V. Ohlhausen will be held Tuesday in the Olivewood Cemetery, Riverside, Calif. Pastor Robin Montgomery will officiate.

Mrs. Ohlhausen, 82, of Central Point, died Tuesday (Feb. 10, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Carolyn Goforth on Nov. 25, 1915, in Dennison, Texas.

On May 26, 1947, in Yuma, Ariz., she married George C. Ohlhausen, who survives.

They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1989 from Mount Vernon, Ill.

During World War II, Mrs. Ohlhausen worked in the machine shop at Precision National in California.

She enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, George S., Medford, Danny, Creswell, and Lyn Potts, in Pennsylvania; two daughters, Martha Midkiff, Atlanta, Ga., and Georgia England, Mount Vernon, Ill.; a brother, Jess Goforth, in California; a sister, Jean Bonebarger, in California; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Central Valley Cremation & Funeral Care, Central Point.

Lorraine Lona Rondeau

Lorraine Londa Rondeau, 82, of Rogue River, died Sunday (Feb. 8, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center in Medford. A private service will be held later.

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501 or to the American Lung Association of Oregon, 9320 S.W. Barbur Blvd., Suite 140, Portland, OR 97219-5481.

She was born Lorraine Dickerson on Oct. 11, 1915, in Frewsburg, N.Y.

On May 29, 1959, she married Lloyd Rondeau, who preceded her in death. They moved to the Rogue Valley in the late 1960s from California.

Mrs. Rondeau had been a welder.

She enjoyed traveling and crocheting.

Survivors include an aunt, LulaBelle Dickerson, Grants Pass; and three stepchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a stepson.

Arrangements: Central Valley Cremation & Funeral Care, Central Point.
