Anna B. Copeland
Anna B. Copeland, 86, of Medford, died Sunday (March 15, 1998) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Dec. 16, 1911, in Des Moines, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Copeland, Medford.

Barbara Rotvik
The funeral for Barbara Ann Rotvik will be at 11 a.m. today in the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel. Charles Harlow, retired minister, will officiate.
Mrs. Rotvik, 64, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 10, 1998) in Medford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.
She was born Barbara Ann Schaefer on Dec. 29, 1933, in Los Angeles.
On Nov. 14, 1952, in Las Vegas, she married Curtis J. Rotvik, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Camarillo, Calif., eight years ago.
Mrs. Rotvik was a financial officer in the banking industry.
She enjoyed bridge, the outdoors, and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Steven, Gregory, and Christopher; a daughter, Karen Dawley; her mother, Dorothy Schaefer; a brother, Marshall Schaefer; a sister, Donna Serverson; and three grandchildren. A brother, Paul Schaefer, preceded her in death.

`General' Custer Logan
The funeral for "General" Custer Logan will be at 9 a.m. Monday in the Central Valley Chapel, Central Point. The Rev. Lou Schneider of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
Mr. Logan, 87, of Central Point, died Wednesday (March 11, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born April 28, 1910, in Deer Creek, Okla.
Mr. Logan was a engineer for the Missouri & East Texas (M&ET) Railroad until retiring.
He moved to the Rogue Valley five years ago from Modesto, Calif.
Mr. Logan enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Beiter and Linda Parker, both Central Point; a brother, Clarence, in Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Red, and Harlen.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Central Valley Chapel.

Marjorie Cutting
The memorial service for Marjorie Jane Cutting will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Redwood Country Church, 1640 Redwood Ave., Grants Pass. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Cutting, 66, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (March 12, 1998) at her home.
She was born Marjorie Jane Crum on Aug. 27, 1931, in Santa Monica, Calif.
On May 21, 1954, in Ontario, Calif., she married Leslie K. Cutting Jr., who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Ontario 26 years ago.
She was a member of the Redwood Country Church.
Mrs. Cutting enjoyed cake decorating, sewing, and knitting.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Leslie Daniel, Grants Pass; three daughters, Pamela Cutting, Grants Pass, Janeen Roark, Carr, Colo., and Lori Anderson, San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Frank Crumm, Vista, Calif.; and six grandchildren. A grandson preceded her in death.

Robert E. Stephan
The funeral for Robert E. Stephan will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Christian Church, Medford. The Rev. Dave Campbell will officiate.
Mr. Stephan, 61, of Medford, died Wednesday (March 11, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 5, 1936, in Oberlin, Ohio.
On June 20, 1959, in Elyria, Ohio, he married Patricia Peters, who survives. they moved to Yreka, Calif., from Pleasant Hill, Calif., then to Medford, in 1996.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he was a distribution engineer for Pacific Gas & Electric in California for about 30 years.
A licensed commercial pilot and certified flight instructor instrument, Mr. Stephan had more than 3,000 hour of flight time. He also was certified as a gold seal flight instructor.
An avid chess player, he also enjoyed computer games, and football.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Michael Scott, Livermore, Calif.; two brothers, Dr. John D., Kalispell, Mont., and Lewis T., Chicago; and two sisters, Mary Ann Williams, Otto, N.C., and Suzanne Carpenter, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Friends may pay their respects from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday in First Christian Church.

Nadine Herring
Nadine Herring, 76, of Phoenix, died Thursday (March 12, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No local service is planned.

She was born Blossom Nadine Jarry on Nov. 17, 1921, in Texarkana, Ark.
She moved to the Rogue Valley 40 years ago from Calfiornia.
Mrs. Herring, an avid gardener, tended the flower gardens at Jarvis Village Apartments for 12 years. She also enjoyed crocheting and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Larry, Gold Hill, and Tim Bishop, Wimer; two daughters, Karen Sanderson, Jacksonville, and Jean, Palm Springs, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Ronald Leon Harper
The memorial service for Ronald Leon Harper will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Chapel. The Rev. Bunny Oliver of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Mr. Harper, 88, of Medford, died Thursday (March 12, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.

He was born April 17, 1909, in Wosley, S.D. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1934 from Virgil, S.D.
On Feb. 10, 1934, in Medford, he married Marion Mann, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Harper was a dispatcher for Pacific Power from 1924 until 1971, except during World War II when he served with the U.S. Army in Germany.
He moved to Hemet, Calif., from Medford in 1976, returning in 1996.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union and a member of the Rogue Valley Country Club. He enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. Three brothers, H.J., Steve, and John T., preceded him in death.

Andrew F. Payne
Andrew Frank Payne, 91, of Phoenix, died Thursday (March 12, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center. No local service is planned. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
He was born June 5, 1906, in Happy Camp, Calif., a son of William and Violet Payne.
A self-employed landscape gardener, he travel extensively.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two cousins and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
