Irma Narice Johnson
The funeral for Irma Narice Johnson will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Chapel in Medford. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Johnson, 72, of Medford, died Monday (Jan. 4, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 100 Oak Ave., Central Point, OR 97502.
She was born Irma Narice Minger on July 14, 1926, in Arcadia, Fla. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Missouri in 1942.
On June 9, 1945, in Jacksonville, she married L. Gale Johnson, who survives.
Mrs. Johnson was a specialty packer with Harry and David for 35 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Central Point.
Mrs. Johnson enjoyed playing cards, gardening and canning, baking and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Tanya K. DeHart, Medford; a son, Richard G., Toledo; two brothers, Earl Minger, Talent, and Raymond Minger, Brookings; two sisters, Irene Millard, Medford, and Lono Guilsolye, LaGrange, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Joseph Johnson, and three brothers, Clyde, Clarence and Alton Minger.
Friends may pay their respects from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
Ruby Marie Henry
Ruby Marie Henry, 91, of Central Point, died Dec. 30, 1998, at Medford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. A celebration of life will be held later at Medford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

She was born Ruby Marie Davis on June 28, 1907, in Grant City, Mo.
On Feb. 11, 1926, in Grant City, she married Claude Henry, who died in 1955. She moved to Payette, Idaho, in 1937, and to Medford in 1947.
Mrs. Henry retired from the Jackson County Detention Center in 1968.
She was a member of the Assembly of God church.
She enjoyed needlework, playing the piano and organ, gardening, and listening to gospel music.
Survivors include three daughters, Dena Chellis, Medford, Bonnie Geyer, Central Point, and Jan Webb, White City; two sons, Virgil LaVelle, Medford, and Curtis Henry, Kansas City, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, LaVonne Henry, Gwen Hart and Darlene O'Callahan; three grandsons, three great-grandsons, three brothers, and three sisters.

David Eugene Fox
The Divine Liturgy followed by a memorial service for the Rev. David Eugene Fox will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church, Ashland. The Rev. David Shank, of Annunciation Orthodox Church in Milwaukie, and the V. Rev. Ian MacKinnon of Holy Cross Orthodox Church in Sacramento, Calif., will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset View Cemetery, El Cerrito, Calif.
The Rev. Fox, 41, of Ashland, died Thursday (Dec. 31, 1998) at his home.
He was born June 12, 1957, in Oakland, Calif. He graduated from Albany High School in Albany, Calif. in 1975.
He served in the U.S. Army in Germany for three years.
In 1997 he graduated with a master's degree from St. Tikhons Orthodox Theological Seminary in South Canaan, Pa.
Following his graduation, he moved to Ashland, where he was a priest for St. Gabriel's Orthodox Mission. He also worked as a skills trainer for Southern Oregon Training and Rehabilitation.
He was a member of the Monastery of St. John in Point Reyes, Calif.
Survivors include two brothers, Bruce, El Sobrante, Calif., and John, Amherst, Mass. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Chloe Fox.

Jess Gerold Vincent
The funeral for Jess Gerold Vincent will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Ruth Bennett Memorial Chapel in Missoula City Cemetery, Missoula, Mont. Members of the Missoula Masonic Lodge No. 13 will officiate. Interment will follow in the city cemetery.
Mr. Vincent, 93, of Hot Springs, Mont., formerly of Sams Valley, died Sunday (Jan. 3, 1999) at his home.

He was born March 30, 1905, in Sams Valley, a son of John Roscoe and Mary May (Conley) Vincent. He was raised and educated in the Sams Valley area, and helped his father with farm work. He worked in the fruit orchards in Jackson County until he was old enough to work in the logging camps in Southern Oregon and Northern California.
On July 24, 1953, in Medford, he married Susie L. Bacon, who survives.
Mr. Vincent worked for the Interstate Telephone Company in Bishop, Calif. He transferred to Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company in Medford, retiring in 1955 after 32 years of service.
He was a 50-plus year member of the Masonic Order, Warren Chapter No. 10, Jacksonville, a member of Hillah Shrine Temple of Ashland, and Algeria Temple of Helena. He was also a member of the Clark Fork Shrine Club and a life member of the Hot Springs Senior Citizens, and a member of the National Rifle Association.
After his retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively in the United States, visiting all but three states. They also traveled in Canada, Europe, Russia, Australia and New Zealand.
Mr. Vincent enjoyed hunting and fishing, and raised flowers, vegetables and fruit trees.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Dale "Jim," Medford; a sister, Ella Netherland, Medford; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, a stepson, Bill Riddle, and an adopted son, Jack Leroy Vincent.

Adam Warner Rahn
The funeral for Adam Warner Rahn will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Victory Tabernacle, 463 N. 39th St., Springfield. Burial will be in Siskiyou Memorial Gardens in Medford.
Mr. Rahn, 76, formerly of Medford, died Saturday (Jan. 2, 1999) in Springfield, where he was living.
He was born Jan. 12, 1922, in Walhonding, Ohio.
On March 5, 1977, in Eugene, he married Florence E. Alderman Saner, who survives.
Mr. Rahn owned his own construction company from 1962 to 1965. From 1966 to 1976 he was a supervisor and teacher with the Job Corps. He was self-employed until 1997.
He enjoyed woodworking and collecting antique tools.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Beverly Tucker, Central Point, Marlene Dallof, Medford, and Carol Kerschner, Tigard; a son, Chris, Medford; a stepdaughter, Charlene DeForrest, Springfield; two stepsons, Rev. Gary Saner, Colusa, Calif., and Rodney Saner, Redmond; a brother, the Rev. Andrew Rahn, Modesto, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Ray Clifford Fager Jr.
Inurnment for Ray Clifford Fager Jr. will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Fager, 77, of White City, died Dec. 29, 1998, at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born March 27, 1921, in Dayton, Ohio. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Roseburg in 1957.
Mr. Fager worked for the railroad until he moved to White City, where he worked at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include two sisters, Patricia Brizendine, Prospect, and Idabelle Ferguson, Ehrenberg, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alice H. Herod
Alice H. Herod, 76, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 30, 1998) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service was held.
She was born Alice Holliday on Sept. 6, 1922, in Worcester, N.Y.
On Dec. 31, 1944, in Elgin, Ill., she married Buren "Sandy" C. Herod, who survives.
Mrs. Herod was a registered nurse in home care in the Chicago suburbs, and was a member of the Nursing Association in Illinois.
The Herods moved to the Rogue Valley four years ago from Mount Prospect, Ill., where they lived for 44 years.
Mrs. Herod was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles, camping and knitting for local charities.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include four sons, Tom, Eagle Point, Jim, Selma, Bud, Barrington, Ill., and Mike, Mystic, Conn.; a sister, Nancy Hinderliter, Watseka, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Marjorie Fern Smith
The graveside service for Marjorie Fern Brimhall Smith will be at 11 a.m. today at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, 77, of Ashland, died Saturday (Jan. 2, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Marjorie Fern Brimhall on Oct. 1, 1921, in Salt Lake City. She was raised in Bingham Canyon, Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University in 1942.
Mrs. Smith served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 through 1946 as a Seaman lst Class aerographer's mate.
On Nov. 27, 1946, in Salt Lake City, she married Joe Melvin Smith, who survives.
She moved to Ashland in 1967 after her husband retired from the U.S. Air Force.
Mrs. Smith enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, and working out at Gold's Gym in Ashland.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include four sons, Ron, Ashland, Charles, Oregon City, Michael, Snoqualmie, Wash., and David, Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Carol Smith-Merkulov, Olympia, Wash.; a sister, Betty Stone, Mountain View, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
