Ray Casebeer
The memorial service for Ray Casebeer will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Family Christian Center, Medford. Pastor Arbee Freeman of Family Christian Center will officiate.
Mr. Casebeer, 85, of Ashland, died March 10, 1999 at Linda Vista Care Center.

He was born May 18, 1913, in Niles, Kansas. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Mineral Wells, Texas 24 years ago.
In Los Angeles, Mr. Casebeer worked for Douglas Aircraft and Hughes Aircraft. Following his move to the Rogue Valley, he worked at the Rogue Valley Medical Center until his retirement.
Mr. Casebeer served in the Nebraska National Guard.
He enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanetta M. Nipper, Medford; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta; and his stepson, Ray Rozales.

Shirley Jean Reese
The memorial service for Shirley Jean Reese will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Medford. Elder Philip Welklin of Medford Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate.
Ms. Reese, 61, of Medford, died March 17, 1999, in Medford.

She was born Shirley Harmon on June 16, 1937, in Blanca, Colo. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Colorado, and lived here most of her life.
Ms. Reese was a clerk for the State of Oregon.
She enjoyed singing and reading.
Survivors include her parents, Walter and Edna Harmon, Medford; a brother, George M. Meyer, Columbus, Ohio; and a sister, Juanita Dickerson, Rodeo, Calif.

Beverley E. Cleveland
The memorial service for Beverley Elaine Cleveland will be at 5 p.m. Saturday in Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home in Ashland. Pastor Don Baker of Ashland Christian Fellowship will officiate.
Mrs. Cleveland, 54, of Talent, died Wednesday (March 24, 1999) at her home.

She was born Beverley McMonigal on Feb. 10, 1945, in Orange County, Calif., a daughter of William and Shirley McMonigal. She was raised in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School in 1963.
On July 10, 1965, in Reno, Nev., she married Thomas Cleveland, who survives.
Mrs. Cleveland attended the Medford Beauty School, and worked as a beautician.
She was a member of the Jackson County Horseman's Association and the Ashland Wranglers.
Mrs. Cleveland enjoyed horseback riding, arts and crafts.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Jeff, Talent; her father, William McMonigal, Phoenix; three sisters, Candice McKinley, Phoenix, Debbie Hayes, Port Angeles, Wash., and Denise Ugulini, Tigard. She was preceded in death by a son, William Keith "Bill" Cleveland.

John David Billings
The memorial service for John David Billings will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford. Wayne Cowley of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Medford First Ward, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mr. Billings, 74, of Medford, died Wednesday (March 24, 1999) at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary.
He was born March 28, 1924, in Oakland, Calif.
On Aug. 10, 1961, in Reno, Nev., he married Margarette Linch, who died in 1986. He moved to the Rogue Valley from California in 1961.
Mr. Billings was a greenchain puller at sawmills in Fresno, Calif., and White Salmon, Wash. As a pear picker in Medford, his ability to pick eight bins of pears per day earned him the nickname "Speedball." He also worked for the Department of Transportation putting in retaining walls between Klamath Falls and Lakeview.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He enjoyed stream fishing, hiking and polka music.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda L. Tobiasson, Phoenix, and Roxanne; a son, David; a brother, Peter O., Torrance, Calif.; a sister, Diana Herring, Porterville, Calif., six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Clyde Dunn
Clyde Dunn, 76, of Medford, died Monday (March 22, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A service has been held. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

He was born Nov. 19, 1922, in Galena, Mo.
On Feb. 20, 1943, in Stone County, Mo., he married Martha Carney, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1948 from Cape Fair, Mo.
Mr. Dunn was an orchardist for Pinnacle Packing for 32 years.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter, auto mechanic and tinkerer.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Patricia Escalante, and Joyce Loper, both Medford; two sisters, Lorene Essary, and Leona Ellingsworth, both Missouri; and a brother, O.P. Buck Dunn, Central Point. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Elmer and Elvin Asher, and Claude and Eugene Dunn; a sister, Mary Ruth Dunn; and two grandchildren.

Donna Ryker Payne
Donna Ryker Payne, 55, of Jacksonville, died March 5, 1999, at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service is planned.
She was born Donna Oswalt on April 25, 1943, in Escondido, Calif. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1982.
In 1995, in Jacksonville, she married Stephen Payne, who survives.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Cynthia Jones, Medford, and Shelly Begovich, Escondido, Calif.; a son Shawn Ryker; two sisters, Dale A. Muir, Ann Arbor, Mich., and Diana Elliott, Nevada City, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Joseph L. Rehmer
Joseph L. Rehmer, 73, of Crow, Ore., formerly of Medford, died March 19, 1999, at his home. A memorial service was held on March 24 in Lane Memorial Chapel in Eugene. The Rev. Louis Rodakowski and Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiated.
He was born March 21, 1925, in Momence, Ill.
Mr. Rehmer was an electrician for Murray Electric of Roseburg. He also worked for several years at Steeck Electric.
He was a bombardier in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Angela, of Crow; a son, Stephen, Central Point; two daughters, Darla Junkers, Seattle, and Jolene Shute, Corvallis; a brother, Frank, Redmond; three sisters, Emily Peterson, Medford, Joanne Dewitt, Mesa, Ariz., and Mary Bennett, San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene.

Steven T. Snure
The memorial service for Steven T. Snure will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home in Ashland.
Mr. Snure, 50, of Ashland, died Tuesday (March 23, 1999) at his home.

He was born Aug. 22, 1948, in Minneapolis, Mo. He was raised and graduated from high school in Pasadena, Calif. He lived in Alaska for a year before moving to British Columbia, Canada, in 1973. He moved to Ashland in 1976.
On Feb. 22, 1986, in Ashland, he married Sarah Reed, who survives.
Mr. Snure was a custom home builder and owned and operated Snure Construction in Ashland.
He was a member of the Ashland High School Booster Club.
Mr. Snure enjoyed backpacking, camping, golf, and Ashland High School sports.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include four sons, Jeremy Snure and Zach Snure, both Mount Shasta, Calif., and Jeremy Reed and Jason Reed, both Eugene; three brothers, Frank, New Orleans, Doug, North Carolina, and Randy, Juno, Alaska; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Joe R. Chastain
Joe R. Chastain, 96, of Talent, died Tuesday (March 23, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned.
He was born Sept. 2, 1902, in Corning, Ark. He was raised in Arkansas and moved to Chiloquin in 1937. He moved to the Rogue Valley 32 years ago from Klamath Falls.
Mr. Chastain was a carpenter. For a short time he was a building inspector for the city of Central Point.
He enjoyed building doll furniture and fishing for crappie.
Survivors include a son, James, Klamath Falls; five daughters, Ardys Thomas, Medford, Pauline Connor, Klamath Falls, Joetta McCoy and Berdeen Morgan, both of Pinole, Calif., and Betty Jean Chastain, Nevada City, Nev.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline.
