Richard Leo Bach

The graveside service for Richard Leo Bach will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford. The Rev. Kelly Vandehey of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate.

Mr. Bach, 64, of Medford, died April 2, 1998, in Roseburg.

He was born May 29, 1933, in Portland.

Mr. Bach served in the U.S. Army.

He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 12 years, retiring in 1984.

Mr. Bach moved to the Rogue Valley in 1968 from Portland.

Survivors include two sisters, Virginia Phillips, Medford, and Shirley Piel, Seattle.

Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Mortuary, Medford.

Geraldine S. Eastman

Geraldine Susan Eastman, 57, of Medford, died Tuesday (April 14, 1998) at her home. A private service is planned. Inurnment will be in the Jacksonville Cemetery.

She was born Geraldine Jensen on June 30, 1940, in Detroit Lake, Mich.

Mrs. Eastman moved to the Rogue Valley in 1978 from Lebanon, Ore.

She enjoyed motorcycles and was a member of Jackson County American Bikers Againist Totalitarian Enactments (ABATE).

Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Mintz, Alice Kelley and Nina Solis, all Medford; a son, Jim Alley, Medford; three brothers; three sisters; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford.

Allan Keith Moyer

Allan Keith Moyer, 72, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday (April 14, 1998) at his home. A private service was held. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born July 25, 1925, in Burlington, Iowa.

On Feb. 17, 1979, in El Cajon, Calif., he married Eileen Brockus, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1990 from Bullhead City, Ariz.

Mr. Moyer was a mock-up and tool development mechanic for Lockheed.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Robert, Gresham; a daughter, Terri Lee, Panorama City, Calif.; and a sister, Donna Pfannenstiel, Davenport, Iowa.

Arrangements: Grants Pass Funeral Alternatives.

Richard Lee Wiseman

Richard Lee Wiseman, 73, of Eagle Point, died Tuesday (April 14, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Medford Chapter, 6915 S.W. Macadam, No. 130, Portland, OR 97219.

He was born July 29, 1924, in Pyatt, Ark.

Mr. Wiseman moved to the Rogue Valley in 1996 from South Dakota.

He was a member of the Medford Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include his companion, Carolyn R. Elliott, Eagle Point; three daughters, Tammy Eklund, Eagle Point, Janice Robinson, Yreka, Calif., and Rebecca Cannizzaro, Rapid City, S.D.; a son, Kevin, Seattle; two brothers, Clarence, Yakima, Wash., and Jolly, Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Winnie Dobbs, Port Orchard, Wash., and Zoe Rough, Geneva, Ind.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Abbey Funeral.

Shirley May Quinn

Shirley May Quinn, 68, of Medford, died Saturday (April 4, 1998) in Medford. No service is planned.

She was born Shirley Rose on April 11, 1929, in Inkom, Idaho.

Mrs. Quinn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include two brothers, Daniel S. Rose, Rupert, Idaho, and Danny R. Rose, Meridian, Idaho; two sisters, Carol Barneclo, Pocatello, Idaho, and Lynda Wood, Lava Hots Springs, Idaho; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Rose; and a sister, Sharon Burton.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Services-Siskiyou, Medford.

Raymond McComb

Raymond McComb, 65, of Medford, died Sunday (April 12, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center. No service is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, P.O. Box 4751, Medford, OR 97501.

He was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Medford, a son of Raymond and Velma Meadows McComb.

Mr. McComb lived most of his life in Medford.

He worked for various logging companies.

Mr. McComb was a member of the Medford Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include a son, Steve, Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Connie Labrum and Janie Bendistis, both Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Gerald, Medford; a sister, Mary Jo Harris, Medford; and seven grandchildren.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Services-Siskiyou, Medford.

Shirley M. Rice

A service, celebrating the life of Shirley M. Rice, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in Bear Creek Park in Medford. The Rev. Jim Larson of Rogue Valley Christian Church will officiate. Private interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.

Refreshments will be available at the park beginning at noon.

Mrs. Rice, 71, of Medford, died Saturday (April 11, 1998) at her home.

She was born Shirley Mae Olmstead on Sept. 28, 1926, in Yuma, Ariz., and graduated with honors from Yuma High School in 1944.

On Jan. 5, 1947, she married Millard F. Rice, who survives.

She received a bachelor's degree from San Jose State University and a master's degree from Southern Oregon University.

Mrs. Rice lived in various areas of California, Washington and Alaska, before moving to Medford in 1978 from San Jose, Calif., where she lived for 13 years.

Mrs. Rice was a licensed professional therapist and a spiritual adviser, practicing in Medford and Ashland.

She was a writer and poet. She enjoyed playing bingo, camping, hiking, and writing music.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Andy, Ashland; four daughters, Carol Rice, Medford, Sharon Rice Salamant, Berkeley, Calif., Lynda Rice Boyd, Suisun City, Calif., and Cathy Rice Harpe, Marathon, Fla.; a sister, Dolly Olmstead Gifford, Porterville, Calif.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Perl Funeral Services-Siskiyou Chapel.

Arrangements: Aaron Non-Profit, Medford.

Elaine M. Wiseman

Elaine M. Wiseman, 69, formerly of Medford, died Wednesday (Feb. 4, 1998) at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro. Her home was in Hillsboro.

No service is planned.

She was born Elaine Hoglund on March 3, 1928, in International Falls, Minn., where she grew up.

In the early 1940s, she and her sister came to Oregon, living in the Vanport area.

She married James Wiseman in the mid 1940s. He died in 1976.

In Lakeview they owned and operated an A & W Restaurant, later named the Desert Inn, as well as a small motel..

She then moved to Medford where she lived for five years and worked at Harry & David.

Mrs. Wiseman spent a few years in Eugene, where she was a baby sitter. She moved to Hillsboro in 1991.

In her earlier years, she was active in the Elkettes and Soroptimist International. She enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, and traveling.

Survivors include three sons, James K., Medford, Terry, Hillsboro, and Jerry, Vancouver, Wash.; a daughter, Etta Marie "Daisy" Griffin, White City; two sisters, Marian Boveia, in Iowa, and Bernice Plasky, Ft. Francis, Ontario; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Bronleewe-Bass Funeral Home, Hillsboro.

Belle VanDyke

The graveside service for Addie "Belle" VanDyke will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford. Pastor Harold Van Zee will officiate.

Mrs. VanDyke, 87, formerly of Medford, died Monday (Feb. 16, 1998) at her daughter's home in Gaston.

Arrangements were handled by Perl Funeral Services, Medford.
