James L. Holloway
The funeral for James LeRoy Holloway will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cornerstone Christian Church. Pastor Stan Way will officiate.
Mr. Holloway, 64, of Central Point, died Friday (June 18, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.

He was born June 21, 1934, in Seward, Neb. His family moved to Medford when he was 2 years old.
On April 30, 1955, in Medford, he married Donna Frances Zumwalt, who survives.
Mr. Holloway enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities. He was also active in business groups and was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church and the Elks Club.
He owned Leland Clark Insurance and Insurance Marketplace until retiring 10 years ago. He was previously a teacher and coach for Hanby Middle School, and prior to that he was an elementary school teacher. He played college football for the University of Oregon.
Survivors, besides his wife, include a son, James Lee, Medford; a daughter, Carrie Ellen Haskett, Medford; a brother, Floyd, Eugene; four grandsons and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Ray; a brother, Harold; and his parents, Floyd Holloway and Ruth McDonald.
Friends may pay respects from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Conger Morris Funeral Home.
Ernest R. Hamilton
The funeral for Ernest Robert Hamilton will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Central Valley Chapel. Lyle McCaw, minister of White City Christian Church will officiate. Mr. Hamilton, 70, of Central Point, died Wednesday (June 16, 1999) at his home.
He was born July 6, 1928, in Medford. He lived in the Rogue Valley all his life.
Mr. Hamilton was a self-employed farmer, raising produce and fruit in the Table Rock Road area.
He enjoyed reading and gardening.
Survivors include a sister, Jean Lewis, Forest Grove.
Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central Valley Chapel Cremation and Funeral Care, 800 S. Front St., Central Point.
George Bibby
The funeral for George Bibby will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 1999 in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Marvin Bibby, of Sacramento will officiate.
Mr. Bibby, 79, of Gold Hill, died Tuesday (June 15, 1999) at his home.
He was born on Dec. 23, 1919 in Ashland. He lived in Oregon most of his life except for the time he was in the service.
On Dec. 8, 1962 he married Beth Lucille Potter who died in 1984.
Mr. Bibby served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Bibby worked for Southern Oregon Pacific Railroad. He owned and operated Beth L. Bibby Books, a mail order business for many years.
He was a member of the Antiquarian Book Sellers Association of America.
Survivors include a brother, William Bibby, Sacramento, Calif.

Marie G. Spielbusch
The graveside service for Marie G. Spielbusch will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Arnold and Bellinger Lane, Medford. The Rev. Earl Best will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Spielbusch, 77, died Friday (June 18, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
She was born Marie Guss on May 16, 1922 in Decator, Ark. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1956 from Hepler, Kan.
Mrs. Spielbusch worked for Rogue Valley Packing Company for 25 years, after which she worked as a caretaker for the elderly for 10 years.
She was a member of the Twin Club and the First Baptist Church in Medford.
She enjoyed her children, her home and gardening and she enjoyed taking care of people.
Survivors include seven sons, Jerry and Ron, both of Medford, Dennis, of White City, David, of Shady Cove, Larry, of Sutherlin, Ken, of Sherwood, and Terry, of Lacey, Wash.; four daughters, Rita Spielbusch, White City, Rena Hodges, Lakeside, Calif., Connie Merideth, Washougal, Wash., and Patty Peterson, Vancouver, Wash.; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Martin, Jr., in 1941, and a daughter, Patricia Ann, in 1956.

Charles James Thomas
The memorial service for Charles Joseph Thomas will be held at 11 a.m., June 22, 1999, at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. The family will officiate.

Mr. Thomas, 68, died Monday (June 14, 1999) near Baker City.
He was born Dec. 10, 1931 in San Francisco.
On Dec. 7, 1977, in Yreka, Calif. he married Billianne Bell, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley 31 years ago from California.
He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years as a pilot. He served during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam war.
Mr. Thomas was a elementary school teacher at Washington and Jackson Schools. He briefly taught at South Medford High School.
He enjoyed flying and teaching Hispanic children to speak English.
Survivors in addition to his wife include, four daughters, Megan Jenson, Medford, Ellen Thomas, Portland, Lisa Buoy, Roseburg and Theresa Payant, Sacramento, Calif.; three brothers, Edmond, Santa Rosa, Calif., Robert, Siren, Wis., and Walter, California; and five grandchildren.

Fay Vernita Wills
The graveside service for Fay Vernita Wills will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Wills, 70, of Eagle Point, died Tuesday, (June 13, 1999), at Oregon Health Science, Portland.
She was born Fay Vernita Giles on Feb. 1, 1929 in Perry, Ore.
On June 28, 1947 in Chicago, she married Walter Wills, who preceded her in death.
She was a lifetime resident of the Rogue Valley.
Mrs. Wills was a homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge.
Mrs. Wills enjoyed bowling and playing the organ.
Survivors include two sons, David and Jim, both of Medford; three sisters, Nita Smith, Medford, Donna Clouse, Eagle Point, and Virginia Smith, Spokane, Wash.; a brother, Wayne Giles, Vancouver, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

Earl Mix
The graveside service for Earl Mix will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn will officiate.
Mr. Mix, 64, of Central Point died Thursday, (June 17, 1999) at his home.
He was born May 26, 1935 in Berkeley, Calif.
On June 30, 1978, in Reno, Nev. he married Mary Neil Wilson, who survives. He moved to Central Point 12 years ago from Reno, Nev.
Mr. Mix served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957.
He was employed by Bear Creek Corp. for 26 years, retiring from there in 1998 as a supervisor in the packing house.
Mr. Mix was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lodge No. 2093, for 20 years.
He enjoyed fishing, frogs and gardening.
Survivors in addition to his wife include, two sons, Eric E., Roseville, Calif. and Steven L. Reno, Nev.; three daughters, Susan Gardner, Salem, Marylu Bowers, Eugene, and Lynda D. Ruiz, Reno, Nev.; and a sister, Kathleen Smallwood, Sacramento; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

William E. Kavasch
A memorial service for William E. "Bill" Kavasch will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Horton Plaza's Elsie Butler Hall, 1122 Spring St., Medford, with Rev. Bunny Oliver officiating.
Mr. Kavasch, 81, of Medford, died Friday (June 18, 1999) at the Providence Medford Medical Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion No. 15 baseball team, 2330 N. Pacific Highway, Medford, OR., 97501.
Mr. Kavasch was born June 12, 1918 in Philadelphia. On Aug. 12, 1943, in Houston, he married the former Helen "Lu" Storey, who survives. He rose to the rank of major in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Mr. Kavasch was a mechanical engineer at McDonnell Douglas Corp. in Huntington Beach, Calif., retiring after 30 years. During his career, he was involved with the Apollo, Gemini, Saturn and Thor space projects. After retirement, he returned to school and received a degree
in petroleum engineering.
He and his wife moved to the Rogue Valley nine years ago. Here, he was a big supporter of the Medford Mustangs Legion baseball team, where he was known as Grandpa Wolcott.
Mr. Kavasch was also a master gardener and world traveler.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: a son, James Kavasch of Medford; a daughter, Jill Wolcott of Medford; a brother, Ralph Kavasch of Fremont, Calif.; a sister, Irene Adams of Torrance, Calif.; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
