Jack Woodward
Jack Woodward, 84, of Phoenix, died Friday (April 23, 1999) in Medford. No service is planned.

He was born Oct. 19, 1914, in Salida, Colo. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1937. He received a master's degree in education from the University of Colorado in 1947.
On Dec. 25, 1965, in San Carlos, Calif., he married Louise Mealey, who died in 1991.
Mr. Woodward taught and coached in Colorado and Wyoming high schools. He worked at Phoenix High Schoolfor 26 years; the high school football stadium is named after him.
Survivors include two stepsons, Michael Mealey, White City, and David Mealey; three stepdaughters, Barbara Nelson, Shannon Dean, and Shirley Adams; and a sister, Geneva McJunkin, Pendleton.

Tabitha Ashley Sartin
The memorial service for Tabitha Ashley Sartin will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Table Rock Church of Christ, 5255 Table Rock Road. Pastor Carlos Pena of Table Rock Church of Christ will officiate.
Tabitha, 16, of Gold Hill, died Wednesday (April 21, 1999) in an auto accident on Rock Creek Road.
She was born Feb. 28, 1983, in Ashland, and was a lifetime resident of the Rogue Valley.
Tabitha attended Crater High School.
She enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Survivors include her parents, Curtis and Deborah Sartin, Gold Hill; two sisters, Barbara Sartin, Gold Hill, and Amanda Duke, Central Point; maternal grandparents, David and Ruth Harper, Central Point; paternal grandmother, Pamela Sartin, Central Point; and great-grandfather, James W. Harper, Central Point.

F. Marie Arney
The memorial service for F. Marie Arney will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Order of the Eastern Star, Alpha Chapter No. 1 will officiate. Private inurnment will be in the Chapel of Reflections Columbarium, Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.
Mrs. Arney, 88, of Ashland, died April 14, 1999, at her home.

She was born F. Marie Boor on June 12, 1910, in Fruitland, Idaho. She graduated from high school in Ontario.
On Nov. 24, 1930, in Vale, she married G. Harold Arney, who died in 1991.
Mrs. Arney moved to Ashland in 1945, where she and her husband owned and operated meat markets, including the Boulevard Meat Market and Hamby's Grocery.
Mrs. Arney also worked at First Interstate Bank, retiring after 20 years of service.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Alpha Chapter No. 1, and the Rebekah Lodge in Jacksonville.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Hall, Lakeview; a brother, Howard D. Boor, Boise, Idaho; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

`Bill' Travis Chaney
The memorial service for William "Bill" Travis Chaney will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Doug Pittman will officiate.
Mr. Chaney, 71, of Medford, died Monday (April 19, 1999) at his home.

He was born July 7, 1927, in Chickasha, Okla.
On March 29, 1947, in Henrietta, Texas, he married Wilma Jean Haywood, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1964.
Mr. Chaney was a mill worker.
He enjoyed camping and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Tom, Medford; two daughters, Pam Chaney and Brenda Viaene, both Medford; a brother, Milton, Medford; a sister, Nona Burns, Whittier, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Inez Lucille Wood
Inez Lucille Wood, 82, of Medford, died Thursday (April 22, 1999) in Medford.

She was born Inez Pheal on Sept. 8, 1916, in Salem.
On July 19, 1937, in Reno, Nev., she married Harold E. Wood, who preceded her in death. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1952.
Mrs. Wood was a truck driver for Austin King Trucking in Medford for 20 years.
She enjoyed riding double with her daughter on her Harley.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Herrs, Central Point; a sister, Evelyn Anderson, Vallejo, Calif.; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Evelyn Jean Gysin
The cryptside service for Evelyn Jean Gysin will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pastor James Feeney of Medford Christian Center will officiate. A celebration of life will follow at the family ranch.
Mrs. Gysin, 79, of Medford, died Thursday (April 22, 1999) at her home.

She was born Evelyn Peterposten on April 2, 1920, in Galt, Calif. She graduated from Alturas High School in California.
On Dec. 31, 1939, in Reno, Nev., she married Oscar J. Gysin, who died in 1985. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Alturas, Calif., in 1940.
Mrs. Gysin and her husband owned and operated a ranch on Coal Mine Road from 1947 to 1998.
She was a member of the Cattleman's Association, and the Phoenix Grange for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Gysin enjoyed bingo and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Ralph D., Medford; a daughter, Bobbie Jorde, Salem; two sisters, Irene Copeland, Paradise, Calif., and Elsie Streif, Sacramento, Calif.; a brother, William Peterposten, Reno, Nev.; and two grandsons.

Edward B. Henselman
Edward Bruce Henselman, 81, of Placerville, formerly of Medford, died Wednesday (April 21, 1999) in Placerville. Private interment will take place in Siskiyou Memorial Cemetery in Medford.
He was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Medford, a son of Edward G. and May O. (Curry) Henselman. He lived in Medford until World War II, at which time he joined the military. He lived in El Dorado County for 15 years.
Mr. Henselman was a truck driver for McDonnell-Douglas for 10 years. He also worked in shipyards in Portland.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Rich, Sacramento, and Diane Lewis, South Lake Tahoe; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Neal T. Durham
Neal T. Durham, 87, of Medford, died Thursday (April 22, 1999) in Medford. No service is planned.

He was born Jan. 21, 1912, in Oklahoma.
On Jan. 11, 1932, in Safford, Ariz., he married Verlin Estelle McNatt, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley eight years ago from California.
Mr. Duham was a truck driver. He also restored furniture and repaired lawn mowers.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Lelia A. Babb, Medford, and Verlin L. Cullun, Central Point; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Jane H. Miller
Jane H. Miller, 93, of Ashland, died Tuesday (April 20, 1999) at her home. The graveside service and interment will be in Montefiore Cemetery, Springfield Garden, N.Y.

She was born Jane Delatitsky on Feb. 20, 1906, in Russia.
Mrs. Miller was a retired elementary school teacher. She lived in Ashland for more than 20 years.
Survivors include a son, Frank M., Seattle; a brother, Martin Henkin, Lynbrook, N.Y.; and a sister, Helen Pinsky, Riverdale, N.Y.
