Earl F. Jones
The graveside service for Earl F. Jones will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
Mr. Jones, 96, of Central Point, died Thursday (Aug. 6, 1998) at his home.
He was born June 23, 1902, in Elizabeth, Colo.
On May 24, 1922, in Steamboat Springs, Colo., he married Florence Anna Raney, who died in 1989.
They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1946 from Klamath Falls.
Mr. Jones was an electrician for many years.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.
Survivors include two daughters, N. Marie Clark, Brookings, and Beverly Kohn, Dallas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Virginia Clay Welch
The memorial service for Virginia Clay Welch will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Trail Christian Fellowship. Pastor Chris White will officiate. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Welch, 90, of Central Point, died Wednesday (Aug. 5, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center, Medford.
She was born Virginia Adams on Dec. 2, 1907, in Spottsville, Ky.
Mrs. Welch moved to the Rogue Valley in 1944 from Washington.
In the 1950s, she owned and operated Virginia's Big Y Beauty Salon, then the largest salon in Medford. She owned and operated Welch's Antiques in the 1960s.
Mrs. Welch was a member of the Community Bible Church in Central Point and enjoyed oil painting, gardening and cooking.
Survivors include a son, James A. Jr., Central Point; two brothers, Frank Adams, in Colorado, and Robert Adams, in Arizona; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Welch; a brother; and three sisters.
Friends may pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Conter-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.
Arrangements: Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel.
Clara Dell Rasor
The memorial service for Clara Dell Rasor will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Memory Gardens Chapel in Medford. The Rev. Earl Best will officiate. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Rasor, 87, of Medford, died Friday (Aug. 7, 1998) at Medford Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was born Clara Hurd on Oct. 17, 1910, in Ashland to Charles and Elsie Ida Hurd.
On June 15, 1929, in Grants Pass, she married George Wade Rasor, who died in 1972.
A lifelong resident of the Rogue Valley, she was a production worker for Harry and David for more than 15 years.
She was a member of the Oregon Pioneers, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, sewing and cooking.
Survivors include a son, Donald Wade Rosor of Eagle Point; four daughters, Barbara Havniear, Charlene Rasor Davidson and Karen Humphrey, all of Medford, and Kathryn Flannery-Tegner of Central Point; a sister, Ida Mae Blunt of Medford; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers.

Omega M. Chamberlain
The graveside service for Omega Marie Chamberlain will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Brownsboro Cemetery. The Rev. Ed Graham of Butte Creek Baptist Church will officiate.
Mrs. Chamberlain, 53, of Eagle Point, died Tuesday (Aug. 4, 1998) at her home.

She was born Sept. 3, 1944, in Medford, a daughter of Fred and Pearl Spaur.
On April 14, 1967, in Medford, she married Denny Chamberlain, who survives.
Mrs. Chamberlain was a clerk at Lawrence's Jewelers in Medford.
She enjoyed making greeting cards, working in her yard and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, William C., Tacoma, Wash.; three brothers, Don Spaur, Medford, Jack Spaur, Central Point, and Bruce Spaur, Sardis, Miss.; and two sisters, Opal Walden and Francis Peterson, both Tacoma. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy; and two brothers, Bud and Eugene Spaur.

Donald F. Miller
Donald F. Miller, 58, of Central Point, died Wednesday (Aug. 5, 1998) at his home. A private service was held.
He was born Sept. 18, 1939, in San Francisco, Calif.
On Oct. 18, 1968, in Carlotta, Calif., he married Tanya Emerson, who survives.
They moved to White City 25 years ago, then to Central Point 10 years ago.
Mr. Miller worked for the Willamette Egg Ranch until his retirement in 1988.
He was a glass bead maker and enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Staff Sgt. Joseph Miller, U.S. Marine Corps, San Diego, Calif., and 2nd Lt. Burr Miller, Fort Drum, N.Y.; a daughter, Sgt. Misty Weiser, U.S. Marine Corps, Cherry Point, N.C.; four brothers, Frank, Medford, Mike, Williams, Ray, Delco, Idaho, and Bob Reed, Vancouver, Wash.; three sisters, Elaine Prince, Central Point, June DiMaggio, Martinez, Calif., and Deanna Spence, Security, Colo.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy.

Norma L. Abrams
Norma L. Abrams, 85, of Medford, died Friday (Aug. 7 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned.
She was born Norma Kilmer on March 1, 1913, in Port Angeles, Wash., where she grew up and graduated high school.
On July 24, 1967, in Seattle, she married Sid E. Abrams, who survives.
Mrs. Abrams lived in Australia from 1968 to 1973. She lived in several cities before settling in Medford in 1988.
She enjoyed playing bridge at the Medford Senior Center, gardening, dancing and reading.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Cary Conrad, Port Angeles; and a daughter, Carla Skinner, Lewiston, Idaho.

Harry Chipman
The memorial service for former Jackson County Clerk Harry Chipman will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church of Medford. The Revs. Tim Tiffany and Jim Long will officiate.
Mr. Chipman, 82, of Medford, died Wednesday (Aug. 5, 1998) at his home.

He was born Aug. 22, 1915, in Spokane, Wash.
Mr. Chipman grew up in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School in 1933.
On April 18, 1943, in Sacramento, Calif., he married Carma Cathryn Latson, who survives.
He spent 26 years at the Mail Tribune, starting as a sports writer and later becoming wire editor.
Mr. Chipman was appointed Jackson County Clerk in 1970, serving two and one-half terms before resigning because of his health.
His primary interest was sports and he was active in sports promotions.
Mr. Chipman was chairman of the Jackson County March of Dimes for 25 years, served on the State Board Handicap Commission, the KSYS board and the Enid Rankin board of directors. He also was a member of the Jacksonville Kiwanis Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Wayne, Central Point; two daughters, Sharon Myers, Central Point, and Lyn Rush, Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Leona Wharton, Klamath Falls, and Lucille Chadwick, Mesa; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
