Harold Edwin Bigelow
Harold Edwin Bigelow, 82, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 2, 1998) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born Aug. 22, 1916, in Myrtle Point.
Mr. Bigelow moved to the Rogue Valley in 1935 from Myrtle Point.
On May 23, 1954, in Medford, he married Pearl Victoria Funderburk, who died in 1989.
Mr. Bigelow owned and operated 4 Corners Repair and Manufacturing on Crater Lake Highway for 50 years.
Earlier he worked for the Oregon Fish and Game Department.
He was a member of the Redmen Lodge, a life member of the National Rifle Association, and enjoyed annual packing trips with his family, the mountains, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Calvin E. and Raymond E., both Medford; a daughter, Georgia M. Bigelow, Medford; a sister, Velma E. Johnson, Grass Valley, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Laurel Barklow; and a brother, Calvin.

James A. Dodson
The graveside service for James A. Dodson will be at 4 p.m. today in Jacksonville Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Elam of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Medford, will officiate. A potluck meal will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at 73 Clover Lane, Medford.
Mr. Dodson, 69, of Medford, died Tuesday (Dec. 1, 1998) at his home.
He was born March 27, 1929, in Dunsmuir, Calif.
Mr. Dodson served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1946 to 1948.
He moved to the Rogue Valley 24 years ago from Portland.
On July 8, 1996, in Medford, he married Emilda Imperial Lucena, who survives.
Mr. Dodson was a teacher, miner and real estate broker.
He was president of the Rogue Valley Mining Association.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his mother, Gertrude Marshall, Medford; and a sister, Barbara Rooklidge, Portland.

Tehani Roberson-Monroe
The memorial service for Tehani Donelle Roberson-Monroe will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Church of Christ, 1885 N. Keene Way, Medford. Pastor Glenn Prosise will officiate.
Tehani, infant daughter of Michael Dean Roberson and April Marie Monroe of Medford, died Saturday (Nov. 28, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
She was born May 14, 1998, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include grandparents, John and Ann Griffin, Medford, Lynn Bartman, Santee, Calif., and Joseph Budz, Santee; two sisters, Tatiana Roberson, Medford, and Corrina Blackwell, Apache Junction, Ariz.; and a brother, Steven Smith, Apache Junction.

John G. Walsh
John G. Walsh, 75, of Grants Pass, died Monday (Nov. 30, 1998) at Three Rivers Community Hospital. A memorial service will be held later.
He was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Kansas.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army as a heavy weapons officer with the 217th Battalion in the American and European theaters. He was a platoon sergeant and operated and gave instruction on heavy machine guns and mortars.
On July 27, 1947, in Los Angeles, he married Zoe Oskin, who survives.
Mr. Walsh was a salesman for 12 years, then owned and operated hotels for 12 years.
In 1972, the Walshes moved to Southern Oregon from Glendale, Calif., to become ranchers.
He was a member of Oregon Cattlemen Association of Jackson County, the Grants Pass Elks Lodge, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and football.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include five sisters, Fern Bush, Woodland Hills, Calif., Helen Buzbee and Maxine Wheeler, both Canyon Lake, Calif., Jeanne Cressman, Playa Del Rey, Calif., and Wilma Ast, Anaheim, Calif.

Alfred R. Boileau Jr.
Alfred R. Boileau Jr., 65, of Medford, died Friday (Nov. 27, 1998) at the Ashland Community Hospital. A private service is planned. Interment will be in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born March 22, 1933, in Klamath Falls.
Mr. Boileau graduated from Medford High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Smith lived in Long Beach, Calif., for five years before returning to the Rogue Valley in 1968.
For the past 30 years he was disabled with Parkinson's disease.
He enjoyed painting and other artistic activities.
Survivors include two sisters, Janet Thompson, Medford, and Hazel Sheehan, Reading, Pa.; and his stepmother, Mabel Boileau, Medford.

Hertha Clark
The memorial service for Hertha Clark will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, 550 Business Park Drive, Medford. The Rev. Ray Elam of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Medford, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Clark, 75, of Medford, died Sunday (Nov. 29, 1998) at her son's home in Medford.
She was born Hertha Szamek on Feb. 19, 1923, in Vienna, Austria.
On May 5, 1949, in Vienna, she married Willis Earl Clark, who died Aug. 1 of this year.
Mrs. Clark moved to Medford one month ago from Midlothian, Ill.
She enjoyed doll collecting, jewelry, porcelain and sports.
Survivors include a son, Jack Ritter, Medford; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

Marjorie Rio Reffstrup
An open house celebrating the memory of Marjorie Rio Reffstrup will be held Sunday, Dec. 13, at the family home in Eugene. A private service also is planned.
Mrs. Reffstrup, 46, formerly of Ashland, died Saturday (Nov. 28, 1998) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Eugene. Her home was in Eugene.

She was born Marjorie Rio on April 28, 1952, in Shelby, Mont.
She attended schools in Corvallis and in Bellingham, Wash., and graduated from Ashland High School in 1970.
She attended what was then Southern Oregon State College for two years.
In 1983, in Eugene, she married Ken Reffstrup, who survives.
For the past 15 years, Mrs. Reffstrup was office manager for Dennis Reinwald of the Pacific Coast Trading Co. in Eugene.
She enjoyed watching her children play sports and was an active volunteer at their schools. She also enjoyed traveling, gourmet cooking, sewing and snow skiing.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Brooks, Eugene; a daughter, Aleks, Eugene; her parents, Sheldon and Joan Rio, Ashland; and a brother, Rodger Rio, Medford.

Hope V. Hedgpeth
The memorial service for Hope V. Hedgpeth will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Nazarene Church, Prospect. Bob Pruett will officiate.
Mrs. Hedgpeth, 99, of Prospect, died Monday (Nov. 30, 1998) at her home.

She was born Sept. 3, 1899, in Prospect, a daughter of Nelson and Clarice Nye.
On July 31, 1937, in Roseburg, she married Dee Hedgpeth, who survives.
Mrs. Hedgpeth was a teacher.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Prospect and Women's Christian Temperance Union. She enjoyed flowers and music.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Robin, Prospect; a daughter, Delpha Steffen, Grants Pass; a brother, Ivan Nye, in Arizona; a sister, Irene Jantzer, Mount Shasta, Calif.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leatha Butler; and two sons, Ray and Dale Clarke.
