Dr. L.W. Buonocore
The memorial service for Dr. Lawrence W. Buonocore will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Rogue Valley Country Club. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Dr. Buonocore, 87, of Medford, died Saturday (March 28, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 2, 1910, in New York City, where he graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in 1927.
He was a 1935 graduate of New York University Medical School and was licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey and Oregon.
He practiced medicine in New Jersey for a short time before coming to Medford in 1936. He opened his practice in Medford after being a staff medical officer with the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Then returned to his practice in 1946 after service in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1996.
Dr. Buonocore was on the staffs of both Providence and Rogue Valley medical centers. He was a member of the county, state, and national medical associations.
He was a Red Coat volunteer with Oregon Shakespeare Festival and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shrine, and Rotary.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie, Medford; four daughters, Carol Cross, Breeze, Fla., Laurie Beth Stackhouse, Sacramento, Calif., Madelyn Gordon, Northridge, Calif., and Alecia Buonocore-Elvstad, Brookings; a son, Richard Lawrence, Sterling Heights, Mich.; a sister, Josephine Buonocore, New York City; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Two brothers, Michael and Joseph; a sister, Lucy Buonocore; and two grandchildren, preceded him in death.

Ronald H. Williams
The funeral for Dr. Ronald Holton Williams will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Ashland Christian Fellowship. Entombment will follow in the Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland. Pastor Don Baker will officiate.
Dr. Williams, 77, of Medford, died Friday (March 27, 1998) at his home.
He was born July 27, 1920, in Liverpool, England. He attended British schools and was a captain in the British Army.
He practiced as a physician for three years following his military service.
On July 15, 1948, in Liverpool, he married Veronica Delaney Gordon, who survives. They came to the United States in 1954. He studied medicine at Stanford University for four years and practiced medicine in Los Angeles for 25 years.
They moved to Ashland in 1983 following his retirement. They moved to Medford in 1984.
An avid reader, he also enjoyed golfing.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include several nieces and nephews. Two brothers prceded him in death.

John A. Haworth
The funeral for John Albert Haworth will be at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday in Trail Christian Fellowship. Christopher White will officiate. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Haworth, 64, of White City, died Friday (March 27, 1998) in Gold Beach.

Mr. Haworth, one of 21 children, was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Webber Falls, Okla.
On Sept. 12, 1952, in Bakersfield, Calif., he married Mattie D. Patterson, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1989 from California.
Mr. Haworth served on board the USS Taluga in the Pacific Theater during the Korean War.
He worked for Hughes Aircraft in California for 30 years, then retired to Medford in 1989.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and restoring old cars. He was a member of the Moose and Elks lodges.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, John Allen and Randall Kieth, both Medford; a daughter, Sharon Dolores H. King, Medford; his parents, Jack and Inez Haworth; two brothers and six sisters, all in California; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Thelma M. Sweet
The funeral for Thelma Mary Sweet will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Harvest Baptist Temple. Pastor Bob Gass will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mrs. Sweet, 86, of Medford, died Thursday (March 26, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.
She was born Feb. 13, 1912, in Carney, Okla.
On Aug. 24, 1927, in Drumright, Okla., she married Charley A. Sweet, who died in July 1982. They moved to the Rogue Valley in June 1970 from Ventura, Calif.
She attended Baptist churches and enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include two daughters, Patsy "Pat" Dameron, Central Point, and Erma Bailey, Medford; two sons, Willard, Saticoy, Calif., and LeRoy "Don", Atwater, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Laverne M. Wofford
The memorial service for Laverne Wofford will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Pastor Michael Powell of First United Methodist Church, Ashland, will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Briggville, Ark.
Mrs. Wofford, 77, of Ashland, died Friday (March 20, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford.
She was born Laverne McDonald on May 23, 1920, in Lockesburg, Ark.
She graduated from the University of Arkansas as a business major. For 20 years she worked for the AMMCO Oil Co. in Fort Worth, Texas, and Denver. After retiring she moved to Ashland in the 1980s.
She was a member of the North American Rock Garden Society and the Ashland Garden Club.
Survivors include a son, Virgil, Ashland, and a brother, Robert L. McDonald, McGehee, Ark.

Shawn M. Prince
The memorial service for Shawn Michael Prince, who had appeared on the Children's Network Telethon, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Central Valley Chapel. Joe McMahan of Rogue Valley Medical Center will officiate.
Shawn, 13, of Medford, died Wednesday (March 25, 1998) at his home.

Shawn, who had cerebral palsy, was fond of pop singer Celine Dion, who had called him and sent him an autographed photo. Last year he received a Medal of Honor for Courage from the 939th Air Force Rescue Wing at Kingsley Field, Klamath Falls.
He was born Jan. 9, 1985, in Portland.
Shawn was a student at Howard Elementary School. He enjoyed swimming, dancing, riding a four-wheeler, and camping.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Eve Ann Prince, Medford; a sister, Mandie Prince, Medford; and a grandmother, Katherine Stewart, Dundee.

Nana Pisani
The memorial service for Evelyn "Nana" M. Pisani will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Perl Funeral Services-Siskiyou Chapel, Medford. The Rev. Mark Cach of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, Calif.
Mrs. Pisani, 92, of Medford, died Thursday (March 26, 1998) at Crossings Heritage.
She was born Dec. 16, 1905, in San Francisco.
On April 16, 1936, in San Francisco, she married Narcisco Pisani, who died in 1977.
Mrs. Pisani moved to the Rogue Valley in August 1987.
She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed bird watching, music, and eating different kinds of food.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Frenna, Eagle Point; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Lydia E. Dangerfield
The funeral for Lydia Emmiline Dangerfield will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Central Valley Chapel, Central Point. Pastor Bob Gass will officiate. A cryptside service will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

She was born Lydia Craig on Aug. 19, 1911, in Spur, Texas.
On Aug. 9, 1928, in Allen, Okla., she married Harry N. Dangerfield, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley 28 years ago from Casper, Wyo.
In Casper, Mrs. Dangerfield was an interior decorator for Sears, retiring in 1964. She then was a decorator for Jergenson Paint & Decorating Center until 1969.
Mrs. Dangerfield was a member of the Professional Business Association. She enjoyed crafts and knitting and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Dr. Harry G., Frederick, Md.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Basil Craig; three sisters, Vivian Misenheimer, Gladys McKee, and Rachel Irwin; and a great-granddaughter.
