Wilton Albert White
Wilton Albert White, 85, of Central Point, died Thursday (Dec. 24, 1998) at his home. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
He was born March 20, 1913, in St. Helens, and came to the Rogue Valley in 1927.
On April 3, 1937, in Medford, he married Carol Dodge, who survives.
Mr. White was a self-employed Rogue Valley orchardist since 1943.
He owned and operated White's Produce on Jacksonville Highway and was past president of SOS (Southern Oregon Sales) fruit packing and the now-defunct Rogue Valley Cannery.
He was a member of the Medford and Central Point school boards, the Elks Lodge, University Club and Rogue Valley Country Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Wilton `Bill' Jr., Charles Thompson and Raymond Bradley, all Medford; a brother, Thompson E., Eugene; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Freeman Tollefson
The memorial service for Freeman Tollefson will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hillcrest Mortuary, Medford. Pastor Bob Larsen of Ascension Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Tollefson, 84, of Medford, died Monday (Dec. 28, 1998) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born Oct. 20, 1914, in Van Hook, N.D.
On March 8, 1935, in Kelso, Wash., he married Viola Mattila, who survives. They moved to Medford 36 years ago from Grants Pass.
Mr. Tollefson worked in the Boise Cascade lumber mill and retired in 1980 as resident manager of veneer.
He was a member of the Eugene Moose and Eagles lodges and a 28-year member of the Medford Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening and NASCAR.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Dennis G., Medford, and Terry F., Roseburg; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gearhart.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 today in Hillcrest Chapel, Medford.

Barbara Ann Coonse
The graveside service for Barbara Ann Coonse will be held Thursday in the Juniper Haven Cemetery, Prineville.
Mrs. Coonse, 60, of Prineville, died Friday (Dec. 25, 1998) in Medford.

She was born Barbara Riehl on July 13, 1938, in Milton-Freewater.
On April 4, 1956, in Prineville, she married Dale D. Coonse, who survives. In 1959, they moved to Kennewick, Wash., then moved to the Rogue Valley in 1965.
They lived in Anacortes, Wash., from 1973 to 1975 before returning to the Rogue Valley.
Mrs. Coonse traveled with her husband and managed motels for various companies.
She enjoyed gambling in Las Vegas and Reno, painting and crossword puzzles.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Kathy Curry, Eagle Point; two sons, Terry, Prineville, and Tracy, Tacoma, Wash.; a sister, Delores Mizer, Prineville; and five granddaughters.

Donald E. Gibbs
The graveside service for Donald E. Gibbs will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Lee Gregory of the Neighborhood Church of Medford will officiate.
Mr. Gibbs, 76, of Medford, died Monday (Dec. 28, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Monterey, Calif.
Mr. Gibbs was a carpenter for 50 years.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He moved to Oregon in 1973.
Mr. Gibbs was a member and volunteer with Neighborhood Church of the Christian Missionary Alliance. He was active in the Twirlers Square Dance Club and the Medford Eagles Lodge and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Hogue, Medford; a son, Daniel, Central Point; two brothers; two sisters; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lemon.

Francis E. Farley
The funeral for Francis E. Farley will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Fort Jones, Calif., Masonic Lodge. Interment will follow in the Fort Jones Cemetery.
Mr. Farley, 82, of Central Point, died Saturday (Dec. 26, 1998) at his home.

He was born May 16, 1916, in Durango, Colo., and grew up in the Los Angeles area.
On Sept. 19, 1941, he married Merrilee Jacob, who survives.
The Farleys moved to Fort Jones to join the family business, Eddie Edgecomb Mercantile. They lived in Fort Jones for 46 years before moving to Central Point.
Mr. Farley was a past master and 58-year member of Fort Jones North Star Lodge No. 91 F.&A.M., past patron of Evening Star Chapter 10, Order of Eastern Star in Etna, Calif., and active in York Rite Bodies of Yreka, Calif., Scottish Rite and Ben Ali Temple of Sacramento, Klamath Scottish Rite Club and Siskiyou Shrine Clubs of Yreka.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Dan, Central Point; a daughter, Sandra Delehanty, Penryn, Calif.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Ida Schatz
The memorial service for Ida Schatz will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Central Point First Baptist Church. Pastor Damon McCoy will officiate.
Another memorial service will be held later in Cornell, Wis., with inurnment in the Cornell Cemetery.
Mrs. Schatz, 92, of Central Point, died Thursday (Dec. 24, 1998) at her home.

She was born Ida Ella Schroetter on March 7, 1906, in Chippewa County, Wis.
In 1929, she married George Schatz, who died in 1969.
They had a farm in the Birch Creek, Wis., area from 1929 until moving to the Rogue Valley in 1964.
Mrs. Schatz was a member of the Central Point First Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and crocheting.
Survivors include two sons, Rollin, Jacksonville, and William, Gold Hill; three daughters, Helen Read, Medford, Lucille Davis, La Crosse, Wis., and Lois Ender, Eau Claire, Wis.; two sisters, Lucille Silverling, Cameron, Wis., and Fern Griechen, Milwaukee, Wis.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry in 1946; a brother, Elmer; three sisters, Laura, Mildred and Norma; and two grandchildren.

H. Glenn Busby
The memorial service for H. Glenn Busby will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, in Chapel of the Roses Mortuary, Atascadero, Calif.
Mr. Busby, 80, of Medford, died Dec. 23, 1998, at Farmington Square in Medford.
He was born June 8, 1918, in Cleveland, Okla., and moved to California in 1933.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
On June 28, 1947, he married Idelina Govin, who died in 1987.
Mr. Busby was a self-employed general contractor.
He lived in Orange County, Calif., until retiring to Atascadero in 1978.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Edith Shorland, Medford, and Eileen Carmen Williams, Nevada City, Calif.; a son, Scott Govin Busby, Seattle; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine and Doris; and a brother, Douglas.
