Donald S. Rasmussen
The graveside service for Donald Stuart Rasmussen will be at 2 p.m. today in Woodville Cemetery on Wards Creek Road, Rogue River. The Rev. Marion Clarkson of the Medford First Church of the Nazarene will officiate.
Mr. Rasmussen, 83, of Rogue River, died Thursday (June 11, 1998) at Hearthstone.

He was born March 26, 1915, in Hankow, China.
On Sept. 28, 1935, in Los Angeles, Calif., he married Pearl Schaal, who survives.
Mr. Rasmussen was a highways administrative officer for 24 years with the California Division of Highways.
After retiring in 1974, he moved to Rogue River from Sacramento, Calif.
Mr. Rasmussen enjoyed gardening, carpentry and health-related information.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Douglas, Rogue River, and Dennis, Sacramento; a daughter, Dianne Stewart, Aurora, Colo.; a sister, Zita Dunnigan, in Southern California; and four grandchildren. A brother, John, preceded him in death.

Juanita B. Christensen
The graveside service for Juanita B. Christensen will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Pete Slusher of the Central Point Community Bible Church will officiate.
Mrs. Christensen, 81, of White City, died Tuesday (June 9, 1998) at Hearthstone.
She was born Juanita Mitchell on Jan. 5, 1917, in Nevada, Mo.
On Aug. 15, 1974, in Elko, Nev., she married Ronald Lee Christensen, who survives. They moved to Oregon in 1979.
Mrs. Christensen was a waitress.
She was a member of the Eagle Point Community Bible Church and enjoyed fishing, sewing and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include numerous nieces and nephews. A brother, Nathan Holbert Mitchell, preceded her in death.
Friends may pay their respects from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Abbey Funeral, 2680 N. Pacific Highway, Medford.
Lavon Pfefferle
The graveside service for Lavon Pfefferle will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Laurel Cemetery, Kerby. Minister Stan Johnson of the West Main Church of Christ, Medford, will officiate.
Mrs. Pfefferle, 84, of Medford, died Wednesday (June 10, 1998) in Medford.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born Lavon Mock on Feb. 12, 1914, in Chautauqua, Kan.
In 1939, in Klamath Falls, she married Paul Pfefferle, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Pfefferle was a housekeeper for many years in Klamath Falls and Medford.
She moved to the Rogue Valley in the early 1970s from Klamath Falls.
Mrs. Pfefferle was a member of the West Main Church of Christ.
Survivors include six nieces.

James R. Clarke
James R. Clarke, 68, of Central Point, died Wednesday (June 10, 1998) at the Medford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. A private service is planned.

He was born July 30, 1929, in Bell, Calif.
In February 1956, in Carmel, Calif., he married Barbara Puckhaber, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1990 from the San Francisco Bay area.
Mr. Clarke served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Margaret Struby, Central Point; five nieces; and a nephew.

Yvonne Jeanne Ludwig
The funeral for Yvonne Jeanne Ludwig will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Conger-Morris Chapel, Medford.
Mrs. Ludwig, 75, of Medford, died Monday (June 8, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
She was born Yvonne Hardy on Dec. 16, 1922, in Hartington, Neb.
On April 23, 1946, she married Paul Ludwig, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hartington moved to the Rogue Valley 52 years ago from Portland.
She enjoyed playing cards with friends and watching old movies.
Survivors include a son, Gary; a daughter, Carol Ault; three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Robert `Bob' Carter
The memorial service for Robert "Bob" Carter will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Cornerstone Christian Church, Medford. Pastor Stan Way will officiate. A reception will follow at 3730 Madrona Lane, Medford.
Mr. Carter, 52, of Medford, died Tuesday (June 9, 1998) at his home.

He was born Aug. 15, 1945 in Gulfport, Miss.
On Dec. 7, 1997, in Yreka, Calif., he married Bonnie Torres, who survives.
Mr. Carter moved to the Rogue Valley 27 years ago.
He was a self-employed songwriter and musician.
Mr. Carter was a member of the Applegate Christian Fellowship. He enjoyed writing and singing gospel music, writing stories and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Mike, Forman, N.D.; a daughter, Gina Carter, Los Angeles, Calif.; a stepson, Matthew Torres, Medford; a stepdaughter, Jessica Oliveria, Medford; his father, Phil, Phoenix; a brother, Gary, Medford; three sisters, Chris Carter, North Augusta, S.C., Phyllis Henson, Newport Beach, Calif., and Carol Carter, Lawndale, Calif; and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Erma Fitzsimmons.

Owen R. Berkheimer Jr.
The memorial service for Owen Richard Berkheimer Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 28, at McGregor Park, Highway 62 at milepost 29 near Trail. Mike Everson will officiate.
Mr. Berkheimer, 34, of Sams Valley, died Monday (June 8, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 21, 1963, in Medford.
Mr. Berkheimer was a 1981 graduate of Crater High School.
For the past three years, he was a tire technician and installer at Ed's Associated Tire in Medford.
Survivors include two daughters, Kara Berkheimer, Central Point, and Amanda Berkheimer, Sams Valley; his mother, Roberta Berkheimer, White City; his stepmother, Audrey Berkheimer, Sams Valley; a sister, Colleen Jamison, Trail; a brother, Bill, Trail, and his companion, Candace Hengel, Sams Valley.

Roger Keith Wiley
Roger Keith Wiley, 51, of Medford, died Tuesday (June 9, 1998) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born Oct. 23, 1946, in Peoria, Ill., and moved to the Rogue Valley 50 years ago.
Mr. Wiley worked for NIC Industries in White City for eight years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding ATVs, and watching movies.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Wiley, Springfield, and Laura Wiley, Leaburg; and two brothers, Ralph, Medford, and Randy, Portland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Bettie Wiley.
