Alvin J. Frilot
A funeral service for Alvin Joseph Frilot will be held Tuesday at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. Frilot, 85, of Applegate, died Thursday (June 17, 1999) at the Providence Medford Medical Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ruch Community Church, 190 Applegate Road, Jacksonville, OR., 97530.
He was born April 12, 1914 in Lafayette, LA. Mr. Frilot was a construction worker for 46 years before retiring. He enjoyed building cabinets and doing any sort of work with wood. He enjoyed tending his flower and vegetable garden, and attended the Ruch Community Church.
Mr. Frilot moved to the Rogue Valley four years ago from Granada Hills, Calif.
Survivors include: two brothers, Henry Frilot of Applegate, and Louis Frilot of Westminster, Calif; two sisters, Mary Chachere of Applegate, and Almira Patin of Valencia, Calif.; and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Frilot.

Forest L. Way
The funeral service for Forest L. Way will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Christian Church, Medford. His son, Pastor Stan Way, will officiate.

Mr. Way, 81, of Medford, died Thursday (June 17, 1999) at his home.
He was born April 3, 1918 in Detroit, Mich., the son of Warren and Mary Way. On Oct. 25, 1941, in Rapid City, Mich., he married Pauline E. Byers, who survives.
Mr. Way worked as a salesman, retiring from the Jewell Tea Co. He moved to Oregon in 1983 from California.
He enjoyed writing, painting and computers, and he was also active in church activities.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: two sons, Tom Way of Tracy, Calif., and Stan Way of Medford; two daughters, Ronda Bagwill and Peggy Foster, both of Medford; two brothers, George Way, of Berkeley, Mich., and Norvell Way of Harrison, Mich.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bryce Edward.
Visitation will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Cornerstone Christian Church.

Dolores Vesta Barrett
The graveside service for Dolores Vesta Barrett will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland. Pastor Art Ver Steeg of River Valley Fellowship, Medford, will officiate.
Mrs. Barrett, 89, of Talent, died Wednesday (June 16, 1999) at Ashland Community Hospital.
She was born Dolores Vesta Barker on Dec. 2, 1909, in Needles, Calif.
On Jan. 24, 1927, in Needles, she married Robert E. Barrett, who died in 1971.
She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1933 from California.
She enjoyed fishing and camping.
Survivors include a daughter, Earlene V. Watson, Talent; a son, Jack C. Barrett, Talent; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley D. Repin, in 1998.
Friends may pay their respects from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Abbey Funeral Inc., 550 Business Park Drive, Medford.
Lillian Stuart Hennion
Lillian Stuart Hennion, 106, of Gold Hill, died Thursday (June 17, 1999) at Fairview Transitional Health Center, Grants Pass. A private service will be held.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
She was born Lillian Given on Jan. 31, 1893, in Salina, Kan.
On Feb., 28, 1918, she married Thomas Eugene Hennion, who died in 1972.
Mrs. Hennion was a homemaker.
She had no known survivors.

Rylee McKenna Miller
The funeral service for Rylee McKenna Miller will be at 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2141 Brookhurst, Medford. Bishop Bret Mitchell of Central Point Ward will officiate.
Burial will take place in Millville Cemetery, Millville, Utah.
Rylee Mckenna Miller, 2, of Central Point, died Wednesday (June 16, 1999) at Emanuel Children's Hospital, Portland.
She was born on Feb. 13, 1997, in Medford.
Survivors include her parents, Richard and Marcia, Central Point; three brothers, Todd, Alex and Zachary, all of Central Point; grandparents, Milton and Shana Anderson of Millville and a grandmother, Beth Miller, South Salt Lake, Utah.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 to 10:45 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2141 Brookhurst, Medford.
Milton Elisha Lewis
Milton Elisha Lewis, 77, of Grants Pass, died Monday (June 14, 1999) in Grants Pass. No service is planned.
He was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Dallas, Texas.
In September 1950, in Las Vegas, he married Alice Elizabeth Root, who died in 1996. He moved to the Rogue Valley 27 years ago from California.
Mr. Lewis completed four years of college and worked as an electrical engineer.
He was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in 1940.
Survivors include two sons, Ritchie M., Carmel, Calif., and Thomas M., Los Angeles; a daughter; Sharlene Liguori, Carson City, Nev.; a sister, Nadine Ballard, Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Rachel L. Schoonover
Rachel Lena Schoonover, 87, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (June, 17, 1999) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born on Dec. 22, 1911, in New York City.
On Dec. 12, 1949, in Yuma, Ariz., she married Charles Schoonover, who survives.
Mrs. Schoonover was a homemaker.
She enjoyed bingo, garage sales, gardening and crafts.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Chandra Hayes, Medford; and a brother, Rodney Brown, Los Angeles.

George `Bob' Westwell
George Robert "Bob" Westwell, 81, of Medford, died Saturday (June 12, 1999) at his home. No service is planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Oregon Humane Society, 2910 Table Rock Road, Medford, OR 97501.
He was born on May 4, 1918, in England.
On June 29, 1991, in Walnut, Calif., he married Norma Counts, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley eight years ago from Walnut.
Mr. Westwell was in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. He was on loan to the U.S. Navy to fly Spitfires in combat.
He was a mechanical engineer for heavy equipment for the Flour Corp., retiring in 1988. He also worked on the Alaska pipeline.
A 32nd degree Mason, Mr. Westwell was a member of the West Covina/La Puente No.446 Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite Bodies, Medford Eagles Lodge, Ashland Elks Lodge, and the West American Legion.
Survivors, in addition to his wife include a son, Jim, North Vancouver, British Columbia; a daughter, Marguerite "Robin" Lealess, Vancouver, British Columbia; a step-daughter, Pamela Lairmore, Welches; a step-son, Bruce Marsh, Portland; and two sisters, Rita Fletcher, Portland, Maine, and Betty Janssens, Los Angeles. He was preceded in death by a wife, Edith.
