Paul E. `Paulie' Prozy
The memorial service for Paul Edwin "Paulie" Prozy will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16, in the pavilion of the Grants Pass Golf Club.
Mr. Prozy, 42, of Grants Pass, died April 26, 1999, at Three Rivers Hospital, Washington Campus.

He was born Sept. 2, 1956, in Salem, Ohio.
On Sept. 26, 1987, in Northridge, Calif., he married Stacy McRobert, who survives.
Mr. Prozy was a finish carpenter. Although he was on dialysis for the past 16 years, he continued his carpentry work.
Mr. Prozy initiated the first Southern Oregon Cadillac Invitational Golf Tournament for the National Kidney Foundation and was responsible for starting fund-raisers for the Redwood Dialysis Patient Trust Fund.
He was a member of both the Illinois Valley and the Grants Pass golf clubs. An avid golfer, he was the Illinois Valley club champion for two years. For four years he played in the Oregon Tour of Champions. He also assisted with the Hidden Valley High School golf team.
He enjoyed traveling, especially along the coast, and his family.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Pierce E., Grants Pass, and Paul M. and Scott A., both of Campbell, Ohio; his mother, Eileen Akers, Grants Pass; two sisters, Theresa Ewan, Williams, and Mary Jane Van Auker, North Jackson, Ohio; and a brother Frank, Lake Milton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul H. Prozy, on March 16 this year.

Florence R. Bacchetti
Florence Rose Bacchetti, 89, of Medford, died Saturday (May 1, 1999) at Hearthstone in Medford. No local service is planned. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Coloma, Calif.

She was born Florence Buono on Feb. 10, 1910, in Cannonsburg, Pa.
On Aug. 13, 1938, in San Mateo, Calif., she married Bert Bacchetti, who preceded her in death. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1989.
Mrs. Bacchetti was a seamstress and clerk in the dry cleaning industry.
She was past president and vice-president of the Catholic-Italian Federation in San Mateo, Calif.
Mrs. Bacchetti enjoyed Italian cooking.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Britton, Medford; three brothers, "Lucky" Avanti, Santa Clara, Calif., Fred Buono, Philadelphia, and John Buono, Turnerville, N.J.; four sisters, Philimana Roberts, Turnerville, N.J., Rose Marcotte, Santa Clara, Calif., Josephine Cartwright, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Julie Milano, Redley, Pa.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Buono; and a sister, Palma Liotini.

Mira Anderson
The memorial graveside service for Mira Anderson will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Pastor John Braund of the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenix will officiate.
Mrs. Anderson, 79, of Phoenix, died Thursday (April 29, 1999) at her home.

She was born Mira Berry on Aug. 14, 1919, in Los Angeles.
On June 11, 1938, in Los Angeles, she married Charles Anderson, who preceded her in death. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Southern California in 1978.
Mrs. Anderson was a Christian and a homemaker.
She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and playing cards.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Bowers, Junction City; a sister, Amy Gaynor of California; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Chuck.

Grace M. Walker
The graveside service for Grace Margaret Walker will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford. Jim Larsen of Rogue Valley Christian Church will officiate.
Mrs. Walker, 98, of Medford, died Friday (April 30, 1999) at the Medford Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Sept. 5, 1900 in Lockridge, Iowa. In 1920 in Iowa, she married Henry R. Walker, who died in 1959.
The couple moved to the Rogue Valley from Iowa 63 year ago.
Mrs. Walker was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling and some gardening.
She was a member of the Medford Senior Center and the First Methodist Church in Medford.
Survivors include three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Warren Walker; a brother, Clair Lynn; and one great-granddaughter.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel.

Gilbert Hoppe
The memorial service for Gilbert Ray Hoppe will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Butte Falls Community Bible Church in Butte Falls. The Revs. John Adams and Steve Harvey of Butte Falls Assembly Church will officiate. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Hoppe, 76, of Butte Falls, died Thursday (April 29, 1999) at the Central Point home of his step-daughter.

Mr. Hoppe was born April 20, 1923 in Dexter, N.M., and raised in Southern California. He moved to Oregon in 1945.
He was married to Lois McBreen of Portland, who survives. They later divorced.
In June 1954, in Stevenson, Wash., he married Ethel Lorene Geppert Brown, who survives.
Mr. Hoppe served in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in the South Pacific and New Guinea.
A carpenter all his life, Mr. Hoppe taught carpentry at the Curlew Job Corps Center in Washington for 12 years. He moved to Butte Falls after retiring from the Job Corps.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Robert Bruce, Portland, Raymond Paul, Orchard, Wash., and Gilbert Ray Jr., Coos Bay; a stepson, Melvin Bowen, Butte Falls; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Waterbury, Central Point, and Judy Rambo, Washugel, Wash.; two sisters, Freda Hooper, Upland, Calif., and Marie Johnson, Ontario, Calif.; one brother, Frederick Ted Hoppe, Portland; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Fred Roland, and a sister, Lela Mae Hurd.

Woodrow L. Hanson
The memorial service for Woodrow L. "Woody" Hanson will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Ashland. The Rev. Scott Delgarno will officiate.
Mr. Hanson, 80, of Ashland, died Saturday (May 1, 1999) at Ashland Community Hospital.

Mr. Hanson was born Aug. 17, 1918 in Virginia, Minn. He graduated from high school in 1936 as an honor student.
In 1949, he graduated with honors from Michigan Technological University, with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He was a member of Eta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi fraternities.
On Dec. 22, 1943, in Keewatin, Minn., he married Amy Shirley Knudson, who survives.
During World War II, Mr. Hanson served in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Mr. Hanson retired as a regional sales manager for the McGraw-Edison Corp. in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Ashland in 1984.
He was active in the Masonic Lodge, the Elks Lodge and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. He was a sexton with the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Thomas, Garberville, Calif.; two daughters, Pamela Hanson, Garberville, and Margo Olsen, Pleasanton, Calif.; a brother, Warren, Antioch, Calif.; a sister, Evelyn Witmer, Naperville, Ill.; a stepbrother, John Knudson,
Hibbing, Minn.; and one granddaughter.

Byron `Y.T.' Craven
A gathering of friends and family for Byron "Y.T." Craven will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at 38 South Shasta in Eagle Point.
Mr. Craven, 67, of Gold Hill, died Wednesday (April 28, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

Betty Lou Findley
The memorial service for Betty Lou Findley will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Central Point Church of Christ. The Rev. Carlos Pena of Central Point Church of Christ will officiate.
Ms. Findley, 68, of Medford, died Friday (April 30, 1999) in Medford.
She was born Betty Lenherr in Prospect.
Ms. Findley was a member of the Central Point Church of Christ.
She enjoyed her family and watching movies.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Clinton, Medford, and Katherine Erceg, Olympia, Wash.; a son, Michael Morton, Medford; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
