Darryl Lee Drenon
Darryl Lee Drenon, 50, of Medford, died Tuesday (Dec. 15, 1998) at his home. A private service will be held later with inurnment to follow in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born June 23, 1948, in Mountain View, Calif.
After graduating from high school, Mr. Drenon served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was awarded numerous medals including a Purple Heart.
Mr. Drenon was a Hyster driver in a lumber mill.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Brian, Redding, Calif.; his mother, Mary Guasp, Medford; two sisters, Sharryl Sanders, Gold Hill, and Barbara Speck, Rainier; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Edward.

Mary Theresa Murphy
Mary Theresa Murphy, 70, of Medford, died Tuesday (Dec. 15, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A memorial service was held.
She was born Mary Theresa Ford on Jan. 15, 1928, in New York City.
Mrs. Murphy lived in Selma from 1963 until moving to Portland in 1970. She moved to Medford in 1994.
A registered nurse, Mrs. Murphy was a county health nurse in Josephine County and a state health nurse in Portland.
She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael McNally, Cave Junction, and Patrick McNally, Darrington, Wash.; two brothers, Richard Ford, Tucson, Ariz., and Thomas Ford, Seal Beach, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis McNally in 1996; and a sister, Dorothy Garcia.

Lysle `Mac' McMurray
Lysle Elwood "Mac" McMurray, 90, of Medford, died Friday (Dec. 18, 1998) at the Royal Oaks Retirement Center.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Siskiyou Chapel, Medford.
Arrangements are being handled by Perl Funeral Services-Siskiyou, Medford.
Bill Wisener
The graveside service for Bill Wisener will be at 1 p.m. today in the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Tony Russo of Church of the Blessed Hope will officiate.
Mr. Wisener, 63, of Merlin, died Wednesday (Dec. 16, 1998) at his home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 400 N.E. E St., Grants Pass, OR 97526.
He was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Dallas, Ga.
Mr. Wisener served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a technical sergeant in 1974.
On Nov. 28, 1957, in Orlando, Fla., he married Mary Louise Chandler, who survives. They lived in Collegedale, Tenn., from 1975 to 1992, when they moved to Eagle Point.
They moved to Grants Pass in 1994.
Mr. Wisener was a member of the Medford Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed photography and watching football.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, William C., Grants Pass, and Charles R., National City, Calif.; a brother, James, Temple, Ga.; a sister, Shelba Estes, Temple; and five grandchildren.

Hazel McCandless
The cryptside service for Hazel McCandless will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford. The Rev. Lance Lovlin of Medford First Assembly of God will officiate.
Mrs. McCandless, 88, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 16, 1998) at Medford Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
She was born Hazel Corene Woods on Oct. 15, 1910, in Sterling, Colo.
On March 15, 1944, in Denver, Colo., she married Harvey R. McCandless, who died in 1968. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1954 from Denver.
Mrs. McCandless was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Dolores Cantonwine, Medford; three brothers, Wayne Dykes, Denver, Jack Dykes, San Diego, Calif., and William Dykes, Woodland, Calif.; a sister, Pauline Franz, Alameda, Calif.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

William L. Mayer
The memorial service for William L. Mayer will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mountain View Baptist Church, 616 S. Pacific Highway, Talent. Pastor Bob Huntoon will officiate.
Mr. Mayer, 63, of Medford, died Tuesday (Dec. 15, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born March 11, 1935, in Los Angeles.
On Feb. 8, 1953, in Yuma, Ariz., he married Grace Baker, who survives.
Mr. Mayer worked for many years in sales and customer service.
He was a volunteer worker and Boy Scout leader for many years, serving as staff photographer for the 1989 Boy Scout Jamboree East.
Mr. Mayer also enjoyed nature photography, camping, hiking and traveling with his family. He was known for his sense of humor.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Timothy, White City, Kenneth, El Cerrito, Calif., and David, Greensboro, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

Frank R. Rochow
Frank R. Rochow, 77, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 16, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center. A private service will be held later.

He was born Dec. 27, 1920, in Rochester, N.Y.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
On Aug. 10, 1974, in North Hollywood, Calif., he married Georgene Phillips, who survives.
Mr. Rochow was a salesman in the window and door industry until his retirement.
He moved to Oregon in 1990.
Mr. Rochow was a volunteer with the ACCESS Loaves and Fishes program. A member of Rogue Valley Opera Guild, Rogue Valley Symphony Guild and Rogue Valley Harmonizers, he also enjoyed gardening, golfing, skiing and the theater, especially working backstage on sets and lighting.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, David, in California; four daughters, Cynthia Goodman, Joni Rochow and Tracy Hazlewood, all in California, and Julie Odenbach, Rochester, N.Y.; a brother; four sisters; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

William W. Atwood
The memorial service for William W. "Bill" Atwood will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Central Point Masonic Lodge at Fifth and East Pine streets.
Mr. Atwood, 74, of Medford, died Tuesday (Dec. 15, 1998) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 3, 1924, in Youngstown, Ohio.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific.
On May 31, 1945, in Klamath Falls, he married Bonnie Jeanne Moore, who survives. Mr. Atwood served as first commandant of the Klamath Falls Marine Corps League.
Mr. Atwood owned and operated Fyr-Fyter Sales and Service in Medford until his retirement.
He was a founding member of the Medford Little League, a former member of Medford Linebackers, a member of Medford Scottish Rite Lodge and a life member of Crater Lake Masonic Lodge No. 211 and Shrine Hillah Temple of Medford, serving as potentate in 1993, and active in the Jackson County and Josephine County Shrine clubs.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Bill, Mike and Rich, all Medford; two daughters, Nancy Lee Wirch and Judy Flenner, both Medford; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
