John R. Montgomery
The funeral for John Russell Montgomery will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel. W.B. "Buzz" Fish of the Central Point Masonic Lodge will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Montgomery, 90, of Medford, died Thursday (April 9, 1998) at Fountain Plaza in Medford.
He was born Feb. 8, 1908, in Dalhart, Texas.
On Jan. 31, 1931, in Vancouver, Wash., he married Pearl E. Mack, who survives. They moved to Yreka, Calif., in 1978 and to Medford in 1990.
Mr. Montgomery, a forester, had worked in Oregon, California, Washington, and British Columbia.
He was a member of the Central Point Masonic Lodge and a former member of the lodge in Yreka.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Jack R., Medford, and Hugh, Honokaa, Hawaii; a daughter, Marda Moore, Shelton, Wash.; two brothers, Bob, Stayton, and Ted, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Martha Montgomery, Portland, and Grace Allman in Missouri; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A sister and a grandchild preceded him in death.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel.

Charles G. Bean
Charles Gaston Bean, 87, of Medford, died Friday (April 10, 1998) at his home. No service is planned.
He was born March 17, 1911, in Cheyenne, Okla., living most of his life in the Rogue Valley.
He lived in Prospect until 25 years ago when he moved to Medford.
On Oct. 9, 1971, in Reno, he married Clarla Beale, who died in May 1996.
He was a forestry technician for 13 years before retiring in 1972.
Mr. Bean enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing. He was a former member of the Prospect Lions Club.
Survivors include a son, Charles D., Gilchrist; a daughter, Shari; a sister, Wayne Williams, Central Point; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A brother, Eldon Richard; and two sisters, Mildred Axel and Anne Padgett, preceded him in death.

John A. McPhail
The memorial Mass for John A. McPhail will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Mark Cach will officiate.
Mr. McPhail, 81, of Phoenix, died Thursday (April 9, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born July 23, 1916, in Edmonton, Alberta.
On Aug. 24, 1981, in LaVerne, Calif., he married June M. Swab, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1985 from LaVerne.
Mr. McPhail enjoyed golfing, walking, and visiting. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Paul in British Columbia, Alex, Windsor, Ontario, and John, Toronto; a step-son, Albert Beattie, Palmdale, Calif.; two daughters, June Mead, Great Falls, Mont., and Patricia Jung, Dubuque, Iowa; two sisters, Betty Milner, Calgary, Alberta, and Nora Corbett, Edmonton, Alberta; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

Ruth Ann Zumwalt
The graveside service for Ruth Ann Zumwalt will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eternal Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Klamath Falls. Pastor John Dungey will officiate.
Mrs. Zumwalt, 75, of Central Point, died Friday (April 10, 1998) at her home.
She was born Ruth Ann Hall on Jan. 9, 1923, in Bend.
On Feb. 15, 1947, in Reno, she married John Z. Zumwalt, who survives. They lived in Klamath Falls for a number of years before moving to Central Point.
She enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Gary L., Grants Pass; three sisters, Vivan Rose, Medford, Billie Hall in Colorado, and Delores Ohnemus in Arizona; a brother, Donald Hall in Arizona; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A sister and a granddaughter preceded her in death.

Ruth A. Mosser
The funeral for Ruth Agnes Mosser will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Interment will be in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland. Pastor Glenn Haviland of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate.
Mrs. Mosser, 81, of Medford, died Friday (April 10, 1998) at a Medford foster home.
She was born Ruth A. Cusick on Sept. 17, 1916, in Reno, Nev.
On July 2, 1948, in Reno, she married Glen O. Mosser, who died in 1991. They moved to Ashland in 1948 and to Talent in 1949, where she lived until moving to the foster home.
Mrs. Mosser worked during elections and was a member of the Talent Garden Club. She enjoyed caring for neighborhood cats and birds, sewing, and reading.
Survivors include two sons, Roy, Medford, and Paul, Los Angeles; two brothers, Robert Cusick, Bend, and David Cusick, Kirkland, Wash.; two sisters, Francis Ogden, Bow, Wash., and Margaret Widhelm, Omaha, Neb.; and two grandchildren. A sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
Frank Ngim Lime
The service for Frank Ngim Lime will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel. Pastor George Nye of Eastwood Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Lime, 73, of Medford, died Wednesday (April 8, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 19, 1924, in Toishan, Kwangtung-China.
On Aug. 12, 1958, in Medford, he married Cathie Lai Ping Wong, who survives. They moved to Medford in 1957 from Silver City, N.M.
Mr. Lime owned Far East restaurant prior to retiring in 1997.
He actively supported and contributed to many youth activities in Medford.
He was a member of the Medford Elks Lodge.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Judy Flannery, Mill Valley, Calif., Joann Lime, Belmont, Calif., and Nancy Lime, Beaverton; a son, David Lime Ma, Medford; a brother; a sister; a half-sister; and three grandchildren.

Elizabeth Worth
The memorial service for Elizabeth Ruth Worth, formerly of Trail, will be at 2 p.m. April 17 in Fairview Community Church, Fairview. Private interment will be in the Coquille Pioneer Cemetery.
Mrs. Worth, 82, of Coquille, died Wednesday (April 8, 1998) in Coquille.
She was born Elizabeth Ruth Shales on June 18, 1915, in Youngstown, Ohio. She grew up in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
On Aug. 24, 1946, in Burbank, Calif., she married Archie Worth, who died in 1990.
During the 1960s and 1970s, the couple owned and operated Sunset on the Rogue near Trail. They moved to Coquille in the mid-1970s.
She was a nurse's aide at the Hearthside Care Center in Coos Bay from 1977 to 1992, when she retired at age 77.
Mrs. Worth was an active member of Fairview Community Church and enjoyed flower gardening and sewing.
Survivors include three daughters, Monica Mathis, Medford, Irene Trendell, Myrtle Point, and Nancy Felker, Coquille; two sons, Richard Klingensmith in Georgia and James Klingensmith in Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. A son, Cecil, died in 1989.

Emily Geankoplis
Emily B. Geankoplis, 80, a Medford artist, died Tuesday (April 7, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service is planned.

She was born Emily Bradley on April 29, 1917, in Chicago.
During World War II she served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
She lived in Yreka, Calif., for 20 years before moving to Medford in 1996.
Survivors include her husband, Nicholas "Nick" Geankoplis, whom she married in Florence, Ariz.; two sons, Chris, Medford, and Brad, Sacramento, Calif.; three daughters, Nikki, Pittsburg, Calif., Penny, Medina, Ohio, and Greta, Louisville, Ky.; and eight grandchildren.
