Mildred Raymond O'Bleness
The memorial service for Mildred T. Raymond O'Bleness will be in Barre, Vt., on April 18. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Barre.
Mrs. Raymond O'Bleness, 86, of Talent, died Monday (March 23, 1998) at Jackson House.

She was born April 13, 1911, in Barre.
On May 12, 1934, in Vermont, she married Arthur John Raymond, who died in 1980.
She moved to Oregon from Florida in 1990.
On June 12, 1991, in Ashland, she married Donald O'Bleness, who died in 1992.
Survivors include two daughters, Adleen Thornton, Ashland, and Ann Christine Daniels, New Port Richey, Fla.; two sons, Arthur W. Raymond, Foster City, Calif., and Andrew T. Raymond, Paia, Hawaii; a brother, Francis Tomasi, Bennington, Vt.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Marie C. Rehling
Marie C. Rehling, 99, of Medford, died Monday (March 23, 1998) at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. No service is planned.
She was born Oct. 19, 1898, in Denmark, and emigrated to the United States as a young girl.
Mrs. Rehling moved to Medford more than 45 years ago from Modesto, Calif.
With her husband, Frederick Rehling, she owned and operated Medford Meat Packing Co.
Mrs. Rehling was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Bridge Club in Medford. She was a volunteer for Red Cross and the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary.
She and her husband traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Orient.
Survivors include three nephews, Martin Rehling, Coquille, and James Nisson and Dick Thomsen, both in California; and two nieces, Joyce McCullough and Carole Nisson, both in California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Rehling.

Marion Burich
Marion Burich, 79, of Medford, died Wednesday (March 25, 1998) at her home.

Dorothy B. Meeker
Dorothy B. Meeker, 78, of Medford, died Friday (March 20, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center. A memorial service was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and interment in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
She was born Dorothy Chall on Dec. 2, 1919, in St. Louis, Mo.
In 1943, at the Santa Ana, Calif., Army Air Base, she married Leland D. Meeker, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1946 from Santa Ana.
Mrs. Meeker was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and later Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Shady Cove.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Pam M. Rouchier, Medford, Kathy M. Melton, Scappoose, and Debbie M. Carnelison, Klamath Falls; nine sons, Ralph and John, both Eagle Point, Don, Medford, Glen, Wilsonville, Tom, Portland; Richard, Warrenton, Va., Dennis, St. Louis, Mo., James, Castle Rock, Wash., and Gary, Vacaville, Calif.; 38 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille and Patsy; two brothers, Edward and John Chall; and three grandchildren.

Louis Clifton Gordon
Louis Clifton Gordon, 97, a resident of Rogue Valley Manor in Medford, died Wednesday (March 18, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No public service is planned.

He was born Oct. 19, 1900, in the mining camp of Clancy, Mont., and grew up in Helena, Mont.
On June 10, 1927, in Helena, he married Ethel May Spargo, who died in 1990.
They lived in Butte, Mont., for two years before being transferred to Great Falls, Mont., with the Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors.
Later he worked for Anaconda Copper Mining Co., retiring a metallurgical accountant in 1966. Mr. Gordon also had worked for the Great Northern Railroad in Montana and had owned a bottling company.
He and his wife moved to Medford in 1969. They were members of the First Presbyterian Church.
As a young man he entertained groups with cartooning at a stand-up easel.
His lifetime hobby was an avid interest in gardening. He also had a strong interest in history and enjoyed presenting slide shows of historical sites he and his wife visited in and outside the United States after retiring.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Mae Gordon, Sacramento, Calif.

Della Taylor
The memorial service for Della Taylor will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Perl Funeral Services-Siskiyou Chapel, Medford. The Rev. Brendan McAnerney of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church, Ashland, will officiate.
Mrs. Taylor, 74, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 24, 1998) at her home.
Arrangements are being handled by Perl Funeral Services-Siskiyou.
James Monroe Neill
The memorial service for James Monroe Neill will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Talent Friends Church. Pastor Dave Russell will officiate.
Mr. Neill, 83, of Medford, died Monday (March 23, 1998) at his home.

He was born Sept. 19, 1914, in Patchogue, N.Y. Six months later, the family moved to Oregon.
On March 13, 1937, in Klamath Falls, he married Hazel Ann Stiles, who died in 1991.
In 1945, he moved from Klamath Falls to Ashland, where he worked for Fir Milling for nearly 20 years. When Fir Milling ceased operation, Mr. Neill worked for Kogap Lumber until retiring.
Mr. Neill enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and gold panning.
Survivors include three sons, James Jr. and Steven, both Medford, and Michael, White City; three daughters, Shirley Tycksen, Sandra McClure and Debra Qualls, all Klamath Falls; a brother, Vic Rose, Redding, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin.

Marie Flury Mitchell
Mass will be celebrated for Marie D. Flury Mitchell at 10 a.m. Friday in Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, Central Point. The Rev. Jim Clifford will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mitchell, 94, of Eagle Point, died Tuesday (March 24, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Marie Cox on May 5, 1903, in Indian River, Mich., and grew up in Astoria.
Mrs. Mitchell attended Christy School in Lake Oswego.
On Jan. 5, 1919, in Klamath Falls, she married Chester A. Flury, who died in 1959.
Mrs. Mitchell moved to the Rogue Valley in 1934 from Chiloquin.
In July 1960, in Washington, she married Leonard Mitchell, who died in 1981.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church and enjoyed painting, crocheting, and gardening.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Flury, White City, and Don Flury, Portland; three daughters, Mary Jo Hannah and Lorna Zeitler, both Eagle Point, and Evelyn Marie Flury, Panama City Beach, Fla.; a sister, Joan Doney, Woodburn; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Chester Flury and Richard Marvin Flury.

Forrest Samples
The funeral for Forrest Samples will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Perl Funeral Services-Siskiyou, Medford. Pastor Mike Mayben of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mr. Samples, 84, of Central Point, died Monday (March 23, 1998) at his son's home in Medford.
He was born July 14, 1913, in Deer Lodge, Mont.
Mr. Samples grew up in Montana. As a young man he logged with his brothers in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and other areas.
On July 1, 1939, in Wallowa, he married Vivian D. Smith, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley 50 years ago from Kinzua, Wheeler County.
Mr. Samples worked 20 years for Elk Lumber Co., then 20 years with Steve Wilson Lumber Co. before retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the Old Time Fiddlers and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Dennis, Medford; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary; a daughter, Marilyn Samples; two brothers, Mark and Hugh; and two sisters, Orpha Kopta and Birthy Metts.
