Scott David Thomson
The funeral for Scott David Thomson will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Santa Clara Chapel, 3132 River Road, Eugene. The graveside service will follow at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. President Michael Farr of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate.
Mr. Thomson, 43, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 23, 1999) at his home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born April 22, 1955, in Eugene.
On May 11, 1986, in Reno, Nev., he married Tracey Mollet, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Eugene in 1995.
Mr. Thomson worked for Albertson's grocery chain for 27 years.
He enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, traveling and his children.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Jason, Ashland, Seth, Medford, and James, Eugene; two daughters, Whitney Thomson, Medford, and Sally Thomson, Eugene; his parents, Vernon and Eva Thomson, Eugene; a sister, Theresa Warren, Eugene;
and three brothers, Steve, Stan and Tom, all of Eugene.
Friends may pay their respects from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Siskiyou Chapel, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, or from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Santa Clara Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3132 River Road, Eugene.

Joseph Wesley Gordon
The graveside service for Joseph Wesley Gordon will be at 11 a.m. today at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Skip Day of the First Assembly of God church in White City will officiate.
Mr. Gordon, 75, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 23, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born March 8, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
On Feb. 12, 1977, in Glendale, N.Y., he married Anna G. Kratz, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley 12 years ago from New York.
Mr. Gordon was a long-haul truck driver for 25 years. He also worked for a short time in the oil fields.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Mr. Gordon enjoyed fishing, leather crafting and sports, particularly the Chicago Bulls.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son; five daughters; four stepdaughters; a sister, Irene Bernisteil, New Jersey; several grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson.

Philip J. McCormick
The memorial service for Philip James McCormick will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Grants Pass.
Mr. McCormick, 90, of Grants Pass, died Monday (March 22, 1999) at Three Rivers Community Hospital Dimmick Campus.
He was born Feb. 1, 1909, in Billings, Mont. He attended Oregon State College from 1929 to 1936.
On Jan. 11, 1992, in Talent, he married Margaret Jensen, who survives.
Mr. McCormick was in charge of internal security at Camp White, near Medford, from 1942 to 1944. He was plant superintendent and supervisor of outside packs of gift boxes at Harry and David-Bear Creek Orchards from 1944 to 1951. He worked for Pinnacle
Packing Co. in Medford from 1952 to 1953. He was superintendent of fruit packing and the plant at Reter Fruit Co. from 1954 until his retirement in 1979. He spent the winter of 1968 in Chile, assisting and supervising the Chilean government in erecting and operating a fruit packing plant.
He was a member of the Phoenix Grange and the Citizen Band Radio Club.
Mr. McCormick enjoyed fishing and traveling. Following his retirement, he spent most of his time traveling in a motor home.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mary Kay Falkenhagen, Fair Oaks, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Donald W. Walper
The graveside service for Donald W. Walper will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Walper, 71, of Rogue River, died Monday (March 22, 1999) at his home.

He was born June 29, 1927, in Pasadena, Calif.
On Oct. 30, 1947, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., he married Elizabeth Hasbrouck, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley 15 years ago from Pasadena.
Mr. Walper worked for E.L. Payne Heating and Refrigeration in Beverly Hills, Calif., until his retirement in 1983.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Walper was a member of Local 250 Refrigeration Pipefitters Union and the American Legion.
He enjoyed music and reading.
Survivors, in addition to his spouse, include four daughters, Linda K. Walper, Medford, Mary Ann Bass, Rogue River, Donalee E. Davie, Madera, Calif., and Laura M. Carpenter, Corona, Calif.; a son, Langdon P. Walper II, Hull, Mass.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Winston Walper II, in 1997.

Delton C. Goerke
Delton C. Goerke, 79, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 23, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Burr, Neb. He graduated from the University of Nebraska.
On Dec. 23, 1941, in Baton Rouge, La., he married Gladys Redding, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1981 from San Carlos, Calif.
Mr. Goerke was an FBI agent until joining United Airlines as a special investigator.
During World War II, he served as a fighter pilot in the South Pacific, stationed on Guadalcanal. He was a member of the mission that shot down Admiral Yamamoto, who oversaw the attack on Pearl Harbor.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing and his family.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Robert Stephen, Medford, and James Delton, Austin, Texas; a brother, Victor Gene Goerke, Scottsbluff, Neb.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard, in 1997.

Virginia F. Warner
The graveside service for Virginia Frances Warner will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Warner, of Gig Harbor, Wash., formerly of Eagle Point, died February 25, 1999, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma, Wash.
She was born Virginia Duplessis on June 30, 1923, in San Diego.
On April 22, 1943, in Las Vegas, she married Edward J. Warner, who died in 1987. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1977 from Long Beach, Calif. In 1998 she moved to Gig Harbor to be near family.
Mrs. Warner was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Michael E., Gig Harbor, Wash., Bruce C., Honolulu, and Edward K., Sparks, Nev.; two sisters, Cecilia Carter, Redding, Calif., and Doloris Shatzer, California; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanette and Vangeline; and a brother, Louis A. Duplessis.

Stella V. Reed
The funeral for Stella V. Reed will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Pastor Bob Friend of the Christian Church of Ashland will officiate. Private interment will be in Hill-Dunn Cemetery, Ashland.
Mrs. Reed, 99, of Ashland, died Sunday (March 21, 1999) at a Medford foster home.
She was born Stella Cromwell on April 4, 1899, in LaMar, Mo.
In 1915, in LaMar, she married Leland Reed, who died in 1964. She moved to Ashland in 1916 and lived in various places in Southern Oregon and Northern California.
Mrs. Reed was active in the Loaves and Fishes program and attended senior citizen programs.
She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering.
Survivors include three sons, Leonard F., Talent, Floyd E., Medford, and Otis C., Uncasville, Conn.; a daughter, Irene L. Lewis, Central Point; a sister, Vaughn Howard, Eagle Point; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by a son; two daughter; two grandsons; three sisters, and four brothers.

'Dottie' L. Lehman
Dorothy Lucille "Dottie" Lehman, 67, of Eagle Point, died of Shy-Drager syndrome Friday (March 20, 1999) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Dorothy McKay on Feb. 8, 1932, in Medford, a daughter of Ralph and Nora McKay. After a childhood spent in Copco, Calif., she graduated from Medford High School in 1949.
On Feb. 14, 1950, in Medford, she married Dwane Lehman, who survives. She lived for 46 years in the home they built in the Eagle Point area.
Mrs. Lehman was a homemaker until her children were teenagers, at which time she went to work as a cook at White City Elementary School. She later had a home day care.
She was a 4-H leader for 10 years.
Mrs. Lehman enjoyed gardening and canning, cross country skiing, camping and backpacking.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Steve, Trail, and Mike, Bremerton, Wash.; a daughter, Margie Westfall, Florence; a brother, Donald McKay, Milwaukie; and 12 grandchildren.
