Colleen Kelly Moore

The memorial service for Colleen Kelly Moore will be at 11 a.m. Sunday in the Cotton Memorial area of Lithia Park in Ashland. The Rev. Colleen Graham will officiate.

Ms. Moore, 31, of Ashland, died Sunday (July 19, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Red Cross, 60 Hawthorne, Medford, OR 97504, and the family encourages people to become involved in the Oregon Donor Program.

Ms. Moore was born Oct. 29, 1966, in Parma, Ohio.

She was raised in Castro Valley, Calif., and graduated from high school in South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Ms. Moore moved to Ashland in 1995, where she was a dental assistant for Dr. Michael Kempf.

She enjoyed animals, reading, hiking and other outdoor activities.

Survivors include her father, Patrick Moore, Talent; her mother, Trisha Vigil, Redding, Calif.; her stepmother, Charlotte Carlsen, Talent; her stepfather, Jim Vigil, Castro Valley; a sister, Amanda Moore, Talent; a brother, Joshua Vigil, Sacramento, Calif.; her grandmother, Pat Golem, Cleveland, Ohio; and stepgrandparents, Lou Balatti, Concord, Calif., and Ray and Mary-Lou Carlsen, San Jose, Calif.

Arrangements: Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.

Nancy G. Anderson

Nancy Gertrude Anderson, 62, of Central Point, died Thursday (July 23, 1998) at her home. A private service is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.

She was born Nancy Riley on May 2, 1936, in Evansville, Ind. She grew up in Evansville, Boston and Whitefish Bay, Wis.

Mrs. Anderson graduated from high school in Whitefish Bay in 1954 and attended MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill.

In December 1955, she married William Wyatt. They were divorced in 1963.

In 1964, she married James Anderson, who survives. After living in Northridge and San Jose, Calif., for several years, the family moved to Central Point in 1967.

Mrs. Anderson was actively involved in her children's education and in community affairs.

She enjoyed collecting antiques, sewing, quilting and cooking.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include five sons, Patrick Wyatt and Daniel Wyatt, both Medford, James Anderson, Portland, Michael Wyatt, Middletown, Conn., and Timothy Wyatt, Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Geri Anderson, Central Point, and Debby Miller, Sherwood; a sister, Mary Sentman, Virginia Beach, Va.; and seven grandchildren.

Arrangements: Central Valley Cremation & Funeral Care, Central Point.

Leo F. Jacobs

Friends and relatives of Leo F. Jacobs will share their memories of him at a gathering from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the family home.

Mr. Jacobs, 77, of Medford, died Tuesday (July 21, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

He was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Talent, a son of Edward and Myrtle Patterson Jacobs. He was a lifetime resident of the Rogue Valley.

On June 21, 1941, in Reno, he married Gladys Brisbine, who survives.

A master carpenter and building contractor, Mr. Jacobs built many homes throughout Southern Oregon.

Mr. Jacobs was a life member of the Ashland Elks Lodge. He was known for his keen wit and sense of humor, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed traveling and visited countries including Germany, South Korea and Japan.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Bob, Medford, and Mike, Foster City, Calif.; two sisters, Pauline Allen, Medford, and Leota Conner, Harbor; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Services-Siskiyou, Medford.

Doris Vern Harris

The memorial service for Doris Vern Harris will be held Saturday in the Community Church in Cedarville, Calif. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.

Mrs. Harris, 80, of Medford, died Wednesday (July 22, 1998) at the Surprise Valley Community Hospital in Cedarville.

She was born Doris Parman on May 18, 1918, in Lake City, Calif. She attended school in Surprise Valley and Reno.

On March 7, 1972, in Reno, she married Ethelbert Harris, who survives.

Mrs. Harris had lived in the Rogue Valley off and on since 1992.

She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting and embroidery.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Marilyn Dolan Davi, Medford; a son, Henry Schadler, Fort Bidwell, Calif.; a stepson, Harold Harris, Cedarville; a stepdaughter, Betty Cockrell, Eagleville, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Georgia Benner, died in 1995.

Arrangements: Kerr Mortuary, Alturas, Calif.

Robert John Pfaff

The funeral for Robert John Pfaff will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Memory Gardens Chapel, Medford. Pastor Edward Graham of Butte Creek Bible Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

Mr. Pfaff, 78, of Central Point, died Tuesday (July 21, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central Point Central Parks Memorial Fund, Western Bank, P.O. Box 3490, 475 E. Pine St., Central Point, OR 97502.

He was born March 4, 1920, near Herrick, S.D., and graduated from Herrick High School.

On Jan. 9, 1942, in Medford, he married Libby Konopasek, who survives. They lived in the Central Point house built in 1959 by Mr. Pfaff and his family.

An avid card player, Mr. Pfaff also enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom picking.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Don and Doug, both Central Point, and Dennis, in Hawaii; two daughters, Jan Pfaff, Milwaukie, and Cheryl Zubieta, Reno, Nev.; three sisters, Mildred Bartley, Central Point, Alma Dame, Tracyton, Wash., and Wilma Henrecy, Gregory, S.D.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters and two granddaughters.

Friends may pay their respects one hour before the service in Memory Gardens Chapel.

Kathryn J. Skevington

The funeral for Kathryn J. Skevington will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Hull & Hull Chapel, Grants Pass. Pastor Richard Kelso will officiate. Private interment will be in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mrs. Skevington, 67, of Rogue River, died Monday (July 20, 1998) at Three Rivers Community Hospital, Grants Pass.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rogue Valley Community Church, P.O. Box 640, Rogue River, OR 97537.

She was born Kathryn Thompson on May 14, 1931, in San Bernardino, Calif.

On April 17, 1951, in Quartzsite, Ariz., she married Charles D. "Dick" Skevington, who survives. They moved to Rogue River in 1980 from Mount Rainier, Wash.

Mrs. Skevington attended Rogue Valley Community Church and enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, sewing and reading the Bible every day.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Sandra Hutchens, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Julie Clark, Elbe, Wash.; a son, Richard, Tacoma, Wash.; a sister, Lucy Evensizer, Wimer; and eight grandchildren.

Arrangements: Hull & Hull Funeral Directors, Grants Pass.

Harry Neville Decarlisle

The memorial service for Harry Neville Decarlisle will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Highway 62 and Lynn Road, Eagle Point. Glen Harper of the LDS Church, White City Ward, will officiate.

Mr. Decarlisle, 73, of Eagle Point, died Tuesday (July 21, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Ely, Nev.

On Sept. 9, 1946, in Oakland, Calif., he married Erleen Banker, who survives.

Mr. Decarlisle was a journeyman machinist for 25 years, working for American Can Co. in Oakland and later for United Can Co. in Hayward, Calif. He retired in 1980 and moved to Eagle Point in July of that year.

In Eagle Point, he developed Antelope Creek Ranch, where he raised cattle and hay.

Mr. Decarlisle was a member of the LDS Church, White City Ward. He was an avid fisherman and was known for his storytelling.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Victoria Sanders, Eagle Point; a son, Randy, Livermore, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Decarlisle.

Glenn A. Rogers

Glenn A. Rogers, 89, of Ashland, died Sunday (July 19, 1998) at the Linda Vista Care Center. A private service is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 1199, Brookings, OR 97415 or Bridge Ministry, 520 Sixth St. S., Kirkland, WA 98033.

He was born July 31, 1908, in Portland.

On April 23, 1942, in Salem, he married Cleo Saueressig, who survives. The couple moved to the Rogue Valley in January 1997 from Brookings, where they had lived since 1952.

Mr. Rogers was an accountant for IBM and other companies.

In Brookings, he was port commissioner and started the Bowling Lanes bowling alley.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Brookings Elks Lodge and enjoyed golfing, sports and fishing.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Verna Bergstrom, Ashland.
