Harriet D. Walden
The memorial service for Harriet Dorothy Walden will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5, in Jerome Prairie Community Church in Grants Pass. Pastor Wayne McMillian, retired, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Wilderville Pioneer Cemetery.
Mrs. Walden, 84, of Oak Harbor, Wash., formerly of Grants Pass, died Friday (May 21, 1999) following an extended illness.

She was born Harriet Woodward on Nov. 19, 1914, in Paisley. She moved to Grants Pass when she was 10. She graduated from high school in Grants Pass. After attending Merritt's School of Business in Medford, she worked as a secretary for a roofing company.
She was also a nurse's aide at Josephine County General Hospital for many years.
On Oct. 27, 1932, she married James F. Walden, who died in 1991. In 1994, she moved to Whidbey Island, Wash.
Survivors include three sons, James E., Eagle Point, Theodore L., Wasilla, Alaska, and Jerold A., Portland; a daughter, Jeanette Irene Cox, Oak Harbor, Wash.; a brother, Keith E. Woodward, Grants Pass; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cindy Kay Cox, in 1990; and a great-granddaughter, Chelsie Rider, in 1984.

Tanya Marshell Long
Tanya Marshell Long, 34, of Ashland, died Friday (May 21, 1999) at Ashland Community Hospital. A private service was held.
She was born Tanya Clarke on June 9, 1964, in McRae, Ga.
On Dec. 24, 1991, in Griffin, Ga., she married Tracy Long, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1998 from Griffin, Ga.
Mrs. Long was a computer technician in Georgia.
She enjoyed arts and crafts.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Derrick Fernander, and a daughter, Blair Fernander, both of Griffin; her father, Herman Clarke, Tyrone, Ga,; her mother, Nellie Oliver, High Falls, Ga.; a brother, Terry Clarke, in Georgia; and a sister, Trina Clarke Albright, Peachtree City, Ga.

Renee A. Brown
Renee Annette Brown, 61, of Rogue River, died Thursday (May 20, 1999) at her home. A private service was held.
She was born Renee Cunningham on July 22, 1937, in Salt Lake City. She moved to the Rogue Valley 10 years ago from Salt Lake City.
Mrs. Brown was an artist. She specialized in oil painting, needlepoint and crewel tapestry.
She enjoyed art, gardening and literature.
Survivors include her companion, John Tanner, Rogue River; three daughters, Johnnette Tanner and Renon Tanner, both Grants Pass, and Roberta Sanford; two sons, Shawn and Charles Sanford; her mother, Ella Cunningham, Salt Lake City; three brothers, David and Dennis Cunningham, both Salt Lake City, and Bruce Cunningham; three sisters, Tona Cunningham, in Arizona, Yvonne Schnebel, in Florida, and Cynthia Cunningham, in Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Brown, in 1997.

Lenora O. Sibley
The graveside service for Lenora Olevia Sibley will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Sibley, 91, of Medford, died Friday (May 21, 1999) in Eagle Point.
She was born Lenora Grogan on June 18, 1907, in Yates Center, Kan.
On Jan. 29, 1927, in Wichita, Kan., she married Elijah Ray Sibley, who died in 1988. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Park Rapids, Minn., in 1986.
Mrs. Sibley was a warrant clerk for the Nebraska Auditor's Office.
She enjoyed crocheting, dancing and gardening.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet Rae Hoover and Sandra Dee Knutson, both Medford; a son, Clifford Dale Sibley, Lincoln, Neb.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Herbert and Robert Grogan.

Albin G. Tucker
The graveside service for Albin Gerald Tucker will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville.
Mr. Tucker, 67, of Prineville, formerly of Medford, died Thursday (May 20, 1999) at his home.

He was born June 21, 1932, in Seminole, Okla. He lived in California, Texas, Medford and Prineville before moving to Carson City, Nev., and then returning to Prineville.
Mr. Tucker owned A.G. Tucker & Darrell Tucker Construction in Prineville since 1995. In Carson City, he owned Tucker Steps for nine years.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Eagle Lodge.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening woodworking and playing pool.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Tucker, Prineville; four sons, Darrell, Prineville, Harold "Tuck," Sisters, Robert Gerald, Falls River Mills, Calif., and Kenneth Ray, Long Beach, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Michelle Davis, Carson City, Nev.; three sisters, Ima Jean McCoy and Judy Adams, both Prineville, and Darlene Ford, Phoenix, Ariz.; six brothers, Bill, Central Point, Tom, John Day, Ned, Coweta, Okla., Frank, Phoenix, Ariz., and Ronald and Larry, both Prineville; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel.
Friends may pay their respects from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Whispering Pines Funeral Home, 185 E. Fourth St., Prineville.
Masel M. Martin
The funeral for Masel M. Martin will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Asbury Methodist Church in Eugene. The Rev. Howard DeVore will officiate. The graveside service will follow at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene.
Mrs. Martin, 88, of Medford, died Thursday (May 20, 1999) in Medford.

She was born Masel Brown on Oct. 22, 1910, in Hornick, Iowa.
On Sept. 1, 1929, in Seneca, Kan., she married Alwyn Austin "Jim" Martin, who survives. She moved to Eugene from Iowa in 1956 and to Medford in 1992.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a charter member of the Asbury Methodist Church in Eugene and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Medford.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include four daughters, Masel Meinhardt and Kay Drew, both Medford, Dwan Carter, Des Moines, Iowa, and Cheryl Carter, Milwaukie; two sons, A. Lynn, Adelaide, S. Australia; and Jerry, Bellevue, Wash.; a sister, Verna Phelps, Montrose, Colo.; a brother, George Brown,, Holstein, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

George G. Ashbaugh
The memorial service for George Garnett Ashbaugh will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford. Pastor Rick Cohen of Applegate Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville will officiate.
Mr. Ashbaugh, 72, of Roseburg, formerly of Medford, died Sunday (May 16, 1999) at Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg.

He was born July 14, 1926, in Vancouver, Wash. He was a bull rider with the rodeo circuit.
Following a divorce from his first wife, Joy, he married Ruth Tichenor in 1966. She preceded him in death in 1978.
Mr. Ashbaugh owned and operated the Tally-Ho Restaurant and Lounge in Talent. After a move to Coos Bay, he owned and operated the Balboa Club for seven years. In Gold Beach, he owned and operated the Arcade, a restaurant and bar, for 10 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Gold Beach Post 4439.
Mr. Ashbaugh was a member of Eagles Lodge 3699 in Gold Beach, Moose Lodge 171 in Corvallis and the Ashland Elks Lodge 944.
He enjoyed woodworking, making furniture and cooking.
Survivors include two daughters, Jody Hawk, Central Point, and Jeanette Sinclair, Coos Bay; a son, Jay Wright, Port Orford; a brother, Lowell Ashbaugh, Portland; a sister, Lois Redding, Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Dana, in 1992.

Janet Mary Nevin
The memorial Mass of Resurrection for Janet Mary Nevin will be at 11 a.m. today at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in North Bend. The Rev. Karl Schray will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Mrs. Nevin, 62, of Coos Bay, formerly of Grants Pass, died Tuesday (May 18, 1999) in Coos Bay.

She was born Janet Kirk on June 2, 1936, in Nutley, N.J.
In 1957, in Southern California, she married Lawrence Donovan Nevin, who died in 1981. They moved to Grants Pass in 1968 from California and to North Bend three years later.
Mrs. Nevin owned and operated Trillium Farms boarding stable in Coos Bay. Before that she was a secretary at North Bend Junior High School and Bay Area Hospital, from which she retired.
She enjoyed working with and around horses.
Survivors include her fiance, Rex Martin, Coos Bay; a son, Michael, Coos Bay; three daughters, Mary, Prineville, Katherine, North Bend, and Barbara, Gold Hill; a sister, Barbara Heath, Cottonwood, Ariz.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Anne Nevin, in 1992.
