Marie Leffmann
Marie Leffmann, 95, of Rogue River, died Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Center, Medford. Private entombment was in Turlock, Calif., Memorial Park.
She was born Marie Vignalou on Oct. 16, 1903, in France.
She was a registered electrologist before her retirement.
In 1995, she moved to the Rogue Valley from Berkeley, Calif.
Her hobbies included reading, music and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Harry, Rogue River; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Robert A. Walker
Robert A. Walker, 86, of Ashland, died Jan. 16, 1999, at his home. A memorial service was held.
He was born Dec. 14, 1912, in Los Angeles.
Mr. Walker lived in California's Lucerne Valley for 40 years, where he was a truck driver for the Kaiser Cement Co.
He moved to Ashland in 1994 from Cypress, Calif.
Mr. Walker was a member and governor of the Lucerne Valley Elks Lodge and enjoyed cooking and horse racing.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Lillibridge, Ashland, and Darla Morrell, Cypress; a sister, Rose Rizzonelli, Porterville, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Harriet M. Larsen
The memorial service for Harriet M. Larsen will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, in Avoca, Iowa. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Avoca.
Mrs. Larsen, 77, of Medford, died Jan. 22, 1999 in Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Harriet Sarvis on May 11, 1921, in Avoca.
On Oct. 3, 1945, in Avoca, she married Kenneth C. Larsen, who died March 25, 1998. They lived in Medford for 14 years before retiring to Avoca in 1992.
Mrs. Larsen was a billing clerk at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
She had recently returned to Medford from Avoca.
Mrs. Larsen was an avid gardener and crafter.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Travis and Harriet Wagner, both Medford, and Charlotte Stout, Modesto, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Alice R. Springer
The memorial service for Alice R. Springer will be Sunday at Palm Mortuary in Henderson, Nev. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Springer, 80, formerly of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 27, 1999) in Boulder City, Nev., where she was living.

She was born Alice Goldbaum on Oct. 7, 1918, in Mazatlan, Mexico.
She attended schools in the Los Angeles area.
In 1942, in Olympia, Wash., she married Wilson Springer, who preceded her in death. They came to Oregon from Southern California, moving to Medford in the early 1980s from Riddle.
Mrs. Springer moved to Boulder City 2 1/2 years ago from Medford.
She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Springer, Boulder City; a stepdaughter, Lea Kittleson, Boulder City; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph C. Springer, in 1995.

Anna Laura Nordstrom
The memorial service for Anna Laura Nordstrom will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Chapel, Medford. The Rev. Marion Clarkson of Medford First Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Nordstrom, 92, of Medford, died Sunday (Jan. 24, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.
She was born Anna Berreman on Feb. 6, 1906, in Lewiston, Idaho.
On Dec. 8, 1924, in Yakima, Wash., she married Oscar R. Nordstrom, who died in 1981. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1933 from Yakima.
The Nordstroms owned and operated a pear orchard where part of Cedar Links Golf Course is today.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and T.O.P.S. and enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting and gardening.
Survivors include three daughters, Eleanor Mitchell and Reva Nichols, both Medford, and Gladys Christensen, St. Helens; two brothers, Hiram Berreman and Robert Berreman; two sisters, Alice Moore and Dorothy Ruvo; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a step-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Cates, in 1982; and two grandchildren.

Mildred Pyeatt Gazzetta
The funeral for Mildred Elaine Pyeatt Gazzetta will be at 3 p.m. today in Hillcrest Chapel, Medford. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gazzetta, 94, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 27, 1999) in Medford.

She was born Mildred Landers on Nov. 27, 1904, in Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
On Feb. 8, 1931, in Yuma, Ariz., she married Earl D. Pyeatt, who died in 1963.
On July 6, 1975, in Reno, she married Sam Gazzetta, who died in 1987.
While working in the Medford National Little League concession stand from 1971 to 1983, Mrs. Pyeatt Gazzetta was known as "Grandma" to all of the children.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Fowlkes, Medford; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, three sisters, a brother and a granddaughter.

Jewell Mae Gettling
The graveside service for Jewell Mae Gettling will be at 3 p.m. today in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland. Officiating will be grandsons Terry Gettling of Provo, Utah, and Dallen Gettling of Hollywood, Calif.
Mrs. Gettling, 77, of Ashland, died Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at her home.

She was born Jewell Griffith on May 24, 1921, in Promise.
Mrs. Gettling was raised in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School in 1940.
On Aug. 29, 1941, in Ashland, she married Donald Gettling, who died in 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Brad, Ashland, and Burt, Victor, Idaho; a daughter, Debbie Lindsay, Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters, Bonnie Forney, Ashland, and Lela Mullinix, Crescent City, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A brother, Owen Griffith, preceded her in death.

Merwyn Arthur Mayo
The graveside service for Merwyn Arthur Mayo will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford. Pastor James Larsen of Rogue Valley Christian Church will officiate.
Mr. Mayo, 57, of Medford, died Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at his home.

He was born Feb. 21, 1941, in Bakersfield, Calif.
Mr. Mayo moved to the Rogue Valley 41 years ago from Nevada.
Mr. Mayo worked at Meier and Frank for the past five years. Earlier he worked with Southwest Forest Industries for 10 years.
He enjoyed writing, reading and repairing small appliances.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah Murphy, Ashland, Melisa Mayo-Adams, Bend, and Paula Hall, Hereford, Ariz.; a brother, Marvin, Henderson, Nev.; and eight grandchildren.
