Larry Harold Levens

Larry Harold Levens, 94, of Medford, died Wednesday (Nov. 4, 1998) at Hearthstone. No services are planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR, 97504.

Mr. Levens was born March 15, 1904, in Anoka, Minn. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1990 from Cottage Grove.

In Cottage Grove, he owned and operated the Western Auto store. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed raising horses and hunting.

Survivors include a son, Larry Levens, Medford; a daughter, Melinda Kelley, Junction City; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Joseph L. Sem

The memorial Mass for Joseph L. Sem will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Medford.

Mr. Sem, 84, of Medford, died Thursday (Nov. 5, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born March 14, 1914, in Milwaukee, Wis.

On Oct. 26, 1935, he married Madeline Klein, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1992.

Mr. Sem retired from the Falk Corp. in Milwaukee in 1976.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Joseph C., Medford; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Joel; and two brothers.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Services, Medford.

Hildred B. Inlow

The memorial service for Hildred B. Inlow will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Conger-Morris Chapel, Medford. William Koenig of the New Apostolic Church will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Inlow, 83, of Medford, died Friday (Nov. 6, 1998) at Hearthstone.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Community Health Foundation, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504. She was born Hildred Bergman on Sept. 25, 1915, in Eugene.

On April 3, 1936, in Grants Pass, she married Fred Elvin Inlow, who died in 1996.

Mrs. Inlow moved to the Rogue Valley in 1936 from Irving, Ore.

She was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters and the Enid Rankin Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include a son, Alfred D., Eagle Point; a brother, Leslie "Bud" Bergman, Canby; two sisters, Betty Jackson, Eugene, and Verna Leetch, Pierce, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in Hillcrest Chapel, Medford.

Arrangements: Conger-Morris Funeral Directors.

Kenneth W. Kamberg

The memorial service for Kenneth William Kamberg will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1900 Greenwood St., Medford. Pastor Ed Keyes will officiate. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

Mr. Kamberg, 86, of Medford, died Wednesday (Nov. 4, 1998) at his home.

He was born Sept. 8, 1912, in Middletown, Idaho, and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1926 from Eastern Oregon.

Mr. Kamberg graduated from Talent High School.

On Dec. 25, 1940, in Medford, he married Helen L. Schlinsog, who survives.

Mr. Kamberg worked in the woods most of his life as a timber faller and a choker setter. He worked for Wheeler Logging Co. and Burrill Lumber Co.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two brothers, Chester Roland, Central Point, and Paul, Prescott, Ariz. He was preceded in death by a brother, Buxton.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Jeremy D. Scott

The graveside service for Jeremy D. Scott will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Jerry Gilmer of the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary, White City, will officiate.

Mr. Scott, 69, of White City, died Wednesday (Nov. 4, 1998) at the V.A. Domiciliary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Civil Air Patrol, Group 3 Headquarters, P.O. Box 664, Medford, OR 97501.

He was born May 27, 1929, in Ada, Minn., where he grew up.

Mr. Scott joined the National Guard in 1956. He was a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, serving from 1961 to 1973 and completing three tours of duty in Vietnam.

He moved to Grants Pass in 1982 from the Marshall Islands.

Mr. Scott was a flight instructor for four years in Grants Pass. After moving to Ashland in 1987, he was flight base operator at the Ashland Airport until 1991.

He lived in Medford for a short time before moving to White City.

Mr. Scott was active in the Civil Air Patrol and a member of the Elks Lodge, Quiet Birdmen, and Tractor Club Chapter 9 in Grants Pass. He enjoyed collecting tractors and antiques.

Survivors include two sons, John, in Wisconsin, and Jamie, in Washington; a daughter, Judy Heinz, in North Dakota; two sisters, Marilyn, in California, and Betty, Sturgis, S.D.; and six grandchildren.

Carl Marvin Bingamon

Carl Marvin Bingamon, 55, of Medford, died Wednesday (Nov. 4, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service was held.

He was born April 15, 1943, in San Dimas, Calif. On Feb. 21, 1974, in Chino, Calif., he married Georgia Mudge, who survives.

Mr. Bingamon served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a long haul truck driver and enjoyed fishing and watching movies.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Tina Anderson, Medford, Diana Cook, Denver, Colo., and Theresa Steward, Portola, Calif.; a stepson, Larry Mudge, Roseburg; his mother, Esther Looney, Pomona, Calif.; a brother, Dennis Bingamon, Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Sharon Crabtree, Apple Valley, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Medford.

Valerie D. Simon

The memorial service for Valerie D. Simon will be at 10 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, 456 West Pine St., Central Point. The Rev. Dwayne Brown will officiate.

Mrs. Simon, 86, of Central Point, died Tuesday (Nov. 3, 1998) at her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation, Hospice, 2825 East Barnett Road, Medford, OR 97504.

She was born Valerie Dorothy Modlin on June 17, 1912, in Pittsburg, Kan.

On July 14, 1934, in Lamar, Mo., she married Charles C. Simon, who survives.

The Simons moved to Westwood, Lassen County, Calif., in 1935. In 1995, they moved to Central Point from Red Bluff, Calif.

During World War II, Mrs. Simon was a secretary for Kaiser Shipbuilding in Richmond, Calif..

Mrs. Simon was a life member of Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing the piano, cards, needlecraft, and creating award-winning afghans.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Robert, Central Point, and George, Cambria, Calif.; two daughters, Edwina, Chico, Calif., and Dorothy, Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Donald M. Trembley

The graveside service for Donald M. Trembley will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rock Point Cemetery, Gold Hill.

Mr. Trembley, 45, of Gold Hill, died of cancer October 29, 1998, at his home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the John Wayne Cancer Institute, 1328 22nd Ave., Santa Monica, CA 90404.

Mr. Trembley was a welder for 15 years with Shell Oil Exploration and Production in Huntington Beach, Calif. He retired to the Rogue Valley in 1996.

He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1971 to 1974.

Mr. Trembley enjoyed camping, fishing and working in the garage.

Survivors include a brother, Ron Gandy, New Orleans, La. A son, Trevor, preceded him in death.

Joseph Ralph Martel

The memorial Mass for Joseph Ralph Martel will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, Central Point. The Rev. Jim Clifford will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.

Mr. Martel, 91, of Medford, died Wednesday (Nov. 4, 1998) at his home.

He was born March 4, 1907, in Quebec, Canada.

On Aug. 15, 1947, in Williamsville, N.Y., he married Diane Perrault, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1972 from California.

Mr. Martel was a welder for Besteel Co. in California, retiring in 1969.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Margaret Abodeely, Roseburg, Antoinette Grise, Long Beach, Calif., and Barbara Perez, Diamond Bay, Calif.; two sons, Joseph Jr., Roseburg, and Lawrence, Seaside, Calif.; a stepson, Gerald P. Duffy, Las Vegas, Nev.; four stepdaughters, Lorraine Wilson, Montecito, Calif., Marlene Ault, Las Vegas; Claudette Duffy, Beverly Hills, Calif., and Sheila Lagomarsino, Long Beach; 29 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Katzendorn; a daughter, Theresa Selvy; five brothers, Gaudiosse, Pierre, Wilfred, Marcel and Henri; and two sisters, Obeline and Imelda.

Friends may pay their respects from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
