Anna L. Prestlien
The funeral for Anna L. Prestlien will be held Saturday at Gamby Mortuary in Lomita, Calif. Interment will be in Green Hills Memorial Park in San Pedro, Calif.
Mrs. Prestlien, 93, of Ruch, died Thursday (March 19, 1998) in Medford.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3101 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, OR 97201.
She was born June 16, 1904, in Eagle Point, a daughter of Charles and Lilah Walch Thomas. The Walches, an Oregon pioneer family, moved to the Wellen area in 1882.
Mrs. Prestlien graduated from Everett, Wash., High School.
On Nov. 20, 1926, in Everett, she married Nelvin Prestlien, who died in 1988. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1964 from Lomita.
Mrs. Prestlien was a member of the Crater Garden Club and Rogue Valley Pairs RV Club.
Survivors include four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Lee Gauss in 1979; a son, Donald, in 1978; two brothers, Carroll Prestlien and Everett Prestlien; and a grandson.

`Bun' Young
A funeral for LaVerne May "Bun" Young will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Perl Funeral Service Siskiyou Chapel with the Rev. John Braund of Phoenix First Presbyterian Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Young, 69, of Medford, died Friday (March 20, 1998) at her residence.

She was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Alsea, and lived on a dairy farm until her family moved to Medford in 1936. She attended Lone Pine Elementary School, and graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1946.
On Jan. 11, 1948, in Medford, she married Davis Miller "Pop" Young, who survives.
She began working for the Medford Water Commission in 1947. She retired in 1991 after 44 years.
She was past president of the Alpha Lambda Chapter No. 616, and was an active member of the Rogue Valley Country Club. With her husband, she was a member of the Rogue Valley Dressers Motorcycle Club. She also was an avid skier.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sisters, Barbara Pixler, Anderson, Calif., and Ruth Smeltz, Moscow, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alta Yocom, a brother, Robert Yocom, and a sister, Arlene Yocom.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Perl Funeral Service-Siskiyou Chapel.
Dain Tucker
A service for Dain Tucker was held Sunday, March 8, at the Paramatman Dharma, Ashland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for God Realization or the Oregon Tiger Sanctuary, P.O. Box 458, Eagle Point, OR 97524.
Mr. Tucker, 28, of Ashland drowned while traveling in Queensland, Australia, on Feb. 27, 1998. He also lived part time with his father, Robert Tucker, in St. Louis, Mo.
In addition to his father, Mr. Tucker is survived by his mother, Lesley Pollard of Ojai, Calif.; five sisters, Kimberly, Allison and Ashley Tucker, all of St. Louis, Spring Wright of Santa Fe, N.M., and Paige Pollard of Las Vegas, Nev.; and grandparents Evelyn and Ralph Tucker of St. Louis, Mo., and Sandy Sadugor of Sacramento, Calif.

Barbara `Annie' Wright
The memorial service for Barbara "Annie" JoAnn Wright will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, 1900 Crater Lake Ave., Medford. The ministerial staff of Applegate Christian Fellowship with officiate.
Mrs. Wright, 62, of Gold Hill, died Friday (March 20, 1998) at her home.
Mrs. Wright was born July 16, 1933, in Gold Hill to LaRoy and Nona Centers. On Jan. 18, 1960, she married Raymond "Ray" M. Wright, who lives in Yreka, Calif.
She was a member of the first graduating class of Crater High School in Central Point, where she was a cheerleader. She also was instrumental in selecting the school colors.
She was employed from 1956 to 1989 as a grocery checker at the Big Y Shopping Center in Medford. Until 1997 she worked at Shop-N-Kart in White City. She was a member of the Retail Clerks Union for more than 33 years.
Mrs. Wright enjoyed outdoor activities with her family, including fishing and wild morel mushroom hunting. She also enjoyed her pets and flower gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her mother, Nona Centers, Gold Hill; son Chip Wright, Central Point; two daughters, Cheryl Johnson, Medford, and Debbie Luttmer, Sweet Home; two sisters, Virginia Rivett, Sacramento, Calif., and Marcia Brotherton, Gold Hill; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Centers, and one sister, Donna Hobson.

Paul K. Chisholm Sr.
Paul Kenneth Chisholm Sr., 62, of Medford died Friday (March 20, 1998) at his home. Private family services will be held later.
He was born to Ernest Joseph and Alma Cecelia Chisholm in Medford, Mass., on June 16, 1935.
Mr. Chisholm worked as an electrical contractor in the construction business prior to his retirement. He was an active member of the Clan Chisholm Society.
Survivors include two sons; Paul K. Chisholm, Stuttgart, Germany, and Ernest J. Chisholm II, Central Point; three daughters, Heather Linehan, Chicago, Ill., Mary B. Papki, Rochell, Ill., and Denise C. Chisholm, Oaklawn, Ill.; one brother, Ronald E. Chisholm, New Hampshire; and one sister, Alma J. Rigazio, Chelmsford, Mass.; and seven grandchildren. He also is survived by his former wife, Mary Lou Chisholm, Oaklawn, Ill.

Miguel Lemos Quiroga
The memorial funeral mass for Miguel Lemos Quiroga will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 449 S. Ivy St., Medford. Father Mark Cach will officiate.
Mr. Quiroga, 74, of Medford died Friday (March 20, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center, Medford.
He was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Laredo, Texas, to Frank and Sara Quiroga.
Mr. Quiroga moved from Texas to Oregon in 1953.
Survivors include a son, Charles W. Quiroga, Medford; two daughters, Sara L. Quiroga and Alecia D. Elverude, both of Medford; two brothers, Louie Garcia, Medford; and Maximillian Savallis, Mexico; one sister, Maria Ruiz, Mexico; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jesus Lemos Quiroga.

Victor `Vic' V. Stewart
The memorial service for Victor "Vic" V. Stewart will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Christian Center, 188 Garfield St., Ashland. Pastor Ron Timen will officiate. Private inurnment will be in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.

Mr. Stewart, 78, of Ashland, died Saturday (March 21, 1998) at the Ashland Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Ballantine, Mont., to William L. Stewart and the former Ivah I. Davies. He was a graduate of Ashland High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. For 41 years, he worked for Pacific Northwest Bell, retiring in 1982.
Mr. Stewart helped organize the first 4-H horse club in Jackson County and was involved in 4-H for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Ashland Wranglers and was past president of the Medford Trail Riders. In 1959, he headed up the Oregon Centrennial covered wagon trip to Corvallis. In 1967, he was named Ashland Father of the Year. An avid cowboy, he also was a horse judge, and operated a small ranch, along with his faithful ranch dog, Skip.
Mr. Stewart was married to the former Carol E. Templer for 46 years, until her death in 1985. On May 31, 1986, he married the former Mary Ann (Whitsett) Conger, who survives. Additional survivors include one son, Gary Stewart of Ashland; one sister, Sybyl Squire of Ashland; three stepsons and one stepdaughter; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.

George B. Sherbourne
George B. Sherbourne, 81, of Medford, died Thursday (March 19, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center in Medford. A private family service will be held later.
He was born May 16, 1916, in Oakland, Calif.
On July 31, 1936, in San Jose, Calif., he married Gladys E. Rhoades, who survives. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary last year.
Mr. Sherbourne moved to the Rogue Valley from California in 1979. Before his retirement, he was a building contractor and carpenter. He was a member of the Carpenters Union for more than 55 years.
A member of the Mount Mazama Mushroom Association, where he was a treasurer for 15 years, he was known as an expert identifier of wild mushrooms in the Rogue Valley.
He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Lynn Alan Sherbourne, White City, and David George Sherbourne and Melvin Phillip Sherbourne, both of Medford; a daughter, Jeanie Louise Payne of Oregon; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Alan Grant Wright
The graveside service for Alan Grant Wright will be at 1 p.m. March 27 in La Pine.
Mr. Wright, 68, formerly of the Rogue Valley, died Sunday (March 8, 1998) in Quartzsite, Ariz. His home was in La Pine.
He was born April 15, 1929, in Los Angeles.
In 1948, in Mindon, Nev., he married Dorothy Heflin, who survives.
A Rogue Valley resident from 1945 to 1989, Mr. Wright had lived in Grants Pass, Eagle Point and Sams Valley. He was a retired truck driver.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Edmond Lloyd, White City; Glen Alan, La Pine; and Stanley Howard, Stayton; a brother, John Lloyd, Phoenix; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Haertle.
