Mary L. Trowbridge
The memorial service for Mary Loucks Trowbridge will be held Wednesday at Olympic Memorial Gardens Chapel in Olympia, Wash. The Rev. Dwight Whipple of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Olympia, will officiate.
Mrs. Trowbridge, 89, of Medford, died Thursday (April 16, 1998) at her home.

She was born Mary Loucks on Aug. 6, 1908, in Seattle, Wash. In 1919, she moved with her family to a large ranch between Olympia and Rainier, Wash.
Mrs. Trowbridge graduated from Rainier High School in 1926.
She lived most of her life in Olympia, moving to Medford in 1994.
Mrs. Trowbridge was an interior decorator for many years before retiring in 1986.
She was an avid reader and a sports fan, and enjoyed trips to the beach.
Survivors include two sons, Samuel Whitford, Medford, and Robert Yeoman, Tenino, Wash.; a sister, Jean Schlottmann, Olympia; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Trowbridge, in 1967; and two sisters, Dorothy Watson and Sybil Klingbeil Leach.

James Pollard
The funeral for James P. Pollard will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Perl Funeral Services -- Siskiyou Chapel. The Rev. Fred Strasburg will officiate.
Mr. Pollard, 82, of Medford, died Wednesday (April 15, 1998) at home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born Sept. 3, 1915, in Lake Oswego. He was a graduate of West Linn High School and the University of Oregon. On Jan. 31, 1943, in Portland, he married Margaret Peters, who died Feb. 28, 1957.
On Nov. 28, 1959, he married Evelyn Luebke of Seattle, who survives.
Mr. Pollard retired from Puget Sound Power and Light Co., Bellevue, Wash., after 32 years, the final 24 as manager of the Bellevue, Mercer Island and North Bend area. He was a member of the Congregational Church.
He was a former Kiwanis Club member and a past member of chambers of commerce in Seattle, Mercer Island, Bellevue and North Bend. He took part in the activities of the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, American Red Cross, United Way, youth groups and Bellevue Community College Advisory Council.
He moved to Honolulu upon his retirement and to Medford in 1978. He has been a member of Medford Rotary since 1980 and is a Paul Harris Fellow.
He was a former member of the Rogue Valley Country Club and Bear Creek Golf Club and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Kirkpatrick of Seattle and Margaret Alexander of Los Angeles; and one grandson.

Rose Maddox
The funeral for country music legend Rose Maddox will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Interment will follow in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.
Maddox, 72, of Ashland, died Wednesday (April 15, 1998) at the Linda Vista Care Center in Ashland.
Memorial contributions, to benefit aspiring musicians, may be made to the Rose Maddox Memorial Fund, Union Bank of California, P.O. Box 819, Ceres, CA 95307.
She was born Roselea Arbana Maddox on Aug. 15, 1925, in Boaz, Ala.
Rose Maddox was the first female artist inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame Art Gallery and in 1996 was inducted into the Alabama State Country Music Hall of Fame.
Survivors include a brother, Don Maddox; a sister, Alta Troxel; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Hale in 1982; and four brothers, R.E. "Cliff," Henry, Calvin, and Fred Maddox.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
Shirley J. Ebert
Shirley J. Ebert, 63, of Central Point, died Thursday (April 16, 1998) at her home. A private service was held. Interment was in Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford.
She was born Shirley Simpson on Jan. 30, 1935, in Topeka, Kan.
Mrs. Ebert was director of nurses for 17 years at Hill Haven Corp. in Santa Paula, Calif. After moving to the Rogue Valley in 1992 from Fillmore, Calif., she was director of nurses for five years at Linda Vista Care Center in Ashland.
She enjoyed gardening and animals.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy M. Knapp, Central Point, and Tamara G. Fellbaum, Lake Elsinore, Calif.; a son, Eric M. Siebold, Medford; a sister, Sharon J. Brown, Adelanto, Calif.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jon Mark Siebold in 1974.

Alice Horne Williamson
The memorial service for Alice Irene Horne Williamson will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Northridge Center, Phoenix. Minister Bob Friend of the Christian Church of Ashland will officiate. Private interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Calumet, Mich.
Mrs. Williamson, 86, of Ashland, died Wednesday (April 15, 1998) at the Northridge Center, Phoenix.
She was born Alice Ollila on Sept. 25, 1911, in Calumet.
Mrs. Williamson moved to Ashland in 1980 from Redwood City, Calif.
On June 15, 1985, in Reno, Nev., she married Vincent Williamson, who died Jan. 25, 1996.
Mrs. Williamson was a member of the Christian Church of Ashland.
Survivors include three sons, Paul Kunnari, Laurium, Mich., Joel Kunnari, Hubbell, Mich., and Ralph Kunnari, Redwood City; a daughter, Jean Bodwin, San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Earl Ollila, Frazier, Mich.; five sisters, Elsie Olander, Oxford, Mich., Millie Jaasko, Roseville, Mich., Lyle Ollila, Ypsilanti, Mich., Avis Trathen, Houghton, Mich., and Laverne Morris, Negawnee, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Muriel K. Luttrell
The memorial service for Muriel K. Luttrell will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Ashland. Private interment will be in the Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, Ind.
Mrs. Luttrell, 79, of Ashland, died Wednesday (April 15, 1998) at her home.

She was born Muriel Kring on Sept. 15, 1918, in Staunton, Ill.
Mrs. Luttrell graduated from the University of Illinois in 1938.
On Oct. 8, 1939, in Clinton, Ill., she married James G. Luttrell Jr., who died in 1978.
For many years she lived in Elkhart, Ind., where she was a Realtor.
After retiring to Ashland in 1987, she was a member of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Tudor Guild and the Southern Oregon Traditional Jazz Society.
Survivors include a son, Kent, Flagstaff, Ariz.; a daughter, Kathy Luttrell, South Bend, Ind.; and a brother, Charles U. Kring, San Jose, Calif. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Joan Luttrell Christlieb; three sisters; and a brother.

Taylor Brandon Fithian
The graveside service for Taylor Brandon Williamson Fithian will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Jacksonville Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Young of the First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville will officiate.
A memorial service will be held Thursday in the San Carlos Cathedral in Monterey, Calif.
Mr. Fithian, 21, of Medford, died Thursday (April 16, 1998) at his home.
He was born April 7, 1977, in Santa Cruz, Calif., and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1985 from Monterey.
Mr. Fithian attended Briscoe Elementary School, Ashland Middle School and Pacific Grove High School in California.
On June 17, 1995, in Ashland, he married Josette Julian, who survives.
He enjoyed working with his hand, nature, gardening, farming, and blues music.
Survivors include his wife, Josette Julian Fithian, Mesa, Ariz.; a daughter, Joy L. Fithian, Mesa; his mother and stepfather, Linda Richard and John Lockheed, Ashland; his father and stepmother, W. Taylor and Margie Fithian, Monterey; a brother, Peter, Ashland; and three sisters, Sabrina Fithian, Ashland, and Allison Fithian and Madeline Fithian, both Monterey.

Irene Jacobson
The funeral for Irene Jacobson will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Central Valley Chapel, Central Point. Pastor Chris White of Trail Christian Fellowship will officiate. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Jacobson, 85, of White City, died Wednesday (April 15, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Irene Fiedler on Aug. 31, 1912, in Java, S.D.
On Nov. 29, 1930, in Mobridge, S.D., she married George E. Jacobson, who died in 1984. They moved to the Rogue Valley 38 years ago from Southern California.
Mrs. Jacobson was a member of Trail Christian Fellowship, Central Point Grange, and a past secretary of Sams Valley Grange. She enjoyed crocheting for nursing homes, gardening, and reading.
Survivors include four daughters, Pamela Smith, Central Point, Sandra Meyer, White City, Jacqueline Shirley, West Covina, Calif., and Doris E. Travis, Puyallup, Wash.; a son, Stan, Jacksonville; a sister, Nina Green, Beaumont, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby and Roger Jacobson; a daughter, Joyce Jacobson; a brother, Carson Brown; a sister; and a great-grandchild.
