B. Maxine Hartman
The memorial service for B. Maxine Hartman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home in Grants Pass.
Mrs. Hartman, 83, of Medford, formerly of Rogue River, died Jan. 16, 1999 at Rogue Valley Manor.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Care Center Foundation, 1710 Fairview Ave., Grants Pass, OR 97526, or to a favorite charity.
She was born Beatrice Maxine Miller on Sept. 6, 1915, in Newberg, Ore.
On Nov. 10, 1934, in Ashland, she married Hugh Hartman, who died in 1998. She moved to Grants Pass from Redmond in 1970.
Mrs. Hartman was a medical and dental assistant. During World War II she worked with the Civil Air Patrol.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, P.E.O. and the Lions Auxiliary.
Mrs. Hartman enjoyed hiking, mountain climbing, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Hinz, Stanfield, Ore.; a foster son, Blaine Frell, Salinas, Calif.; a brother, Gordon Miller, North Bend; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Leonard Hartman; and a granddaughter, Rane Clodfelter.

Russell Marvin Slack
The memorial service for Russell Marvin Slack will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Road, Eagle Point.
Mr. Slack, 50, of Central Point, died Jan. 16, 1999 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
He was born May 1, 1948, in Medford.
Mr. Slack worked in food preparation for the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary for 17 years.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Slack enjoyed nature, animals and people.
Survivors include his mother, Josephine Slack, Medford; a brother, James, Wichita Falls, Texas; and a sister, Ellen Sparks, Wichita Falls, Texas.

Mary O. Rousseau
No services will be held for Mary Olive Rousseau, 82, of Medford, who died Tuesday (Jan. 19, 1999) in Medford.
Mrs. Rousseau moved to the Rogue Valley from New Mexico early last year.
Born Mary Olive Pagett on Oct. 28, 1916 in Coffeyville, Kan., she married the late Oscar Rousseau, her second husband, on Jan. 20, 1970 in San Doval, NM.
Mrs. Rousseau had worked in the aerospace industry as a secretary. She enjoyed walking, reading and listening to music.
Survivors include daughters Mary Ann Gould of Yreka, Calif. and Susan E. Jones of Gardena, Calif.; sons Gregory Rousseau of Encinitas. Calif. and Scott Rousseau of Palm Dale, La.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her second husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert L. Huffman.
Memorial contributions made be made to the Providence Hospice in Medford.

Frieda Federwisch
Private graveside services have been held in the Jacksonville Cemetery for Frieda Federwisch, 94, of Jacksonville, who died Friday (Jan. 22, 1999) at her home.
Born Frieda Buchgraber on April 21, 1904 in Graz, Austria, she married Oscar Federwisch in Chicago. He died in 1989.
When she came to the United States as a young woman, she became the cook for the Clement Studebaker III family, of the Studebaker automobile. She was a member of the Phoenix Club in Anaheim, Calif.
Mrs. Federwisch enjoyed making beaded flowers and was deeply religious.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Houser of Jacksonville and Annmarie Harris of Durham, N.H.; one son, Herman Federwisch of Chino Valley, Ariz.; a sister, Emma Buchgraber of Graz, Austria; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A brother, Edward Buchgraber, preceded her in death.

Fred Theron Honeycutt
The memorial service for Fred Theron Honeycutt will be at 4 p.m. today in Hillcrest Chapel. The Rev. Robert Wallace and Pastor John Wiuff will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Honeycutt, 80, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 20, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born May 9, 1918 in Moore, Okla.
On July 31, 1938, in Reydon, Okla., he married Bertha I. King, who survives.
Mr. Honeycutt was a building contractor. He won three design awards for building shipping crates for Douglas Aircraft during World War II. In 1966, he became a head construction inspector of operations and engineering for TRW in Redondo Beach, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley 2 years ago from California.
He was a member of the Masons, the Scottish Rite and Shriners, and was a Rotarian.
Mr. Honeycutt was a member of the First Church of God where he sang with the church choir, and participated as a soloist.
He enjoyed woodworking, building cabinets for churches, and spent much of his time at his drafting table.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Lois H. Bernard, Ashland; a son, Theron O., Sparks, Nev.; a sister, Pearl G. Liming, Elk Grove, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ervon A.; and four siblings, who died in infancy.

James Kennedy Dunn
James Kennedy Dunn, 84, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (Jan. 21, 1999) at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center. No service is planned.
He was born May 24, 1914, in Ontario, Canada.
On Nov. 12, 1938, in Los Angeles, he married Diane Knapp, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley three years ago from Northern California.
Mr. Dunn owned and operated Scott Pools of Santa Rosa in California for eight years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Mary Pacello, Long Beach, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Victoria `Janice' Toth
The memorial service for Victoria "Janice" Toth will be at 10 a.m. today in Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home, Grants Pass.
Mrs. Toth, 39, of Rogue River, died Tuesday (Jan. 19, 1999) at Three Rivers Community Hospital, Dimmick Campus.
She was born Victoria Janette del Hoya on Jan. 24, 1959, in St. Petersburg, Fla. She moved to Rogue River from Florida in 1986.
On Oct. 14, 1987, in Grants Pass, she married Kirk Stephen Toth, who survives.
Mrs. Toth was a homemaker, a gifted artist and a committed environmentalist.
She enjoyed people and nature.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Gean, Rogue River, an infant daughter, Cherry, Rogue River; her father, Jose Angel del Hoya, Wheaton, Md.; her mother and stepfather, Katherine M. and Anthony Freeland, Pembroke Pines, Fla.; and a brother, Joseph Alan del Hoya, Sunrise, Fla.

Maurice B. Biswell
The memorial service for Maurice B. Biswell will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joy Christian Fellowship, 2715 Table Rock Road, Medford. Pastor John Gomez, a son-in-law, will officiate.
Mr. Biswell, 75, of Medford, died Tuesday (Jan. 19, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Biswell was born on July 16, 1923, in Williams, Calif.
Mr. Biswell moved to the Rogue Valley in 1959 from Corning, Calif.
He was a foreman for Swedenburg Orchards, Myron Root and Associated Fruit.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include four sons, Rick and Gary, both Medford, Dennis, Corning, and Jeff, in California; two daughters, Gwen Gomez, Medford, and Gerri Biswell, in California; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Omar Jr.; and a sister, Laura Lee Toulouse.
