Cassidy Maya Carroll
Cassidy Maya Carroll, 4, of Phoenix, died Sunday (Jan. 31, 1999) in Ashland. A private service will be held later.

Cassidy was born Dec. 30, 1994, in Phoenix. She enjoyed dancing, laughing and teasing her brother.
Survivors include her parents, Bill and Sue Carroll, Phoenix; a brother, William, Phoenix; a sister, Abigail, Phoenix; and grandparents, Ron and Jean Durkee, Burlingame, Calif.; and Paul and Bonnie Carroll, Montara, Calif.

Martin F. Haugen
The memorial service for Martin F. Haugen will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Haugen, 73, of Eagle Point, died Monday (Feb. 1, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 23, 1925, in Lewiston, Idaho. His family moved to Oregon when he was a child.
Mr. Haugen worked for U.S. National Bank in Portland and was later transferred to the Medford office.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 until 1967, and served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He also attended submarine school and attained the rank of chief petty officer and traveled all over the world.
Mr. Haugen enjoyed reading, ham radio, his friends and learning to use the computer.
Survivors include a nephew, Donald Oliverson, Aloha, Ore. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Mignon Lee Caughran
The graveside service for Mignon "Mig" Lee Caughran will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The Rev. Stan Johnson of the Church of Christ will officiate.
Mrs. Caughran, 80, of Medford, died Wednesday (Feb. 3, 1999) at her home.

She was born Mignon Lee Reeves on May 20, 1918, in Rock Island, Texas.
In Los Angeles, she married Orville R. Caughran, who died in 1996.
Mrs. Caughran was a board member for Downey Parks & Recreation and the Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation. She was awarded national and state awards for park and recreation achievements. In Los Angeles, she was named Woman of the Year for her help in developing five parks. Caughran Park in Bellflower, Calif., was named in her honor.
The couple moved to the Rogue Valley in 1964 from Downey, Calif., and purchased 80 acres on Highway 66, where they began breeding, raising and showing quarter horses at the C Bar H Ranch.
Mrs. Caughran enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of the Wranglers Horse Club of Ashland and the State of Jefferson Quarter Horse Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Zerger, Medford; a son, Larry R., Talent; a sister, Doreen Houston, Hemet, Calif.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Mildred M. Gilbert
Mildred Murray Gilbert, 72, of Ashland, died Jan. 28, 1999, at Ashland Community Hospital. Private interment will be in Sasser Cemetery, Cairo, Ga.
Miss Gilbert was born on Nov. 8, 1926, in Grady County, Ga.
She was a public librarian for most of her life. She also worked for the Department of the Army.
Survivors include two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Mock, and four brothers: Raymond Hansel Gilbert, Roscoe Gilbert, Herschel Gilbert and Roy Lee Gilbert.

Carl A. Perdue
The memorial service for Carl A. Perdue will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Ashland Elks Lodge No. 944, 255 E. Main St., Ashland. Family and friends will officiate. Interment will be in the Medford I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Mr. Perdue, 77, of Central Point, died Saturday (Jan. 30, 1999) in Central Point.
He was born Feb. 18, 1921, in El Reno, Okla. He moved to the Rogue Valley from El Reno in 1939, and lived in Ashland for 30 years before moving to Central Point four years ago.
In February 1956, in Medford, he married Loretta L. Winter, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Perdue was a heavy equipment operator for Jackson County for 34 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Golden City.
Mr. Perdue was a member of Ashland Elks Lodge, and the Eagles Lodge in Medford, where he was a member of the drill team.
He enjoyed dancing and working in the garden.
Survivors include his companion, Edith Roach, Central Point; a son, Jimmy, Oklahoma City; three daughters, Carol Ann Eloge, Brookings, Eunice Byrom, Bakersfield, Calif., and Carla Jean Ahamadi, Oklahoma City; a brother, Herb, North Bend; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Freddie; a sister, Edna Hudson; and five brothers, John, Jim, Charlie, Mark and Fred.

Beulah D. Myers
The memorial service for Beulah D. Myers will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Assembly of God, 3396 Ave. A, White City. Pastor Skip Day and Pastor Shane Wallis will officiate. A reception will follow at the church.
Mrs. Myers, 83, of Medford, died Friday (Jan. 29, 1999) at her home.

She was born Beulah D. Traver on Jan. 14, 1916, in Mitchell.
On May 25, 1935, in Prineville, she married Ersal Myers, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Myers worked for the Eagle Point School District in the laundry room.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, crocheting and traveling.
Survivors include two daughters, Patsy A. Guches, Medford, and Betty D. Nelsen, White City; two sons, Gene, Trail, and Donald Lee, Moses Lake, Wash.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Vernon Ray; and a great-grandchild, Jessica Lynn Hawley.

Charles E. Clark
The memorial service for Charles E. Clark will be at 3 p.m. today in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1360 N.E. Ninth St., Grants Pass.
Mr. Clark, 54, of Grants Pass, died Saturday (Jan. 30, 1999) at his home.
He was born March 26, 1944, in Hawthorne, Calif.
On March 27, 1965, in Las Vegas, he married Judith M. Fairburst, who survives. He moved to Grants Pass in 1995.
Mr. Clark was a truck driver for over 30 years, and took great pride in his work and his trucks.
He was an active member of A.A.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Kevin and Michael, both of Grants Pass; two daughters, Debra Doyle, Palmdale, Calif., and Robin Clark, Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Donna Pendley, Beaumont, Calif.; a brother, Gary Gross, Laguna Hills, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

Melvin Carl Boldenow
The memorial service for Melvin Carl Boldenow will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Corvallis. Pastor Pat Chuinard will officiate. A lunch will follow the service.
Mr. Boldenow, 84, of Corvallis, formerly of Medford, died Sunday (Jan. 31, 1999) in Albany, at the home of his granddaughter, Amber Johnson.

He was born Feb. 21, 1914, in Bloomfield, Neb. After graduation from Bloomfield High in Nebraska, he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps in the Black Hills of South Dakota and in Coquille.
In 1937, in Yankton, S.D., he married Helen Gross, who survives. He moved to Omaha, Neb., where he attended the University of Nebraska and received a bachelor's degree in education in 1938, and was selected all-conference in basketball. He then attended
the University of Oregon for a short time, before earning his master's degree in education from Oregon State College.
Mr. Boldenow was a teacher and a coach in Medford and St. Helens, as well as in Nebraska and Colorado. He taught 15 different subjects, and coached for 50 years. He spent 25 years teaching in Corvallis, and 20 years as a track coach. He was one of the few coaches in Oregon to receive an award from the Oregon Coaches Association for 50 years of service.
During the summers, he worked for the U.S. Forest Service at the Butte Falls Ranger District. Following his retirement, he spent another 10 years as an assistant coach in Eugene.
He was a member of the Benton County Sheriff's Posse, the National Educators Association, the Oregon Education Association and the Oregon Coaches Association. He also became a foster father for two young men.
Mr. Boldenow enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Bruce, Silver Lake, David, Tacoma, Wash., Jonathan, Palmer, Alaska; a brother, Gerald, Scappoose; a sister, Edna Leach, Denver; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
