Margarete P. Simpson
Friends and relatives of Margarete P. Simpson will gather for an informal memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at her home. Interment will be in Las Vegas.
Mrs. Simpson, 90, of Central Point, died Friday (Jan. 15, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Center in Medford.
She was born Margarete Patton on Nov. 14, 1908, in San Antonio, Texas.
On April 30, 1938, in San Antonio, she married Bryan W. Simpson, who preceded her in death. She moved to Oregon from Nevada in 1975.
Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker.
She enjoyed reading and traveling.
Survivors include a son, Robert L., Central Point; two brothers, H.G. Patton, Longview, Texas, and H.L. Patton, Sandia, Texas; a sister, Maxine Campbell, Sandia, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Yrenio `Dan' Morales
Yrenio "Dan" Morales, 54, of Medford, died Jan. 3, 1999, in South Daytona, Fla. Interment was in Arlington National Cemetery, Va.

He was born Nov. 19, 1944, in Santa Maria, Texas.
On Nov. 16, 1979, in Amarillo, Texas, he married Janice Bethuy, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1985.
Mr. Morales worked for the Corps of Engineers and the Oregon Employment Department until 1997.
He retired from the U.S. Army in 1984 as a master sergeant.
Mr. Morales participated in a number of community organizations and activities, including the United Way.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Donald Morales, Medford, Ralph Kirby, Bunnell, Fla., and Ken Bundy, Houston, Texas; two daughters, Kerensa Rivera, South Daytona, Fla., and Filipia Stille, Ormond Beach, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Betty Brown
Elizabeth "Betty" Luella Brown, 87, of Medford, died Monday (Jan. 18, 1999) at Hearthstone Nursing Center in Medford. A private gathering is planned. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland.
She was born Elizabeth Luella Applegate on Sept. 15, 1911, in Ashland, a daughter of Roscoe and Luella Applegate. She was the great-granddaughter of Jessie Applegate, the founder of the Applegate Trail. She lived in the Rogue Valley most of her life.
In 1955, in Reno, Nev., she married M.C. Brown, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brown worked in the restaurant industry, for the Rogue Valley Country Club, the Ashland Elks Club and the Holiday Inn. She was known for the pies she made.
Survivors include three daughters, Eve DeBus, Medford, Marsha Hopkins, Kennewick, Wash., and Nancy Staller, Lake Havasu, Ariz.; a son, Jack Potter, Lake Sammamish, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Ronald L. Dean
The memorial service for Ronald L. Dean will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Road, Eagle Point. Pastor Webber of Saved by Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Medford, will officiate.
Mr. Dean, 50, of Shady Cove, died Jan. 7, 1998, in an automobile accident near Fish Lake.

Ronald Lee Murphy
The memorial service for Ronald Lee Murphy will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Central Valley Chapel. Pastor Lenny Meyer of North Valley Christian Church will officiate.
Mr. Murphy, 38, of Central Point, died Sunday (Jan. 17, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 2, 1960, in Anacortes, Wash. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Anacortes 17 years ago.
Mr. Murphy was an administrator of computer operations at Musicians Friend. He had also worked for Bear Creek Corp. for 16 years.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Anacortes.
He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting and motorcycles.
Survivors include a son, Sean, Medford, a daughter, Amanda Murphy, Medford; his father, Dennis Murphy, Central Point; his mother, Constance Littlefield, Anacortes; his stepmother, Cherie Murphy, Central Point; two sisters, Chris Frazier, Sedro Woolley, Wash., and Diana Littlefield, Anacortes; three stepsisters, Cyndi Sherman, Central Point, Debbie Jackson, Cloverdale, Calif., and Valerie Chandler, Sedro Woolley; and his grandparents, Phillip and Evelyn Bargewell, Anacortes.

Audrey L. Rheinsburg
The memorial service for Audrey Lovetta Rheinsburg will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church, 1900 Crater Lake Ave., Medford. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Medford Medical Center Hospice will officiate. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rheinsburg, of Medford, died Thursday (Jan. 14, 1999) at Hearthstone.

She was born Audrey Miller on May 1, 1922, in Cando, N.D.
On Sept. 5, 1942, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, she married Harold E. Rheinsburg, who died in 1982. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Portland in 1957.
Mrs. Rheinsburg was a legal secretary in Medford for 21 years, retiring in 1978.
She enjoyed reading and music.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Parish, Medford; two sons, Gary, Oregon City, and Steven, Stayton; three brothers, Francis ``Bud" Miller, Fossil, Kenneth Miller, Oregon City, and Cleo Miller, Portland; four sisters, Geraldine Borreson, Gold Hill, Shirley Haswell, Safford, Ariz., Patricia Kimes, Mulino, and Sally Rettke, Beaverton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

William R. Florey
The funeral service for William R. Florey will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church, 456 W. Pine St., Central Point. Pastor Dwayne Brown will officiate.
Mr. Florey, 71, of Eagle Point, died Saturday (Jan. 16, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Portland. After graduating from high school in Oregon City, he attended O.I.T. in Portland.
On July 28, 1992, in Eagle Point, he married Bernice Edsall, who survives.
Mr. Florey was a foreman for T.R. Florey Asphalt & Paving. He was also employed as a truck driver for Steve Wilson Logging, and Rogue Valley Oil. He retired in 1992.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1945 to 1948. From 1955 to 1968 he was a pilot for the Civil Air Patrol. He was also a volunteer pilot for Mercy Flights for several years.
Mr. Florey enjoyed flying, hunting, fishing and horseback riding.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include seven sons, David, Central Point, John, Gold Hill, Mathew and William, both of Eagle Point, Tom Ellis, White City, Fred Ellis, Eagle Point, and Steve Ellis, Central Point; five daughters, Karen House and Brenda Bishop, both Eagle Point, Mary Phaff and Judy Nelson, both Central Point, and Corrine Colley, Portland; a sister, Judy Hudspeth, Monmouth; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia and Polly.

Mary Louise Colley
The memorial service for Mary Louise Colley will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Community Church, Brookings. Pastor Jim Lamb will officiate.
Mrs. Colley, 72, of Harbor, formerly of Central Point, died Monday (Jan. 18, 1999) at a Crescent City hospital.
She was born Mary Louise Gribble on Jan. 8, 1927, in Guymon, Okla.
On Sept. 6, 1946, in Medford, she married William D. Colley, who survives. She had been a resident of the Rogue Valley since 1944, and moved to Harbor from Central Point in 1993.
Mrs. Colley was a school secretary with Central Point School District until she retired.
She was a member of the First Baptist Community Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, William J., Lapwai, Idaho, Stephen P., Oregon City, and Daniel T., Portland; a sister, Cleo Milkowski, Gold Hill; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Catherine H. Napoli
Catherine Helen Napoli, 85, of Medford, died Friday (Jan. 15, 1999) at her home. A private service will be held later in Guerneville, Calif.

She was born Catherine Helen Arbucci on Oct. 15, 1913, in Italy.
On Feb. 23, 1936, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she married Carmelo Louis Napoli, who preceded her in death. She moved to the Rogue Valley nine years ago from Guerneville.
Mrs. Napoli owned a tavern/restaurant in Guerneville.
She was a member of the American Cancer Society and the Tavern Owners Association.
Mrs. Napoli enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Napoli-Fisher, Medford; a sister, Viola Volpe, New York; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles, in 1976; two brothers, and two sisters.
