David J. Moore
A memorial service for David James Moore will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Mortuary in Medford. Pastor Larry Hood of the First Baptist Church in White City will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Mortuary Park.
Mr. Moore, 57, of Medford, died Sunday (July 4, 1999) in Medford.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in White City.
Born Aug. 31, 1941, in Bakersfield, Calif., he moved to the Rogue Valley 10 years ago.
Mr. Moore was a heavy equipment operator and road construction worker.
He was a member of the Protestant church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and baseball.
Survivors include his mother, Euna Mae Moore, Medford; two daughters, Kim Cecil and Tina Caliguri, both Atwater, Calif.; a sister, Kathleen McKinley, Woodland, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Moore, and by his brother, Steven Moore.

Maye B. Snyder
Maye B. Snyder, 94, of Medford, died Saturday (July 3, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Center. A private service is planned. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
Mrs. Snyder was born Sept. 10, 1904, in Holt County in Missouri. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1973 from Ottawa.
She was a beautician, owning several shops in Kansas before retiring to Medford.
She enjoyed reading and gardening.
Survivors include two great-granddaughters, Lisa Barnett, Portland, and April Fenton, Kent, Wash.; and a nephew, Clarence Dudley, Etna, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; a daughter, Joan Kirkendall; and two grandchildren.

Thomas B. Wilkins
The funeral for Thomas Benton Wilkins will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Conger-Morris Chapel, Medford. Pastor George Irvin of the Southern Baptist Church of Medford will officiate. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Wilkins, 82, of Medford, died Wednesday (June 30, 1999) in Medford.
He was born Sept. 9, 1916, in Waxahatchie, Texas. He moved to the Rogue Valley more than 60 years ago from Hawaii.
On Jan. 1, 1941, in Reno, Nev., he married Mildred L. Gardner, who died in 1985.
Mr. Wilkins was a projectionist in local theaters and was the owner of Harry's Motel, the Medford Convalescent Home and the Delta Waters Retirement Home. He was also a reserve deputy sheriff for many years.
He was a projectionist in the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed baseball. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James L. and Lloyd R., both Medford; a daughter, Victoria Wilkins, in Hawaii; and one grandson.
Friends may pay their respects from 3-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Conger-Morris Funeral Home, Medford.
Sammie Y. Ashcraft
The funeral for Sammie Yvonne Ashcraft will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2900 Juanipero Way, Medford. Bishop Wayne Cowley will officiate. Interment will follow in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.
Mrs. Ashcraft, 61, of Medford, died Friday (July 2, 1999) at her home, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 19, 1937, in Longmont, Colo. Her family moved to Ashland in 1950. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1955.
On Aug. 2, 1955, in Reno, Nev., she married Raymond W. Ashcraft, who survives. They lived in Longmont, Colo., for two years before returning to Ashland, where they lived for 26 years. In 1992, they moved to Medford.
Mrs. Ashcraft worked at First Interstate Bank, later Wells Fargo Bank, in Ashland, retiring in 1997 after 28 years of service.
Mrs. Ashcraft received many awards for outstanding customer service. In her career as a personal banker, she won seven state competitions for customer service.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as a teacher and leader.
Mrs. Ashcraft enjoyed traveling, cross stitch and crocheting, and gave many of her projects to community organizations such as the Ashland Adolescent Center.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Jackee Ireland, Roseville, Calif.; two sons, Victor "Bud," Sandy, Ore., and Dale, Boise, Idaho; two grandchildren; and one step-grandson.

Albert C. Allen Jr.
Albert C. Allen Jr., 93, of White City, died Sunday (June 27, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.
He was born March 20, 1906, in Medford, a son of Albert C. and Lillian Allen. He graduated from Medford Senior High School.
On July 10, 1929, at Harriman Lodge near Klamath Falls, he married Eva Mae Jester, who died in 1994.
Mr. Allen was a farmer and a boat builder in White City.
A close friend of the Angus Bowmer family, Mr. Allen was instrumental in the development of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and served on the board of directors. He was also involved in the classical music community, attending and supporting local groups.
Mr. Allen was a member of the Tudor Guild, and the Knife and Fork Club.
He enjoyed classical music, theatre, writing and traveling.
Survivors include a son, Albert C. III, White City; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Therion Perry Green
The memorial service for Therion Perry Green will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, in the First Church of God, Medford. His brother, Raymond F. Potter, will officiate. A graveside service, with full military honors, was held on June 11 in Riverside National Cemetery in California.
Mr. Green, 68, of Moreno Valley, Calif., formerly of Jacksonville, died June 6, 1999 in the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Loma Linda, Calif.
He was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Gordon, Neb. He lived in the Rogue Valley from 1938 to 1971.
On Aug. 30, 1957, in Redondo Beach, Calif., he married Lillian Annie Tozier, who survives.
Mr. Green was an automobile mechanic for 25 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and received a Purple Heart.
Mr. Green was a member of Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Therion P. Jr., Tucson; two daughters, Nancy Saulsberry, Bellflower, Calif., and Shirley McHale, Redondo Beach, Calif.; his mother, Mae Potter, Medford; three brothers, Laurence L. Green, Central Point, Raymond F. Potter, Springfield, and Ralph W. Potter, Urbana, Mo.; a sister, Mary A. Green, Rogue River; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, his twin, Theodore P. Green, and Spurgeon H. Green.

Steven M. Westland
Steven Michael Westland, 47, of Medford, died June 23, 1999, at his home. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
He was born Jan. 1, 1952, in Tacoma, Wash. He moved to Medford in 1958, and graduated from Medford High School in 1970.
He was a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Oregon Chapter, and was a charter member of the Rogue Apple Users Group and the Rogue Valley PC Users Group.
Survivors include his parents, Eugene and Barbara Westland, Medford; two sisters, Kay Westland, Medford, and Ann Westland, Portland; a brother, Lance, Medford. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alan.

Lucy M. Donaldson
Lucy M. Donaldson, 78, of Hayward, Calif., formerly of Medford, died Tuesday (June 29, 1999) in Hayward. No service is planned.

She was a longtime Medford resident and a former employee of Rogue Valley Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Latricia Haron, Hayward, Calif., and Janet Slaughter, Dixon, Calif.; and a brother, Thomas J. Davis Jr., Arlington, Ind. A son, Ronald Haron, died in 1989.
