Robert A. Burk
The graveside service for Robert A. Burk will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Willow Creek Mennonite Cemetery in Paso Robles, Calif.
Mr. Burk, 71, of Eagle Point, died Sunday (May 16, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born on July 10, 1927, in Templeton, Calif.
On April 30, 1944, in Paso Robles, he married Kathryn Dyck, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Burk was a farmer from the time he was 8 years old.
Survivors include five daughters, Margaret Jackson and Roberta Hawkins, both Eagle Point, Janet Wilson, Vancouver, Wash., Lucille Burk, Paso Robles, and Sonja Waagner, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, Robert, White City; two brothers, Stan, Templeton, Calif.,
and Donald, Boise, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

James Louis Duncan
James Louis Duncan, 84, of Medford, died May 11, 1999, at Providence Medford Medical Center.
Among his survivors are 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James Louis Duncan Jr., in January, 1999.

Carl Norman Pound
Carl Norman Pound, 84, of Medford, died Friday (May 14, 1999) at his home. No service is planned.
He was born May 14, 1915, in Camas, Wash.
In 1990, in Medford, he married Betty Henriksen, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley several years ago from Sutherlin.
Mr. Pound was a retired master mechanic.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a shipfitter second class.
Mr. Pound was a Seventh-day Adventist.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Erma Marty, Palm Springs, Calif.

Charles D. Bennett
The memorial service for Charles D. Bennett will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the recreation center at Idle Wheels Mobile Home Park, 2252 Table Rock Road, Medford. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday in The Dalles.
Mr. Bennett, 78, of Medford, died Thursday (May 13, 1999) near Diamond Lake in Douglas County.

He was born Oct. 9, 1920, in Lebanon. He attended school in Lebanon and graduated from Cascade Locks High School in 1938.
On March 16, 1940, in Vancouver, Wash., he married Norva Jenkins, who died in 1988. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1961.
Mr. Bennett was a truck driver for 42 years. He retired after 35 years of service with Consolidated Freightways.
He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 319; the Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association, Chapter 9; the Medford Eagles; and the Medford Moose Lodge.
Mr. Bennett served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, James D., Vancouver, Wash., and Edward C., Spokane, Wash.; a daughter, Patricia R. Phillips, The Dalles; three sisters, Faye Brehm, Leavenworth, Wash., Betty Lou Wilkins, Eureka, Calif., and Maxine Carlson, Garibaldi; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.

Florence E. Sanders
The graveside service for Florence E. Sanders will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Chaplain Services will officiate.
Mrs. Sanders, 83, of Medford, died Friday (May 14, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Care Center.
She was born Florence Thompson on March 10, 1916, in Seneca, S.D.
On Sept. 3, 1946, in Bellingham, Wash., she married J.V. Sanders, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Spokane, Wash., in 1990.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Gary, Medford; two sisters, Etta Jean Brooks, Medical Lake, Wash., and Verna Calhoun, Grass Valley, Calif.; a brother, Kenneth Thompson, Bellingham, Wash.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Siskiyou Chapel, Medford.

Frank DeSimone
The funeral Mass for Frank DeSimone will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford. The Rev. Henry McDaid will officiate. Interment will follow at Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford.
Mr. DeSimone, 55, of Medford, died Friday (May 14, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Los Angeles.
On March 24, 1979, in Birmingham, Ala., he married Patricia Virgona, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley 28 years ago from Alhambra, Calif.
Mr. DeSimone was a trial attorney.
He served in the Air Force Reserve.
Mr. DeSimone enjoyed his family and playing golf.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Leon and Anthony, both Medford; his mother, Marion DeSimone, Alhambra, Calif.; and a brother, Ross DeSimone, Alhambra.

`Judi' Helen Waterman
The memorial service for Judith "Judi" Helen Waterman will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Central Valley Chapel. Pastor Lance Lovlin of the First Assembly of God in Medford will officiate.
Mrs. Waterman, 54, of Central Point, died Sunday (May 16, 1999) at her home.

She was born Judith Morrow on Dec. 4, 1944, in Burbank, Calif.
On Nov. 6, 1964, in Van Nuys, Calif., she married James E. Waterman, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley from California in 1964.
Mrs. Waterman was active in 4-H, the Appaloosa horse club and Little League. She was a member of the Providence Guild, and the Providence water aerobics group. In 1985 she was selected Volunteer of the Year by the Providence Guild.
She enjoyed camping and traveling and was a member of the Contemporary Autos of Southern Oregon Car Club of Medford.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Steve, Central Point; four daughters, Lori Waterman, Central Point, Lisa Cochran, Eagle Point, and Debbie Waterman and Karen Murphy, both Bakersfield, Calif.; her mother, Norma Morrow, Chicago Park, Calif.; two sisters, Jill Willauer, West Hills, Calif., and Doris Fellows, Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Jon Morrow, Lancaster, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Gail Morrow.

Robert Glenn Frank
The graveside service for Robert Glenn Frank will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Rev. John Braund of First Presbyterian Church of Phoenix will officiate.
Mr. Frank, 71, of Medford, died Friday (May 14, 1999) at his home.

He was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
On Jan. 31, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Beverly Dooney, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War as a gunner's mate, third class.
Mr. Frank owned and operated Ritz Curtain and Blanket Cleaners in Los Angeles, Calif., prior to retiring in 1989.
The Franks moved to the Rogue Valley in 1992 from West Covina, Calif.
Mr. Frank was a member of the Elks Lodge in West Covina and the Eagles Lodge in Medford. He enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Robert E., Medford, Larry, Applegate, and Dick Allen, Medford; two daughters, Kitty White, Ramona, Calif., and Connie Abell, Crescent City, Calif.; a brother, Jack, of Lake Isabelle, Calif.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
