Theodore R. Sanger
Theodore "Ted" Sanger, 69, of Medford, died Friday (Sept. 11, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
He was born Jan. 30, 1929, in Superior, Wis.
Mr. Sanger lived most of his life in the Rogue Valley, moving from Minnesota.
On May 18, 1957, in Medford, he married Elva L. Davis, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Sanger was a mill worker in Medford until 1973.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Mr. Sanger enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include five daughters, Terrie Lizarraga and Kim McPherson, both Medford, Lori Rowton, Portland, Kerrie Bergstrom, Renton, Wash., and Helen Beck, Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Ted, Portland, and B.F., in Texas; four brothers, Richard, Sams Valley, James, Medford, Art Stevens, Roseburg, and Dan Tobin, Laughlin, Nev.; two sisters, Carol Clark, Phoenix, and Joyce Bieg, Medford; and 13 grandchildren.

Evelyn Ann Rogers
The graveside service for Evelyn Ann Rogers will be at 3 p.m. today in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland. Pastor Bob Friend will officiate.
Mrs. Rogers, 69, formerly of Medford, died Sunday (Sept. 13, 1998) at her home in Eugene.

She was born Evelyn Fraley on Oct. 19, 1928, in Anadarko, Okla.
Mrs. Rogers lived in Medford from 1989 until moving to Eugene earlier this year.
She enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Survivors include three sons, Benny Rogers and Don Nielsen, both Medford, and David Rogers, Milpitas, Calif.; three daughters, Crystal Rogers, Medford, Tina Novack, Eugene, and Yvonne Ruler, Ogden, Utah; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Luella Main
The funeral for Luella Main will be held Friday in the Riverview Abbey Funeral Chapel, Portland.
Mrs. Main, 81, of Medford, died Saturday (Sept. 12, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.

She was born Luella Spellman on Dec. 27, 1916, in Joplin, Mo.
On Feb. 9, 1946, in Vancouver, Wash., she married James M. Main, who survives.
Mrs. Main moved to the Rogue Valley 50 years ago from Portland.
She was a member of the Medford First Presbyterian Church and was a Lady Elk. She enjoyed bowling with Elks Lodge members, fishing, traveling and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a brother, Edward Spellman, Portland; two sisters, Hazel Smith, Tillamook, and Neva Utky, Portland; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Dunlop; two brothers; and three sisters.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.
Carol M. Egge
The funeral for Carol M. Egge will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Medford. The Rev. David Close will officiate.
Mrs. Egge, 83, of Medford, died Friday (Sept. 11, 1998) at Farmington Square in Medford.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born Carol Halls on Dec. 18, 1914, in Seattle. As a child she moved with her parents to Webster, S.D.
After graduating from high school she attended the University of Washington, where she met her husband. On April 19, 1941, in Seattle, she married Bob Egge, who survives.
Mrs. Egge sang in many musical productions and performed on an early morning radio show. She was asked to join the Seattle Opera but her growing family led her in other directions.
The family moved several times as Mr. Egge was transferred in his position as a Sears store manager. In 1969, they moved to Medford from Yakima, Wash.
In Yakima, Mrs. Egge was choir director of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church and was active in many youth and adult programs.
Mrs. Egge was known for her sense of humor and infectious laugh. She was a member of many golf clubs, and was a pink lady for many years at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Tom, Medford; a daughter, Pam Hubbard, Yakima; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

William `Billy' Pruitt
The memorial service for William "Billy" Blaine Pruitt will be at 11 a.m. today in the Redwood Christian Church, Grants Pass.
Mr. Pruitt, 65, formerly of Grants Pass, died Thursday (Sept. 10, 1998) while hiking Three Finger Jack Mountain near Sisters.
He was born Dec. 26, 1932, in Grants Pass.
He attended school in Grants Pass and Prospect and graduated from Medford High School.
Mr. Pruitt graduated from Oregon State University in 1955, where he was active in the ROTC program.
He served in the U.S. Army infantry, stationed in Japan, and trained as a paratrooper and mountain ranger.
Later he owned and operated Pruitt's Feed and Seed in Grants Pass for several years.
Mr. Pruitt also was a river guide and a Josephine County Extension agent for several years.
Since 1979, he was ranch manager at Beaver Meadows Ranch on the Boulder River in McLeod, Calif., owned by the Haas family of San Francisco.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae Pruitt, McLeod; two sons, Bill, Grants Pass, and Clifford, McCloud, Calif.; a daughter, Penny Pruitt, Portland; a brother, Bobby, Grants Pass; a sister, Bonny Maphet, Grants Pass; and two grandchildren.

Sara Luise Taylor
Sara Luise Taylor, 84, of Eagle Point, died Friday (Sept. 11, 1998) at her home. A private service is planned.
She was born Sara Luise Parks on June 12, 1914, in Neosho Falls, Kan.
On Feb. 26, 1946, in Fort Des Moines, Iowa, she married Lloyd Stuart Taylor, who died in 1997. They moved to the Rogue Valley 28 years ago from North Hollywood, Calif.
Mrs. Taylor was a high school teacher in Nebraska and an insurance fraud investigator for three years before retiring to Oregon.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Juanita Sue DiMambro, Eagle Point, and Dorothy Mae Davis, Greenfield, Iowa; a son, Craig, Bend; a brother, Charles Parks, Inglewood, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Grace Glover Parsons
Grace Glover Parsons, 84, formerly of Phoenix, died Aug. 21, 1998, in Spokane, Wash., where she was living. A funeral was held Aug. 25 in Spokane.

She was born Grace Glover on Jan. 1, 1914, in Enid, Mont. The family moved to the Rogue Valley from Montana when she was a child.
Mrs. Parsons attended Phoenix High School.
She was a 28-year member of the Pines Baptist Church in Spokane.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Edwin Parsons; two daughters, Geraldine Phillips, Duncanville, Texas, and Beverly Wright, Spokane; two brothers, Edward Glover and Johnny Glover, both Medford; three sisters, Fran Semple and Barbara Hall, both Medford, and Peggy Wolfe, Phoenix; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Margaret `Jani' Thompson
Margaret "Jani" J. Thompson, 66, of Medford, died Friday (Sept. 11, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned.
She was born Margaret Robinson on Nov. 14, 1931, in San Francisco. She attended schools in Red Bluff, Calif.
In October 1963, she married William J. Thompson, who survives. They moved to Oregon in 1957.
Mrs. Thompson attended Chico State College and received a degree in business administration from Pacific College. She then was an assistant office manager for E.H. Phillips Co., Insurance Brokers, in Oakland, Calif.
Mrs. Thompson was was assistant public relations director and director of general extension division at Southern Oregon College from 1956 to 1959.
Later she was an escrow officer and head of bookkeeping for Crater Title Insurance Co. in Medford; assistant secretary and escrow department manager of M.S. Christianson Mortgage and Investment Co.; manager of mortgage loan operations for Sherwood & Roberts which is now Old Stone Mortgage; branch manager of Northwest Mortgage, later acquired by Lomas & Nettleton Co.; area manager of Lomas & Nettleton Co.; executive vice president of Charter First Mortgage, Inc.; and executive vice president and later underwriter for Plaza Mortgage, Inc.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Sharon Thompson, New York City, and Denise Fischer, Sacramento, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
