Edith Elsie Weaver
Edith Elsie Weaver, 85, of Central Point, died Thursday (March 4, 1999) at Hearthstone. Private interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
She was born Edith Elsie Raymon on Feb. 18, 1914, in Casselton, N.D.
On April 15, 1952, in Alhambra, Calif., she married Robert T. Weaver, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1971 from Sunnyvale, Calif.
Mrs. Weaver was a licensed minister. She graduated from Life Bible College in Los Angeles.
She served as a recruiter in the U.S. Marine Corps in Georgia and Los Angeles.
Mrs. Weaver enjoyed camping and knitting.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Robert II, Central Point; a daughter, Florence Craft, Sacramento, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Conger-Morris Funeral Home in Medford.
William D. Shamberger
The memorial service for William D. Shamberger will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Episcopal Church, 44 N. Second St., Ashland.
Mr. Shamberger, 90, of Chico, Calif., formerly of Phoenix and Ashland, died Nov. 30, 1998, in Chico.
Arrangements: Sorensen's Affordable Mortuary, Chico.
Lee Ross
The chapel service for Lee Ross will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Stan Johnston of Church of Christ will officiate.
Mr. Ross, 71, of Shady Cove, died Tuesday (March 2, 1999) at his home.

He was born Aug. 16, 1927, in Phoenix, a son of Elzie Lester and Lucille (Linderman) Ross.
On June 15, 1947, in Marina, Calif., he married Donna L. Stucky, who survives. He moved to Shady Cove from Salinas, Calif., in 1991.
Mr. Ross was a construction mechanic for a frozen food plant in Salinas, retiring in 1985.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and bow hunting.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Pam Sassman, Shady Cove, Corinne Morgan, Prospect, and Sandra Coble, Salinas; a sister, Juanita Gourley, Santa Cruz, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel.
Ruth M. Kline
The memorial service for Ruth M. Kline will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Siskiyou Chapel, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford. The Rev. David Close of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Medford will officiate.
Mrs. Kline, of Medford, died Feb. 23, 1999, at a foster care home in Medford.

Roy A. Fairrington
The funeral service for Roy A. Fairrington will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Point Assembly of God in Central Point. Interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens in Grants Pass.
Mr. Fairrington, 89, of Springfield, formerly of Medford and Ashland, died Monday (March 1, 1999) in Springfield.

He was born April 6, 1909, in Santa Ana, Calif.
On June 11, 1988, in Springfield, he married Maude Boyd, who survives.
Mr. Fairrington worked in retail auto parts.
He was a board member and Sunday school teacher at Bethel Assembly of God.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, handyman work and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Daryl, Medford, Robert, Eagle Point, and Roy E., Lemoore, Calif.; a daughter, Dorothy Icenhower, Medford; three stepdaughters, Carlene Shrode, Seaside, Doris Morris, Springfield, and Irma McKinney, Pleasant
Hill; a stepson, Gene Boyd, Springfield; three brothers, Ralph, Auburn, Calif., John, Rocklin, Calif., and Francis, Hemet, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Leo Arthur Blair
Leo Arthur Blair, 73, of White City, died Friday (Feb. 26, 1999) at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary in White City. Graveside service was held Wednesday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 21, 1925, in Barton, Vt.
Mr. Blair served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952.
He enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include two sons, Mike, Roseville, Calif., and Patrick, Citrus Heights, Calif.

`Trudi' Whalen
The memorial service for Gertrude "Trudi" Whalen will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home. A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at the home of Marilynn O'Faolain, 514 Granite St., Ashland.
Mrs. Whalen, 80, of Ashland, died Monday (March 1, 1999) at Linda Vista Care Center in Ashland.
She was born Gertrude Davis on Dec. 13, 1918, in Seattle.
On Dec. 5, 1946, in Seattle, she married Joseph Whalen, who died in 1996.
Mrs. Whalen and her husband were campground hosts at Lake of the Woods in the early 1980s. She moved to Washington, then returned to Ashland in 1996.
She enjoyed nature, the mountains, swimming and rock collecting.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilynn O'Faolain, Ashland, and Mariann Whalen, Port Angeles, Wash.; a son, Steven, Olympia, Wash.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Cecil James Graves
Cecil James "Jim" Graves, 63, of White City, died Saturday (Feb. 27, 1999) at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary Infirmary in White City. A private service will be held in Santa Clara Church. Interment will be in Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura, Calif.
He was born Sept. 22, 1935, in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Santa Clara High School and the University of California at Santa Barbara. He lived in Oxnard, Calif., for 30 years, before moving to Grants Pass. He later moved to White City.
Mr. Graves was a psychiatric technician at Camarillo State Hospital in California and later became a probation officer for the state of California.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include a son, Derek Anthony, Alhambra, Calif.; a daughter, Sandra Simon, San Jose, Calif.; his mother, Charlotte Graves, Oxnard; a brother, John, Savanna, Okla; and three sisters, Judy Sawicki, Moline, Mich., Ginger Stocks, Oxnard, and Geri Sprinkles, Port Hueneme, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff.

Harley Harper
Harley Harper, 90, of Blaine, Wash., formerly of Central Point, died Friday (Feb. 26, 1999) in a nursing home in Blaine. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford.
He was born April 26, 1908, in Colburn, Colo., and was a longtime resident of the Rogue Valley.
Mr. Harper owned and operated Harley Harper Backhoe.
Survivors include his wife, Corrine, Blaine, Wash.; two sons, Chester and Richard; two daughters, Anne Marie Smith and Paula Brierley; a brother, Clarence; and a sister, Florence Kortlever.

Mary E. Kincaid
The cryptside service for Mary E. Kincaid will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Siskiyou Memorial Park. The Rev. Flo Bohnert will officiate.
Mrs. Kincaid, 87, of Medford, died Friday (Feb. 26, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Mary E. Hughes on Nov. 18, 1911, in McAllister, Mont.
On Dec. 26, 1929, in Yreka, Calif., she married Elton Kincaid, who preceded her in death. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Wendling, in Lane County, in 1945.
Mrs. Kincaid worked as a cook, a school bus driver and a custodian for Griffin Creek Elementary School. She also worked in day care.
Mrs. Kincaid belonged to the Unity Church and was a member of Pocahontas Council.
She enjoyed reading.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Johnson, Sitka, Alaska; two sisters, Martha Cofer, Albany, and Goldie Meyer, Springfield; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy J. Haertle; and a brother, George Hughes.
