Delbert W. Preslar
The funeral for Delbert W. Preslar will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Hull & Hull Chapel, Grants Pass.
Mr. Preslar, 76, of Rogue River, died Tuesday (March 17, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born May 16, 1921, in Petrolia, Texas.
On April 14, 1945, in Reno, Nev., he married Delma Carter, who survives.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Preslar operated Del's Catering for 20 years in Bakersfield, Calif., then moved to the Rogue Valley in 1989. He managed apartments and mobile homes for many years and worked for Skeeter's Logging for 10 years while living in Prospect. He also lived in Grants Pass off and on during the years.
As a young man he enjoyed hunting.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Denise Corcoran, Lakeview, and Darla Thompson, Bakersfield, Calif.; a son, Donald W., Bakersfield; a brother, Jeff Overstreet, Springfield; a sister, Jackie Bivens, Las Vegas, Nev.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Friends may pay their respects from 1 to 7 p.m. today at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors, Grants Pass.
Gertrude L. Woodward
Gertrude L. Woodward, 87, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (March 12, 1998) at Three Rivers Community Hospital. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Mantua, Ohio.
She was born Gertrude Lehtinen on Dec. 6, 1910, in Cleveland, Ohio.
On July 16, 1932, in Cleveland, she married Leighton Kyle Woodward, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1973 from Mantua.
She worked in retail sales with the Higbee Co. in Cleveland.
Mrs. Woodward enjoyed gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Perry and Leighton K., both Grants Pass, and William H., Mantua; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Ella Mae McGrew
Ella Mae McGrew, 81, of Medford, died Monday (March 16, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center. Private inurnment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
She was born Ella Mae Ruland on Jan. 4, 1917, in Spokane, Wash., and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1932.
She recently moved to Horton Plaza.
A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ashland, Daughters of the Nile, and Order of Easter Star, she also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include a son, Ed, Ellensburg, Wash.; a brother, Al L. Ruland, in Colorado; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Robert Dale Allen
The memorial service for Robert Dale Allen will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the River Road Baptist Church, Eugene. Interment will be in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Allen, 70, formerly of Medford, died Thursday (March 18, 1998) at his home in Eugene.

He was born Jan. 29, 1928, in Upland, Calif.
On June 13, 1993, in Eugene, he married Rose Arnold, who survives.
Mr. Allen was a longtime Medford resident before moving to Eugene in 1991.
He worked in the lumber industry for many years, starting as a timber faller and later as a private contractor. He retired in 1990.
Mr. Allen served two years in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of the River Road Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Deborah L. Wells, Eugene; a son, Michael Thornhill, Lakeview; a brother, Raleigh, Butte Falls; two sisters, Alice Keefe, Talent, and Mary Romero, Fontana, Calif.; and two grandchildren. His first wife, Marcia Love Allen, died in 1978.

Alvin W. Knape
Alvin W. Knape, 86, of Shady Cove, died Monday (March 16, 1998) at his home. No service is planned.
He was born Nov. 25, 1911, in Alvin, Texas.
Mr. Knape was a painter for various companies in California.
He moved to the Rogue Valley 30 years ago from California.
Mr. Knape was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and raising cats.
His wife, Florence, died in 1996.

Nellie K. Hollenbeck
The cryptside service for Nellie Kamerrer Hollenbeck will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Deschutes Memorial Gardens, Bend. Pastor Tom Shelton of the Powell Butte Christian Church will officiate.
Mrs. Hollenbeck, 101, of Medford, died Monday (March 16, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.

She was born Nellie May Kamerrer on Aug. 16, 1896, in Pullman, Wash.
Mrs. Hollenbeck grew up in Pullman and attended schools in Eurtsville County, Wash.
On Jan. 6, 1915, in Pullman, she married Reuben L. Hollenbeck, who died in 1979. Mr. Hollenbeck was one of the first Oregon State Police officers.
They moved to The Dalles in 1923, then to La Grande in 1936. After coming to Medford in 1940, the Hollenbecks operated Holly's Seafood Co. on North Central Avenue until 1946.
Mrs. Hollenbeck was a member of Welcome Wagon, Medford Lady Elks, La Grande Lady Elks, and Eurtsville Grange. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing pinochle.
Survivors include a daughter, Faye Hollenbeck Hogue, Medford; two sons, Willard B., Bend, and E.C. "Holly," Palm Desert, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Carl L. in 1932, and Robert D. in 1977; and a brother, W.C. Kamerrer.

River Trail Hanson
The funeral for River Trail Hanson will be at noon Friday in the Jerusalem Center, 6 Mace Road, Medford. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
River, 2, died Sunday (March 15, 1998) in the Union Creek area.
He was born Jan. 24, 1996, in Medford. River was born with a brain infection and was considered "a living miracle."
He enjoyed listening to his parents play guitar and sing.
Survivors include his father, David R. Hanson, Eagle Point; a brother, Peter Nye, Central Point; a sister, Petra Nye, Central Point; grandparents, Mary Lou Cavanaugh, Eagle Point, George and Lorna Hanson and Terri and Steve Dipple, all Klamath Falls, and Leroy and Leslie Holdsworth, in California; and great-grandmothers, Evelyn Borgen, Tulelake, Calif., and Alma Hagen, Bellingham, Wash.

Alan Grant Wright
The graveside service for Alan Grant Wright will be at 1 p.m. March 27 in La Pine.
Mr. Wright, 68, formerly of the Rogue Valley, died Sunday (March 8, 1998) in Quartzsite, Ariz. His home was in La Pine.
He was born April 15, 1929, in Los Angeles.
In 1948, in Mindon, Nev., he married Dorothy Heflin, who preceded him in death.
A Rogue Valley resident from 1945 to 1989, he had lived in Grants Pass, Eagle Point and Sams Valley.
Mr. Wright was a retired truck driver.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include three sons, Edmond Lloyd, White City, Glen Alan, La Pine, and Stanley Howard, Stayton; a brother, John Lloyd, Phoenix; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Haertle.
