Richard Eash Cade
Richard Eash Cade, 84, of Medford, died Saturday (Nov. 14, 1998) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born May 7, 1914, in Wenatchee, Wash.
On Dec. 11, 1947, in Vancouver, Wash., he married Audrey Wells, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1980 from McKinleyville, Calif.
Mr. Cade was a truck driver in the logging industry for 50 years before retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, the National Rifle Association and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and motorcycles.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Leslie, Beaverton, and Leonard, Kelso, Wash.; a brother, Barney, Coos Bay; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Homer Wilson Lessor
The graveside service for Homer Wilson Lessor will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Minister Dave Humphreys of the Phoenix Church of Christ will officiate.
Mr. Lessor, 71, of Medford, died Saturday (Nov. 14, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born April 15, 1927, in Peck, Idaho.
Mr. Lessor served in the U.S. Navy for seven years. He was a boilermaker at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Wash., retiring in 1978 after 30 years.
On May 28, 1977, in Reno, Nev., he married Esther Forstrom, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1980 from Bremerton.
He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and enjoyed traveling and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Homer Wilson Jr., Ranier, and Ronald Wilson, Bremerton; three daughters, Kathleen Roberts, Victorville, Calif., and Dianna Rigo and Mary Magoon, both Folkston, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Janet Henshall, Vallejo, Calif.; a brother, Tom, Okinawa, Japan; three sisters, Wyonna Bailor, in California, Violet Daniels, Santa Rosa, Calif., and Cuma Lombard, Auburn, Wash.; a half-sister, Shirley Moffett, Carson City, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Ernie Lessor.

Lloyd Payne
The funeral for Lloyd Payne will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. Nevitt Smith of Ashland will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Payne, 62, of Ashland, died Friday (Nov. 13, 1998) at his home.

He was born July 22, 1936, in Iola, Kan.
On Sept. 1, 1956, in Hawthorne, Calif., he married Carol Winkler, who survives.
Mr. Payne moved to Ashland 20 years ago, where he owned and operated Certified Glass.
He raised racehorses at the Runny D Ranch in Ashland.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Lori Wilson, Medford, and Kathy Payne, Long Island, N.Y.; a sister, Jan Patterson, Ashland; two brothers, Jim, Springfield, Mo., and Jack, Redding, Calif.; and two granddaughters.

Beth Ellen Rideout
The memorial service for Beth Ellen Rideout will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Phoenix First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. John Braund will officiate.
Mrs. Rideout, 83, of Phoenix, died Nov. 9, 1998, at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Beth Ellen Brown on Feb. 28, 1915, in Jefferson, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State College and was a member of Sigma Kappa.
In 1938, in Jefferson, she married Kenneth Klaus, who preceded her in death.
In 1983, in Las Vegas, Nev., she married Clifford Rideout, who died in 1983.
Mrs. Rideout moved to Phoenix in 1991.
She enjoyed needlecraft.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Ann Klaus, Alameda, Calif.; and a sister, Hazel Zachar, San Antonio, Texas.

Theda Forsythe
The graveside service for Theda Forsythe will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland.
Mrs. Forsythe, 81, of Ashland, died Saturday (Nov. 14, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
She was born Theda Bulis on Oct. 24, 1917, in Kiefer, Okla. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Doniphan, Mo. in 1943.
On April 12, 1946, in Yreka, Calif., she married Henry John Forsythe, who died in 1972.
Mrs. Forsythe was a waitress and cook for various restaurants in Ashland. She retired in 1977.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Mrs. Forsythe enjoyed sewing, cooking and trips to the Oregon Coast.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Ann Mayben, Ashland, and Eva E. "Judi" Varney, Medford; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Herbert "Ray" Feeler, and William "Bill" Feeler.

Jacqueline Cook
The memorial service for Jacqueline "Jackie" Jean Cook will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of her sister, Janice Endicott, at 308 Walnut St., Oakland, Ore.
Ms. Cook, 58, of Shady Cove, died Sunday (Nov. 15, 1998) at her home.
She was born Jacqueline Jean Whiteman on Aug. 12, 1940, in Portland. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Oregon City in 1995.
Ms. Cook was active in the Oregon City Traditional Jazz Society, a member of the Medford Eagles Lodge, an Elkette in the McMinnville Lodge, and a member of Danish Sisterhood. She enjoyed folk dancing and at one time danced with the Portland International Folk Dancers.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Dukart, Shady Cove; her mother and stepfather, June and Harry Carrick, Klamath Falls; her stepmother, Jan Whiteman, Portland; a sister, Janice Endicott, Oakland; two brothers, John Whiteman, Portland, and James Carrick, Junction City; two half-brothers, Robert Whiteman, Portland, and Bradley Whiteman, Nevada; two half-sisters, Trudy Kvinge and Laurie Whiteman, both of Portland; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Whiteman; and an infant brother, Jack Whiteman Jr.

Willis `Curly' Dollar
Willis "Curly" Dollar, 81, of Central Point, died Friday (Nov. 13, 1998) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born July 4, 1917 in White Earth, N.D.
On Nov. 25, 1949, in Reno, Nev., he married Joyce Cota, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Fremont, Calif. 8 1/2 years ago.
Mr. Dollar was a manager with Turner Ford Dealership in Fremont, Calif., for 29 years.
He enjoyed traveling and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Janet Wright, Oroville, Calif; two sons, Steve, Fremont, Calif., and Mike, Wilsonville; two sisters, Dorothy Balcastro, Weed, Calif., and Edith House, Santa Rosa, Calif.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Robert.

Delsa P. Stevens
Delsa Petrina Stevens, 80, of Ashland, died Sunday (Nov. 15, 1998) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Delsa Petrina Miller on March 11, 1918, in Thayne, Wyo. The family moved to Central Point when she was 7.
On Aug. 25, 1936, in Medford, she married Harvey Stevens, who died in 1979.
Mrs. Stevens worked for Parson's Pine from 1964 to 1974.
She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, reading and walking.
Survivors include a daughter, Noma Lawton, Ashland; two sons, Thomas, Bay City, and Loren, Washougal, Wash.; a brother, Boyd Miller, Lynwood, Wash.; three sisters, Clara Shipp, Portland, Dorise Quackinbush, Sonoma, Calif., and Maxine Comer, San Jose, Calif.; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
