Sue Lusk Ashley
The graveside service for Sue Lusk Ashley will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland. Pastor Dan Easlon of the Calvary Baptist Church will officiate.
Mrs. Ashley, 95, of Ashland, died Thursday (July 9, 1998) at the Linda Vista Care Center.
She was born Sue Lusk on Aug. 12, 1902, in Oxford, Miss.
On Dec. 22, 1921, in Oxford, she married Jefferson Franklin Ashley, who died May 7, 1980.
Mrs. Ashley moved to Ashland in 1952.
She worked for Dumas Dry Cleaning.
Mrs. Ashley was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sara Anderberg, Medford; a son, Billy, New Leipzig, N.D.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Stewart S. Halsey
The memorial service for Stewart S. Halsey will be held Saturday, July 25.
Mr. Halsey, 88, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday (July 8, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born April 23, 1910, in Jersey City, N.J.
Mr. Halsey was married to Helen Scherer, his high school sweetheart, for 56 years. She died in 1991.
He was a laundry manager at White Plains, N.Y., Hospital until retiring.
Mr. Halsey served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He moved to Grants Pass seven years ago from Mamaroneck, N.Y.
At age 81, Mr. Halsey learned to fly ultra-light planes.
He was a member of the Lions and Sportsman clubs in Merlin and enjoyed skeet shooting, traveling, and boating.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Hoeber, Gold Hill; and two grandchildren.

Rebecca Holberton
The inurnment service for Rebecca Lynn Holberton will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Siskiyou Memorial Park. The Rev. John Braund of First Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Mrs. Holberton, 44, formerly of Medford, died Sunday (July 5, 1998) in Denver, Colo. She moved to Denver three years ago.
She was born Rebecca Lynn Barnes on Dec. 7, 1953, in Medford, and lived in the area for 35 years.
She was a 1972 graduate of Medford High School and a 1976 graduate of Oregon State University.
She worked for Pacific Northwest Bell, then U.S. West Communications, for 28 years.
Survivors include her mother, Merna Barnes, Medford; and a sister, Debbie LaCombe, Medford. Her father, Elmer L. Barnes, preceded her in death.

Coy Estes Taylor
The graveside service for Coy Estes Taylor will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor, 79, of Eagle Point, died Wednesday (July 8, 1998) in Eagle Point.
He was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Kings Mountain, Ky.
In 1940 in Seattle, he married Doris Rosalie Lockwood, who died March 10, 1997. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1971 from California.
Mr. Taylor was the owner-broker for Coy Taylor Realty from 1973 until retiring in 1990.
He was president of the USS Lexington Club and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Eagle Point and California. He was a member of the Eagle Point Grange.
Survivors include a son, Stephen, Norwalk, Calif.; a sister, Mary Lou Duff in Kentucky; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Lillah N. Christensen
Lillah N. Christensen, 96, of Medford, died Wednesday (July 8, 1998) in Medford. No service is planned.

She was born Lillah N. Studley on July 6, 1906, in Grand Rapids, Mich.
On Oct. 3, 1936, in Pasadena, Calif., she married Ray Christensen, who preceded her in death.
They moved to the Rogue Valley Manor in 1972 from Valley Center, Calif.
Mrs. Christensen graduated from Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio.
She taught first grade for 16 years in Escondido, Calif.
Mrs. Christensen was a member of the Congregational Church of Medford and enjoyed watercolor painting and singing.
Survivors include a cousin, Bill Downs, Rancho Verde, Calif. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Charles Howard Barth
Charles Howard Barth, 63, of Eagle Point, died Monday (July 6, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Private interment was in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
He was born June 30, 1935, in Deadwood, S.D.
In 1969 he moved to the Rogue Valley from Oakland, Calif.
Mr. Barth was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include three cousins, Don Adams, Medford, Dottie Boardman, Rapid City, S.D., and Evelyn Patrick, Estill Springs, Tenn. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby.

Ronald N. Buckmister
The memorial service for Ronald Nelson Buckmister will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Medford. The Rev. Mark Cach will officiate. Interment will follow in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 25, 1930, in Manchester, Conn., where he grew up.
In July 1959, in Mexico, Maine, he married Lorraine Chabot, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1969 from Bolton, Conn.
Mr. Buckmister was a telephone company technician for 34 years, working in Medford 25 years.
He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, fishing and hunting.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Robert N., Medford, and Russell E., Talent; a daughter, Lori A. York, Central Point; a sister, Florence Johnson, in Michigan; and four grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Leilani Jean Hartley
The graveside service for Leilani Jean Hartley will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Hartley, 52, formerly of Medford, died Tuesday (July 7, 1998) in Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was born Leilani Buchanan on April 13, 1946, in Lewiston, Idaho.
On June 9, 1962, she married Robert D. Hartley, who survives.
In Medford, Mrs. Hartley was a sales clerk for JC Penney, Emporium and Meier and Frank.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Michael, Shady Cove, and Robert W., Colorado Springs; two brothers, Wayne Buchanan, Ashland, and Stephen Buchanan, Medford; and two grandchildren.
