Michael A. Hoffmann
Mass will be celebrated for Michael A. Hoffmann at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Medford. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Seattle, Wash.
Mr. Hoffmann, 74, of Talent, died Wednesday (July 29, 1998) at his home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.
He was born Nov. 23, 1923, in Seattle.
Mr. Hoffmann graduated from Seattle University and Harvard Business School.
Mr. Hoffmann worked primarily in the forest products industry. He completed his career as executive vice president of Tufts University, Medford, Mass.
After his retirement, he served seven years in the Service Corps of Retired Executives for Jackson County and volunteered eight years at St. Rita's Retreat Center in Gold Hill.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and an affiliate of the Order of St. Augustine.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Virginia Cooper Hoffmann; three sons, Michael A. IV, Wenham, Mass., Cooper F., North Attleboro, Mass., and Martin N., Danbury, Conn.; a daughter, Monica H. Awde, Wakefield, R.I.; and a sister, Ruth H. Neupert, Kingston, Wash. A daughter, Andrea M. Johnson, preceded him in death.

Freda Pearl Williams
The memorial service for Freda Pearl Williams will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Hillcrest Chapel, Medford. Minister Jim Larsen will officiate.
Mrs. Williams, 74, of White City, died Wednesday (July 29, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Freda Van Ortwick on Feb. 4, 1924, in Boise, Idaho.
On June 30, 1962, in Reno, she married Jess Williams, who survives.
Mrs. Williams worked for Bear Creek Corp. for more than 20 years.
She was a member of the Eagle Point Senior Center and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and baking.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include four sons, Pat, George, James and Ben, all Medford; two daughters, Opal Moran, Toledo, and Ruby Williams, Kent, Wash.; three sisters, Bertha Clayton, Eagle Point, Agnes Stockford, White City, and Velma Bennett, in Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Michael, Christopher and Gary Williams; two daughters, Pearl Meyer and Jewel Wyatt; two brothers, Clyde and Roy Van Ortwick; and a granddaughter.

Bernice I. Lynch
The memorial service for Bernice Iris Lynch will be in Newcastle, Calif. No date has been set.
Mrs. Lynch, 81, of Rogue River, died Friday (July 31, 1998) at home.
She was born Bernice Galvin on July 14, 1917, in Chicago. In 1935, in Chicago, she married Francis Lynch, who preceded her in death. The family moved to the Rogue Valley in 1990 from Sacramento, Calif.
Mrs. Lynch was a real estate agent and helped run a small business. She also collected Avon memorabilia.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Skulley and Beverly Kimmel of Rogue River; a son, Frank, of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Florence Duym of Illinois; 12 granchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Wilbur E. White
Wilbur Emmett White, 92, of Shady Cove, died Thursday (July 30, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center. Private inurnment will be at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mr. White was born March 31, 1906 in Bozeman, Mont. On June 24, 1939, in Oakland, Calif., he married Angelan Deaver, who survives.
The family lived in the Rogue Valley since 1960, moving from Grants Pass, where they lived between 1950 and 1960.
Mr. White was an auto mechanic, retiring in 1970. He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Diane Swenson of Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Lucille Lutz of Chehalis, Wash.; and three nieces.

Ellnora Moore
The graveside service for Ellnora Moore will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Moore, 82, of Phoenix, died July 26, 1998, at home.

Mrs. Moore was born Ellnora Sherrard on March 28, 1916 in San Francisco.
On Feb. 2, 1936, in San Francisco, she married Thurl Moore, who preceded her in death. The family lived in the Rogue Valley since 1953, moving here from Chowchilla, Calif.
She was a member of the Phoenix Presbyterian Church, and an avid reader. Her hobbies centered around making and collecting dolls.
Survivors include three sons, James W. of Pueblo, Colo., Michael P. of Medford, and Timothy J. of Phoenix; two daughters, Patricia A. Lucier of White City and Colleen R. Farmer of Medford; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Jeremy W. Hasha
The memorial service for Jeremy Wynn Hasha will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Medford Friends Church at the corner of DeBarr Street and Merriman Road in Medford. Pastor Mark Burton will officiate.
Jeremy, 14, of Medford, died July 23, 1998 in a one-car accident on Interstate 5 near Canyonville.

He was born Aug. 11, 1983 in Ashland and lived in the Rogue Valley his whole life. He attended Jefferson Elementary School, Hedrick Middle School and North Medford High School, all in Medford.
He was an enthusiastic football and baseball player, and recently played on the Medford All-Star team of 14-year-old boys. He enjoyed watching pro wrestling, and bowled for several years in youth leagues.
Jeremy was a Life Scout in Boy Scout Troop No. 10 at the Friends Church in Medford.
Survivors include his parents, Jordell and Debbie Hasha of Medford; grandparents Norman and Shirley Vance of Medford; and two sisters, Buffy Briggs of San Diego, Calif., and Brooke Hasha of Talent.

Ray E. Barnes
The graveside service for Ray E. Barnes will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
Mr. Barnes, 83, died Friday(July 31) in Klamath Falls. Pastor Hess of Immanuel Baptist Church of Klamath Falls will officiate.
He was born Feb. 13, 1915, in Granite City, Ill.
On June 9, 1941, in Butler, Mo., he married Mary Humble.
The Barneses lived in Medford before moving to Klamath Falls in February.
Mr. Barnes served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a truck driver for a moving and storage company for many years and also repaired small appliances.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of Klamath Falls; three daughters, Bonnie Morehead, Philomath, Mary Graham, Klamath Falls, and Debbie Frank, Medford; two sons, Raymond L., Medford, and David W., Sandy; three brothers, Jerry, Ashland, Cloyce, Klamath Falls, and Earl, Central Point; three sisters, Elma Sylvia, Fresno, Reola Burrough, Fresno and Delores Bourbanaisse, Chula Vista, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Chapel in Medford.
Sherri Sue Andrews
Sherri Sue Andrews, 24, formerly of Ashland, died July 17, 1998, in an automobile accident near Dairy, Ore. Her home was in Bonanza.
A private service was held.
She was born Sherri Sue Teem on Feb. 22, 1974, in Grants Pass, and was raised in Ashland and Southern California.
Mrs. Andrews recently moved to Bonanza from Shasta, Calif.
She enjoyed poetry, music and outdoor activities.
Survivors include her husband, Gregory Andrews, Bonanza; a son, Jesse James Andrews, Bonanza; her mother, Theresa Lillibridge, Ashland; her father, Donald Alvin Teem, Silver Lake; a brother, Donnie Joe Teem, Ashland; a sister, Tracy Rosellyn Teem, Ashland; and grandmother, Georgia Maynard, Ashland.

Lucile Daniels
Lucile Daniels, 82, of Ashland, died Wednesday (July 29, 1998) at Ashland View Manor. A private service is planned.
She was born Lucile Avent on Dec. 13, 1915, in Avent, Miss.
She moved to Oregon in 1937.
In 1947, in Medford, she married Ray Daniels. They were later divorced.
She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, reading and baseball.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Blakeley, Medford; a son, Douglas, in Washington; and four grandchildren.
