Heike Conde-Jahnel
Heike Conde-Jahnel, 57, of Ashland, died Monday (Oct. 19, 1998) at her home. A memorial service was held.
She was born Heike Glade on Nov. 6, 1940, in Bremen, Germany.
She was raised in Germany and Canada, graduating from high school in Toronto.
Mrs. Conde-Jahnel was a computer programmer and consultant in Hawaii and Florida before moving to Ashland in 1990.
Her interests included health and health consulting, iridology and nutrition.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Lisa and Barry McCallum, Winnipeg, Manitoba; a brother, Peter Glade, Winnipeg; and two sisters, Eike Nehls, Essen, Germany, and Traute Al-Jadir, Kelowna, B.C.

Anna Tryon Close
Anna Pauline Tryon Close, 76, formerly of Medford, died Wednesday (Oct. 21, 1998) of cancer at her daughter's home in Coos Bay. She was living in Coquille. No service is planned.

She was born Anna Tryon on Nov. 17, 1921, in Sedan, N.M.
Mrs. Close lived in Medford for many years. She worked in medical records at a Rogue Valley hospital.
Mrs. Close traveled extensively throughout the United States and to England, the Caribbean and South America.
Survivors include four daughters, Tamara Bochardy, Sams Valley, Janette Huffman and Holly Beam, both Coos Bay, and Gay Mejia, Fort Lewis, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband, Ralph Lorin Close, preceded her in death.

Peder Lejbolle
The graveside service Peder Lejbolle will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Brian Cuff of Church of the Harvest, Eugene, will officiate.
Mr. Lejbolle, 63, of White City, died Monday (Oct. 19, 1998) at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary, White City.

David Allen Brewer
David Allen Brewer, 45, of Medford, died Sunday (Oct. 18, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 28, 1953, in Ukiah, Calif.
On Oct. 13, 1997, in Portland, he married Arla Fisher, who survives.
Mr. Brewer moved to to the Rogue Valley in 1990 from Klamath Falls.
He was a gardener at local golf courses.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Brewer enjoyed playing classical guitar.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Bethany Brewer, Fort Bragg, Calif.; and his parents, William and Palma Brewer, Medford.

Marvin Lee Messer
The memorial service for Marvin Lee Messer will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, 1900 Crater Lake Ave., Medford. Pastor Tim Tiffany will officiate.
Mr. Messer, 58, of Medford, died Wednesday (Oct. 21, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 18, 1940, in Nampa, Idaho.
On July 30, 1961, in Boise, Idaho, he married Sherrie Wardle, who survives.
Mr. Messer was a route distributor in the wholesale food industry. Earlier he worked with Boy Scouts of America for 17 years.
He was a member of the Rogue Snowmobilers Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mara Messer, Medford, and Trasi Fugate, Mount Vernon, Wash.; a son, Korby, Central Point; his mother, Gladys Messer, Nampa, Idaho; a sister, Wanda Raffety, Baker City; and three grandchildren.

Lottie B. Harris
Lottie B. Harris, 76, of Medford, died Tuesday (Oct. 20, 1998) at her home. A funeral will be held next week in Denver, Colo., with interment in Howard Cemetery, Denver.

She was born Lottie Jefferson on Nov. 29, 1921, in Armour, S.D.
She worked in a leather manufacturing plant.
In 1995, she moved to Oregon from California.
She enjoyed needlepoint, bowling, travel and the outdoors.
Survivors include six daughters, Sharon Ruddell, Medford, Carol Lontine and Judy Hankin, both Golden, Colo., Beverly Towne, Redding, Calif., Linda Hoch, Littleton, Colo., and Sandra Frary, Denver; a son, Bill Troxler, Broomfield, Colo.; a brother, Irvin Jefferson, Anaheim, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Nutting and Eddie Wood; and a sister, Inez Nichols.

Lillian Rodriguez
Lillian A. Rodriguez, 63, of Medford, died Monday (Oct. 19, 1998) in Medford. A memorial service will be held later.

She was born Lillian A. Deleito on May 29, 1935, in San Francisco, Calif.
On Nov. 16, 1952, in Redwood City, Calif., she married Edward Rodriguez. They divorced 20 years later.
Mrs. Rodriguez moved to the Rogue Valley seven years ago from Salinas, Calif.
She was a member of the Catholic Church. She was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers football team and also enjoyed bingo and cross-stitch.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathleen Gould, Grants Pass; three sons, John and Kenneth, both Medford, and Jeffery, Grants Pass; a brother; two sisters; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her ex-husband. She was preceded in death by a sister.
