Johnny H. Price
Johnny Haskell Price, 90, of Talent, died Monday (Aug. 24, 1998) at his home. Private graveside services were held in Stearns Wagner Creek Cemetery in Talent.
He was born Sept. 15, 1907, in Oklahoma.
In 1986, in Yavapai County, Ariz., he married Clare Tabor, who survives.
Mr. Price moved to the Rogue Valley from Spiro, Okla., in December 1997.
He was employed in the Civil Service until his retirement.
Mr. Price was a member of the Baptist Church in Oklahoma.
He enjoyed gardening and traveling, and was a member of the Good Sam Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Lisa Washenfelder, Casper, Wyo., Betty Zowaski and Barbara Williams, both of Glendale, Ariz.; three sons, Johnny, Hartshorne, Okla., and Haskell and Clark, both of Glendale; two stepdaughters, Velda Schumacher, Talent, and Val Macicci, Lancater, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

William G. Ryan
William George Ryan, 82, of Jacksonville, died Sunday (Aug. 23, 1998) at his home. No services are planned. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 25, 1915, in Watford City, N.D.
On July 14, 1951, in Yreka, Calif., he married Nellie E. Pollock, who preceded him in death.
His family moved to the Rogue Valley in 1929 from Medford, Wis.
He assisted his father in several dry-cleaning businesses in Medford, including his father's shop, Ryan Dry Cleaners and Hat Shop.
Mr. Ryan was an nightclub entertainer at the Medford Hotel, the Yreka Inn, and the Eugene Inn. He played the organ, piano, accordion and trumpet. In later years, he entertained at the Rogue Valley Country Club, retiring in 1978.
Mr. Ryan served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He was a member of the Rogue Valley Musicians Union.
Mr. Ryan enjoyed acrobatics, trout fishing and bicycling.
Survivors include a son, Terry Lee, Jacksonville; a daughter, Artis Jean Ryan, Fort Johns, Calif.; a sister, Mary Lou Rickman, Beaverton; and a grandson.

Virgil L. Snoke
Friends and relatives of Virgil Lowell Snoke will gather at 3 p.m. Sunday in Valley of the Rogue State Park in Rogue River.
Mr. Snoke, 34, of Gold Hill, died Monday (Aug. 24, 1998) at his home.

He was born July 24, 1964, in Medford.
Mr. Snoke was a petroleum transfer operator for Texaco in Medford.
He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, children, and barbecuing.
Survivors include his companion, Parris L. McAllister, Gold Hill; a son, Brian, Gold Hill; six daughters, Kassandra L. Snoke, Kathleen E. Snoke, Shaina N. Galloway, and Christina R. Snoke, all of Medford, Jennifer L. Glazier, and Jessica A. Glazier, both of Gold Hill; his mother, Iris E. Samek, Medford; his father, Russell, North Plains; and three brothers, Wayne and Kenneth, both of Medford, and Donald, Clatskanie. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary C. Tryon, in 1992.

Phyllis R. Barrell-Berg
The memorial service for Phyllis Ruth Barrell-Berg will be at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Marks Episcopal Church in Medford. The Rev. David Close will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
Mrs. Barrell-Berg, 84, of Medford, died Tuesday (Aug. 25, 1998) in Medford.

She was born Phyllis Ruth Isted on Sept. 7, 1913, in Bemidji, Minn. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Bend 46 years ago.
On Aug. 22, 1936, she married Colburn H. "Bunny" Barrell, who preceded her in death.
On Oct. 23, 1970, in Newport Beach, Calif., she married William J. Berg, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Barrell-Berg was a member of Tri Delta at Oregon State University.
She was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church.
She enjoyed playing bridge and golf.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Plummer, Windsor, Calif., Marcia Quinney, Salt Lake City, Utah; a son, Corky Barrell, Sun Valley, Idaho; a brother, Maurice Isted, Escondido, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Claudia J. Delloyd
Claudia Janice Delloyd, 50, of Portland, formerly of Medford, died Monday (Aug. 24, 1998) in Portland. Private family services will be held in Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford.

She was born March 5, 1948, in Portland, and lived most of her life in Medford.
Ms. Delloyd was a registered nurse and top director for Maxim Healthcare Services, and director of patient care services in Portland.
She enjoyed rafting, music and the arts.
Survivors include a son, Andrew, Lake Oswego; a daughter, Larisa Kirkwood, Tampa, Fla.; her parents, Richard and Bonnie J. Glass, Vancouver, Wash.; and a sister, Linda Holtze, Vancouver.

Clarence B. Black
The memorial service for Clarence B. Black will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Medford. The Rev. Emett Shortreed will officiate. Private interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford.
Mr. Black, 83, of Medford, died Tuesday (Aug. 25, 1998) in Medford.

He was born on March 29, 1915, in Lake Benton, Minn.
On July 14, 1939, in Lake Benton, he married Dorothy, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Lake Benton in 1939.
Mr. Black worked for Timber Products for 27 years. He retired from Kogap Lumber after 8 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Medford.
Mr. Black enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and playing the organ.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Mike, Roseburg; a daughter, Connie Baker, Prineville; a sister, Laverne Barnes, Medford; and two grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, at Conger-Morris in Medford.
Grace Ryther
The funeral for Grace Ryther will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Siskiyou Memorial Park Chapel. The Rev. John Braund of the First Presbyterian Church of Medford will officiate.
Mrs. Ryther, 82, of Eagle Point, died Monday (Aug. 24, 1998) at her home.
She was born Grace Durbin on Nov. 21, 1915, in Leitchfield, Ky.
On Oct. 20, 1960, in Reno, Nev., she married Charles Ryther, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Eugene in 1974.
Mrs. Ryther enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include five sons, Doug Thomas, White City, Terry Ryther, Tualatin, Gary Boles, Albany, Ron Ryther, Eagle Point, and Ken Boles, Eugene; a daughter, Donna Jones, Eugene; 24 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Joyce Silva Ellis
The graveside service for Joyce Silva Ellis will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Bronelle Greer, retired, of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, will officiate.
Mrs. Ellis, 69, of White City, died Tuesday (Aug. 25. 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Joyce Silva Engelstad on Dec. 29, 1928, in Los Angeles, Calif.
On April 7, 1956, in Huntington Park, Calif., she married Glenn Ellis, who preceded her in death in 1995. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Lynwood, Calif. in 1963.
Mrs. Ellis was a homemaker for more than 40 years. She enjoyed living on a cattle ranch with her husband in the Sams Valley area.
She was a baptized Lutheran.
Survivors include a son, Tom Ellis, Murrieta, Calif., four daughters, Patti Mecum, Butte Falls, Marilyn Slaten, San Diego, Calif., Susan Althoff, Renton, Wash., and Charlotte Shelman, Roy, Utah; a sister, Irene Englund, White City; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Conger-Morris, Central Point.
