Mable Robinson
The funeral service for Mable Robinson will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Conger-Morris Chapel. Interment will follow in Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford.
Mrs. Robinson, 91, of Medford, died Monday (Feb. 15, 1999) at her home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.
She was born Mable Crawford on Oct. 17, 1907, in Harrison, Ark.
On Sept. 24, 1921, in Harrison she married Millus L. Robinson, who preceded her in death.
She moved to the Rogue Valley from Harrison in 1929. Mrs. Robinson was a nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital, now Providence Medford Medical Center, for many years.
She enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Hampel, Medford; two sisters, Nina Crawford and Georgia Johnson, both of Harrison, Ariz.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Martha Lewis and Betty Daniken; a sister, Ava Einkoff; and a brother.
Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Thursday at Conger-Morris Chapel.
Carol Jane Griggs
Carol Jane Griggs, 62, of Grants Pass, died Sunday (Feb. 14, 1999) at her home. No services are planned.
She was born Carol Jane Mason on Jan. 1, 1937, in Sacramento, Calif.
On Dec. 28, 1955, in Reedsport, she married Arliss Griggs, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Nevada in 1992.
Mrs. Griggs was a homemaker.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Robert, Coos Bay; a daughter, Carol Hilliard, Montague, Calif.; a brother, Herbert Mason, Snowflake, Ariz.; two half-brothers, Bill and Dick Goyette; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to noon today at Central Valley Chapel, Central Point.
`Ethel' Mary Chaves
"Ethel" Mary Chaves, 80, of Lompoc, Calif., formerly of Shady Cove, died Feb. 5, 1999, at the Franciscan Manor Residential Care Center in Lompoc. No service is planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Manor Residential Care Center, 1420 W. North Ave., Lompoc, CA 93436.
She was born Mary Betts on April 17, 1918, in San Luis Obispo, Calif. She was raised and educated in the Fort Bragg area, and graduated from Lompoc High School. She moved to Shady Cove from Lompoc in 1980, and returned to Lompoc in 1998.
Mrs. Chaves was a member of the Lady Elks Auxiliary No. 2274.
She enjoyed sewing and needlework, working crosswords, and was an avid billiards player.
Survivors include two sons, Sherman and Ronald Hansen, both of Lompoc; a sister, Maybelle Flatt, Pittsburg, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos C. Chaves in 1998; and a daughter, Marylin Ann Howerton in 1958.

Kevin Lee Gentry
The graveside service for Kevin Lee Gentry will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Siskiyou Memorial Park, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford. The Rev. Stan Johnson of West Main Church of Christ will officiate.
Mr. Gentry, 37, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Medford, died Monday (Feb. 15, 1999) at his home.

Robert Swindler
The memorial service for Robert Swindler will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hillcrest Chapel.
Mr. Swindler, 67, of Medford, died Monday (Feb. 15, 1999) in Medford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical Free Church Sunday School VBS Fund, 1030 W.A. Barr Road, Mount Shasta, CA 96067.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1931, in Missouri. After moving to Gold Hill from Missouri 60 years ago, he settled in Medford.
On July 23, 1955, in Medford, he married Sonia Kristine Jorgensen, who survives.
Mr. Swindler worked for the Medford Fire Department for 30 years. He also owned and operated Robert Swindler Trucking for 20 years.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Swindler was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Medford.
He was a member of the International Association of Firefighters, the local and national Horseless Carriage Club and the Rogue Valley Old Timers Car Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Karen Claassen, Gold Hill, and Teri Ray, Mount Shasta, Calif.; a sister, Nadine Sprouse, Roseville, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Adams, in 1997.

Mary Jean `MJ' Wolf
Mary Jean "MJ" Wolf, 72, of Central Point, died Sunday (Feb. 14, 1999) at Medford Rehabilitation Center. No service is planned.

She was born on April 19, 1926, in Sheridan, Wyo. She moved to the Rogue Valley from San Francisco in 1991.
Ms. Wolf was an account executive in the broadcasting and advertising industry in the San Francisco area.
She volunteered with the Southern Oregon Humane Society.
Survivors include the family of Martin and Carolyn Robbins, Medford.

Jennifer A. Anderson
Jennifer Alley Anderson, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Medford, died Tuesday (Feb. 16, 1999) in Detroit. No service is planned.
She was born Dec. 30, 1960, in Santa Monica, Calif. After moving to Medford, she attended the West Side School and St. Mary's School.
Survivors include her husband, her parents, and her brothers.

`Bobby' Brown
The memorial service for Robert Lee "Bobby" Brown will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church, 987 Hillview Drive, Ashland.
Mr. Brown, 68, of Ashland, died Friday (Feb. 12, 1999) at his home.

He was born Dec. 4, 1930, in Nebraska City, Neb. He moved to Pinel House in Ashland in 1982.
Mr. Brown was employed since 1984 with Living Opportunities, where he worked for Gold River Distributors and Shop 'N Kart in Ashland for the last five years.
He attended Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church.
Mr. Brown was involved in the Special Olympics, bowling, track and field.
He enjoyed his model horse collection, camping, visiting the farm, and socializing.
Survivors include his housemates and the staff and friends of the Pinel House.

Charles H. Coffin
Charles H. Coffin, 80, of Ashland, died Friday (Feb. 12, 1999) at Linda Vista Care Center in Ashland. No service is planned.

He was born Aug. 14, 1918, in Downey, Idaho.
On June 10, 1947, he married Josephine Crawford, who survives.
Mr. Coffin was a 1936 graduate of Phoenix High School. He graduated from Southern Oregon College of Education, now Southern Oregon University, in 1941 and 1947, and received a degree in pharmacy from Oregon State University in 1954.
Mr. Coffin taught high school in Lakeview before entering the Army Air Corps in 1942. Following his release from military service, he taught high school in Talent.
In 1955, he and his wife opened Ideal Drug in Ashland, which they operated for 19 years, retiring in 1974.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Debbie Mobley, Talent, and Judie Snook, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, Gregory Charles, Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Elizabeth Weigold, Manteca, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
