Eleanor B. Hueter
The memorial service for Eleanor B. Hueter will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Siskiyou Chapel in Medford. Pastor Paul Hagedorn of Providence Chaplain Services will officiate.
Mrs. Hueter, 64, of Central Point, died Thursday (April 15, 1999) at her home.
She was born Eleanor Elliott on March 24, 1935, in Riverside, Calif.
On March 27, 1977, in Laguna Hills, Calif., she married Noble "Nobby" Hueter, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Tustin, Calif., in 1966.
Mrs. Hueter enjoyed gardening and yard sales.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Toni Lynn Goar, Talent, Gail Leigh Bradley, Central Point, and Kathleen Rose Thomas, Orange, Calif.; a son, Mark Robert Goar, Orange, Calif.; six stepchildren; and 19 grandchildren.

Clarice Evernham
The memorial service for Clarice E. Evernham will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday (April 21, 1999) at First Presbyterian Church in Central Point. The Rev. Dwayne Brown of First Presbyterian will officiate.
Mrs. Evernham, 91, died Wednesday (April 14, 1999) in Medford.
She was born Clarice Easton on Jan. 14, 1908, in Ida Grove, Iowa.
On Dec. 21, 1935, she married Furman Evernham, who died in 1993.
She earned a teaching credential in 1929 and taught school until her marriage. The couple moved to Medford in 1937, to California in 1963 and back to Medford in 1991.
Mrs. Evernham was a lifetime member of Eastern Star chapters in Central Point and Jacksonville.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Schofield, Eagle Point, and Janice Bowman, Peoria, Ariz.; a son, Dean Evernham, Eagle Point; a brother, Herbert Russell Easton, Hemet, Calif.; a sister, Florence Fowler, Mesa, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John W. Horner
John William Horner, 93, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday (April 14, 1999) at his home. No service is planned.
He was born March 8, 1906, in Ventura, Calif.
On Aug. 8, 1963, in Medford, he married Margaret A. Bolt, who died in 1998.
Mr. Horner moved to Southern Oregon from Ventura in 1948. He worked as an electrical contractor in California and Mexico and as a rancher in Southern Oregon.
He was a member of the Oregon Cattleman's Association and enjoyed horseback riding and fishing.
Survivors include a stepson, Donald K. Denman, Medford; two stepdaughters, Margaret Ann Hultgren, Fair Oaks, Calif., and Carol L. Holst, Placentia, Calif.; and a sister, Josephine Rogers, of Ventura, Calif.
His first wife, Winifred Horner, died in 1962.
Robert L. Dill
The memorial service for Robert L. Dill will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Presbyterian Church in Medford. The Rev. Joyce DeGraaff of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Mr. Dill, 87, of Medford, died Thursday (April 15, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born May 27, 1911, in Eugene. He was raised in Lawrence, Kans., and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1934.
On Aug. 28, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he married Mary E. Hughes, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Albany in 1961.
Mr. Dill was an executive with the Boy Scouts of America for six years in Washington and Oregon. He also worked for Pacific NW Bell for 34 years, retiring on May 31, 1976.
In Albany, he was the superintendent of the church school for nine years. In Medford, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Medford. He was a church school teacher in both Albany and Medford.
Mr. Dill was a member and past president of the Telephone Pioneers Association, the Rogue Valley Knife and Fork Club, and past president of the Albany Lions Club, and St. John's Lodge No. 417 A.F. & A.M. in Albany.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, David W., Portland; a daughter, Susan D. Wilson, Arlington, Va.; a brother, William J., St. Louis, Mo.; and one grandson.

Eva Eileen Briggs
Eva Eileen Briggs, 87, of Eagle Point, formerly of Springfield, died Friday (April 16, 1999) in Eagle Point. No service is planned.

She was born Eva Eileen Devine on Oct. 1, 1911, in Bassano, Alberta, Canada.
On Jan. 25, 1931, she married Reynold M. Briggs, who died in 1995. She moved to the Rogue Valley five months ago from Springfield.
Mrs. Briggs was a homemaker.
She enjoyed camping and fishing.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Harris, Central Point; a son, Buster W., Springfield; a sister, Mildred William, Blue River; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, John and Will; and three sisters, Hazel, Pearl and Myrt.

Ovie Lee Perkins
The funeral for Ovie Lee Perkins will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland. The Revs. Dan Easlon, George Irvin and Bruce Pearson will officiate. The graveside service will follow at Scenic Hills Memorial Park.
Mr. Perkins, 84, of Talent, died Wednesday (April 14, 1999) at his home.

He was born March 22, 1915, in Lexington, Ky.
On July 8, 1937, in Norman, Okla., he married Hazel Soules, who survives.
Mr. Perkins worked for the WCTU Railroad in White City from 1969 to 1980. Before that, he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad in Cottage Grove.
He was a deacon and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland.
Mr. Perkins enjoyed gardening, flowers, camping and fishing.
He recently became the great-grandfather of triplets.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Kaye Maheu, Talent; two sons, Troy, Des Moines, Wash., and James, Cottage Grove; three sisters, Maudie Cingcade, Red Bluff, Calif., Dixie Faye Alexander, Redding, Calif., and CrisStella Pence, Greenville, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, John Wayne Perkins and Howard Ray Perkins; five brothers, Tom, George, Earl, Jack and Bill Perkins; and a sister, Ann Orr.
Friends may pay their respects from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ashland Funeral Care, 1701 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.
Alvin R. Winchester
The graveside service for Alvin R. Winchester will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Rev. Stan Johnson of West Main Church of Christ will officiate.
Mr. Winchester, 76, of Central Point, died Tuesday (April 13, 1999) at his home.
He was born July 15, 1922, in St. Jo, Texas.
On Oct. 5, 1940, in Phoenix, Ariz., he married Dorothy Nevins, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1973 from Palmdale, Calif.
Mr. Winchester served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a fireman first class.
He enjoyed bird-watching.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Eldena Coon, Central Point; two sisters, Bonnie Gore, Mesquite, Texas, and Myrtle Bilbrey, Las Vegas; a brother, Elva, of Arkansas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

Dorothy A. Bertram
The memorial service for Dorothy Amelia Bertram will be at 1 p.m. Friday at New Life Center, 2080 N. 19th St., Springfield.
Mrs. Bertram, 75, of Central Point, died Thursday (April 15, 1999) at Medford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Sturgeon, Central Point, and Nonda Lewis, Springfield; a son, Clyde Ross, San Jose, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
