Richard Melvin Mole
The memorial service for Richard Melvin Mole will be held Oct. 3 in the Canby Pioneer Chapel. Private interment was in the Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland.
Mr. Mole, 78, formerly of Medford, died Sept. 11, 1998, at his home in Canby.

He was born July 11, 1920, in Medford, a son of Richard and Edna Hamlin Mole.
Mr. Mole was manager of Crystal White Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Medford from the 1940s to the 1960s.
He owned Griffin Brothers Inc. in Portland from 1985 to 1995.
In 1967, in Reno, he married Jacalyn Langston. They moved to Canby in 1974.
During World War II, he served as a gunnery instructor in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a member of the Medford Elks Lodge and Willamette Valley Country Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Survivors include a son, Richard, Big Sur, Calif.; a daughter, Christine Mole, Canby; two sisters, Joan Mole, Medford, and Rosalie Van Allen, Danville, Calif.
Arrangements: Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Wilsonville.
Martha Edith Smith
Martha Edith Smith, 95, of Medford, died Thursday (Sept. 17, 1998) at Fountain Plaza. No local service is planned. Private inurnment will be in the family plot in the San Francisco Bay area.
She was born Martha Sanden on Feb. 8, 1903, in San Francisco.
On June 8, 1927, in San Francisco, she married Hosmer E. Smith, who died in 1982.
Mrs. Smith moved to Medford in 1990 from San Francisco.
She enjoyed playing bridge and watching San Francisco 49ers football games.
Survivors include a son, Donald H., Medford; three grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Frank Lawrence Bain
The memorial service for Frank Lawrence Bain will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Siskiyou Chapel, Medford. The Rev. John Braund of the Phoenix First Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Mr. Bain, 54, of Medford, died Tuesday (Sept. 15, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501 or to a favorite charity.
He was born Dec. 29, 1943, in Watsonville, Calif., and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1958 from Mount Shasta, Calif.
Mr. Bain graduated from Crater High School.
On Aug. 12, 1995, he married Deanne, who survives.
Mr. Bain served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet mechanic in Vietnam and North Africa.
He was a loader operator for 25 years, working the past 12 years for Rogue Aggregate Inc.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Molly Webber, Medford; four sons, Martin, Matthew and Benjamin, all Medford, and Michael, Brookings; three stepsons, Roger Kramer, Medford, Chris Kramer, Granite City, Ill., and Travis Gearlds, Metcalf, Ill.; his mother and stepfather, Nadine and Chester Smith, Medford; a sister, Linda Baldwin, Brookings; and six grandchildren. His father, Frank, preceded him in death.

Elbert Wayne Harbour
The graveside service for Elbert Wayne Harbour will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
Mr. Harbour, 75, formerly of Medford, died Thursday (Sept. 9, 1998) at All Saints Convalescent Home in North Hollywood, Calif. His home was in Sun Valley, Calif.
He was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Arkansas.
Mr. Harbour drove a mail truck for the U.S. Postal Service in Los Angeles County until his retirement.
A Los Angeles County resident for most of his life, he also lived in Medford on and off for many years.
Survivors include a son, Elbert W. Jr., Sun Valley, Calif.; his mother, Myrtle J. Harbour, White City; and a sister, Verna Johnston, White City. His wife, Lillie Mae Harbour, preceded him in death.

Michael C. Campbell
The graveside service for Michael Clarence Campbell will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Campbell, 39, of Medford, died Sept. 9, 1998, in Medford.
He was born Sept. 9, 1959, in Medford.
Mr. Campbell received a bachelor's degree in computer science from Southern Oregon University.
He was a training coordinator for Asante Health Systems.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching and playing sports, and bowling.
Survivors include two sons, Jeremiah and Scott, both Eagle Point; his mother, Marilyn Jensen, Medford; his father, Clarence, Port Townsend, Wash.; two brothers, Walter Windblad III, Medford, and Ted Campbell, Nine Mile Falls, Wash.; two sisters, Elizabeth Leyva, Gold Hill, and Angela Biddle, Medford; and grandmother, Elsie Stowell, Medford.

Dale D. Ellison
The graveside service for Dale D. Ellison will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland. Pastor Ray Orndoff of Clay Street Community Church, Ashland, will officiate.
Mr. Ellison, 67, formerly of Medford, died Monday (Sept. 14, 1998) at his home in Redding, Calif.

He was born Nov. 10, 1930, in Callaway, Neb.
Mr. Ellison worked in the construction industry for 40 years. He was a tire serviceman for 15 years with Roy E. Ladd Construction Co. in Redding.
He lived in Medford from 1965 to 1978, when he moved to Shasta County, Calif.
In Redding, Mr. Ellison was a member of the Construction Teamster Union, ABC bowling league and International Association of Y's Men.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Ellison, Redding; two sons, Jeffrey S., Milwaukie, and D. Douglas, Anchorage, Alaska; three daughters, Sherri Marshall and Lila Cunningham, both Medford, and Jacqueline DeSoto, Milwaukie; two stepsons, Larry Ghrist, Medford, and Richard Ghrist, Baker City; a stepdaughter, Linda Chandler, Richland, Wash.; two brothers, Keith, Eugene, and Richard, Boise, Idaho; three sisters, Neola Houser, Eugene, Kay Thorsfeldt, King City, and Nadine Witthuhn, Callaway, Neb.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Kenneth L. Marshall
Kenneth Latta Marshall, 92, of Medford, died Sunday (Sept. 13, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center. A private graveside service was held in Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford. Pastor Richard Kirk of the First Baptist Church officiated.
He was born May 16, 1906, in Parsons, Kan. He grew up and graduated from high school in Colorado Springs, Colo.
On June 16, 1928, in Colorado Springs, he married Ruby Harrison, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley 22 years ago from Alliance, Neb.
Mr. Marshall worked for Burlington Railroad for 27 years, retiring at age 65. He moved to Medford after his retirement.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Jean Schnider, Grove, Okla.; two sisters, Lela Catching, Glendale, Ariz., and Marie Hart, Sun City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Annette Brumley and Shirley Ruffner.

Becki Renfro
The memorial service for Rebecca "Becki" Renfro will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Phoenix Church of Christ. Minister Dave Humphreys will officiate.
Ms. Renfro, 25, of Medford, died Tuesday (Sept. 15, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
She was born March 17, 1973, in Fontana, Calif., and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1979 from Barstow, Calif.
Ms. Renfro graduated from Phoenix High School in 1991.
She worked for Total Management Co.
She enjoyed camping.
Survivors include a son, Jacob, Medford; her mother and stepfather, Katherine and Phil Greenwood, Medford; her father and stepmother, Gary and Patty Renfro, Santa Paula, Calif.; a brother, Tim, Palmdale, Calif.; two sisters, Julie Ferguson, Jacksonville, N.C., and Jennifer Willis, Medford; and grandparents, Edna Johnson, Phoenix, John and Florence Renfro, Barstow, and George and Carol Greenwood, Hinkley, Calif.
