Frank L. Wolski
The funeral for Frank Leonard Wolski will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Shady Cove. Interment will be in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Wolski, 59, of Trail, died Sunday (July 26, 1998) at his home.
He was born April 5, 1939, in Valley City, N.D.
Mr. Wolski moved to the Rogue Valley in 1975 from California.
On Feb. 14, 1993, in Reno, he married Nora Hambleton, who survives.
Mr. Wolski was a police officer in California.
Most recently, he was a clerk at the Medford Wal-Mart.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Mr. Wolski enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Michael, Shasta, Calif., Jeffery, Cottonwood, Calif., and Tim, Chico, Calif.; two daughters, Julie Wolski, Odessa, Texas, and Roberta Wolski, Manteca, Calif.; his mother, Henrietta Hansen, Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Dale, Medford; three sisters, Faye Gilmore and Jill Herd, both in Colorado, and Patricia Nehilla, Mojave, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard; and a brother, Gary.

Donna Lee Lyon
Donna Lee Lyon, 60, of Talent, died Tuesday (July 28, 1998) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Donna Henson on July 30, 1937, in Roseburg. She had lived in Southern Oregon for 51 years.
Mrs. Lyons was a homemaker.
She enjoyed her cats, reading, and watching TV.
Survivors include a son, David, Talent; a daughter, Betty Bellas, Talent; a brother, Bill Henson, Talent; and four grandchildren.

Sue Monteith
The memorial service for Sue Monteith will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Foothills Baptist Church, Medford. Pastor Bob Craig will officiate. Private inurnment will be in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Monteith, 71, of Medford, died Monday (July 27, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born M. Sue Lawrence on Oct. 16, 1926, in Mansfield, Ga.
On Dec. 10, 1947, in Medford, she married J. Donald Monteith, who survives.
Mrs. Monteith completed nursing school at Crawford Long Hospital, Atlanta Ga., in 1947.
The Monteiths lived in Klamath Falls from 1957 to 1970, when they moved to Medford.
Mrs. Monteith was a registered nurse at Providence Hospital from 1970 until her retirement in 1987.
She owned and operated Susie's Antiques in Medford for 15 years.
She was a member of Foothills Baptist Church and PEO Sisterhood Chapter EQ.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, James D., Portland; two daughters, Deborah Spicer, Redmond, and Cynthia Collins, Vanburn, Ark.; a brother; two sisters; and three grandchildren. Three brothers preceded her in death.

Thelma Irene Madsen
The funeral for Thelma Irene Madsen will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Phoenix First Presbyterian Church. Pastor John Braund will officiate. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Madsen, 77, of Gold Hill, died Tuesday (July 28, 1998) at her home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born Thelma Marsh on Oct. 30, 1920, in Knoxville, Iowa.
On Sept. 22, 1943, in Watertown, S.D., she married Arthur Madsen, who died in 1994. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1955 from South Dakota.
Mrs. Madsen graduated from the Barton Hospital School of Nursing in Watertown.
After retiring from nursing at Rogue Valley Medical Center, she moved to Florence and later returned to the Rogue Valley.
Mrs. Madsen was a member of the the Oregon Nurses Association, the First United Methodist Church, and Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Knokey, Gold Hill, and Diane Krinock, Marcola; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may pay their respects from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday in the Phoenix First Presbyterian Church.

Otis Martin Jr.
The funeral for Otis Martin Jr. will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wier's Mortuary Chapel, Crescent City, Calif.
Mr. Martin, 70, of Central Point, died Saturday (July 25, 1998) in Cottonwood, Calif.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born April 7, 1928, in Toccoa, Ga.
He moved moved to Central Point 13 years ago from Del Norte County, Calif.
Mr. Martin was a truck driver for 40 years in the timber industry.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two sons, Larry, Cottonwood, and Dennis, Redding, Calif.; daughter, Sondra Mims, Crescent City; brother, Clayton, Eagle Point; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Wier's Mortuary Chapel.
George James Boozer
The memorial service for George James Boozer will be at 11 a.m. today in the Family Life Church, Ashland. The Rev. H. Bryant will officiate.
Mr. Boozer, 73, of Ashland, died Monday (July 27, 1998) at his home.

He was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Clanton, Ala.
On July 12, 1947, in Alabama, he married Minnie Lee Cook, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley 46 years ago from Alabama.
Mr. Boozer was a choker setter for several logging companies.
He was a member of Family Life Bible Church and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Jim; three daughters, Sybil Cody, Sue Cullop and Dale Kenyon; four brothers, Emmett, Ashland, and Jake, Carl and Earl, all in Alabama; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Vera M. Steele
The funeral for Vera M. Steele was held July 13 at Best Funeral Services & Chapel, Peoria, Ariz. Pastor Paul Goins of Grace Bible Church, Sun City, Ariz., officiated. Interment was in the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.
Mrs. Steele, 78, formerly of Medford, died July 7, 1998, in Sun City, where she was living.
She was born Vera Candee on Dec. 2, 1919, in Richland County, Mont.
On Dec. 25, 1948, in Sidney, Mont., she married Harold Steele, who survives. They moved to Medford in 1956.
Mrs. Steele received a master's degree in education from Southern Oregon State College.
She taught in Central Point School District 6 for about 20 years until her retirement. In her classes she also taught Bible history.
Mrs. Steele was a longtime member of the Medford First Baptist Church and was active in the Good News Club and Women's Bible Study.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, James, Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Caroline Cameron, Chapel Hill, N.C., and Connie Steele-Russell, Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Elsworth Candee, Sidney, and Lester Candee, San Francisco; four sisters, Nina Price, Hunters, Wash., Esther Thorson and Naomi Goodwin, both Sun City, and Dorothy Candee, Glendale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
William `Bill' Hamberlin
The memorial service for William "Bill" Hamberlin will be held Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church of Concord, Calif. Private interment will be in the Golden Gate National Cemetery.
Mr. Hamberlin, 55, of Medford, died July 17, 1998, of cancer, at his home.
He was born Feb. 24, 1943, in Oakland, Calif.
He was a 1960 graduate of El Cerrito, Calif., High School where he played on the football team.
Mr. Hamberlin served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. After completing his tour of duty he joined the Richmond, Calif., Police Department in 1965.
He rose through the ranks and was promoted to police captain in 1982. In 1986, Mr. Hamberlin retired after suffering a debilitating heart attack the year before.
After retiring, he traveled from California to Medford almost every year for the annual Elks three-cushion billiards tournament, frequently taking home the cup. Later he helped organize the event.
Mr. Hamberlin moved to Medford seven years ago from California.
While a police officer he played basketball and softball on the department teams.
He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge. He also enjoyed golfing with son, Greg.
Survivors include his companion, B.J. Kelley, Medford; two sons, Greg, Concord, and Chris, Rodeo, Calif.; a daughter, Terri L. Howat, Pleasant Hill, Calif.; a twin sister, Sally Belshe, Moraga, Calif.; a brother, Jim Hamberlin, Phoenix, Ariz.; and a granddaughter.
