Lois L. Elliott
Lois Laverne Elliott, 82, of Medford, died Saturday (July 17, 1999) in Medford. The memorial service will be held later.

She was born Lois Miller on Aug. 28, 1916, in Helena, Mont., a daughter of Fred and Beatrice Miller.
In 1936, she married Gordon Wood. They later divorced.
In 1941, she married Darwin Badger. They later divorced.
In 1965, in Reno, Nev., she married John Elliott, who died in 1972. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1991 from Seattle, Wash.
Mrs. Elliott was an artist, working in acrylic and oils.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Monti, Medford; two sons, Michael Wood, Seattle, and David Badger, San Rafael, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Edna Mabel Scott
The cryptside service for Edna Mabel Scott will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Memorial Park Mausoleum in Medford.
Mrs. Scott, 84, of Eagle Point, died Wednesday (July 14, 1999) at her home.

She was born Edna Powell on June 18, 1915, in New Brighton, Pa.
On March 1, 1958, in Las Vegas, she married James Scott, who died in 1996. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1972 from Duarte, Calif.
Mrs. Scott was a homemaker.
She was a member of Truth Tabernacle in Medford.
Mrs. Scott enjoyed Citizens Band radio clubs, making quilts, embroidery, canning and crocheting.
Survivors include a son, Thomas T., Tacoma, Wash.; and two daughters, Shirley L. Carnes, Verona, Pa., and Dolores J. Scott, Phoenix, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Powell.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
Helen H. Ragsdale
The graveside service for Helen Howard Ragsdale will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trail Cemetery.
Mrs. Ragsdale, 87, of Medford, died Saturday (July 17, 1999) in Medford.

She was born Helen Howard on Sept. 16, 1911, in Limerick, Saskatchewan, Canada, a daughter of Henry and Eliza Howard. Her family moved to the Willamette Valley from Canada, and then to the Rogue Valley in 1918.
On Aug. 14, 1928, in Medford, she married John E. Ragsdale, who died in 1988.
Mrs. Ragsdale and her husband owned and operated the concession stand in the Jackson County Courthouse for many years. They also ran the Little Butte Star Route postal route in Lake Creek for many years.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Ragsdale enjoyed making cane chairs and knitting.
Survivors include seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A son, Vernon Ragsdale, died in 1988; a daughter, Nita Flores, died in 1992.

Marvin A. Copple
Marvin A. Copple, 81, of Medford, died Wednesday (July 14, 1999) at Medford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. The service was held Monday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brookhurst Chapel. Bishop John Vial of the Medford 4th Ward officiated. Interment will be in Stearns/Wagner Creek Cemetery in Talent.
He was born Nov. 29, 1917, in Salt Lake City.
On Feb. 11, 1940, in Yuma, Ariz., he married Melba Rae Sorensen, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1990.
Mr. Copple was a heavy equipment/shop foreman in the rock, sand and gravel industry.
He was a member of the Medford 4th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mr. Copple enjoyed gunsmithing, hunting, fishing and vegetable gardening.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include four sons, Neil A., Medford, Jon C., Central Point, Van A., Norco, Calif., and Robert M., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; two daughters, Nancy Baker, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Cheryl Copple, Gillette, Wyo.; a brother, Jack, Hemet, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Camile Rae Culleeney, died June 10, 1999. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Helen Rae O'Neil
Helen Rae O'Neil, 66, of Phoenix, died Friday (July 16, 1999) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Helen Rae Quigley on July 12, 1933, in Yellville, Ark.
On April 16, 1955, in Klamath Falls, she married Robert F. O'Neil, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley six years ago from Klamath Falls, where she had lived for 14 years.
Mrs. O'Neil was a charter member of the Rogue Snowmobilers and a member of the Harriman Rural Fire Protection District Ladies Auxiliary near Klamath Falls.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Steven Lynn, Phoenix; a daughter, Cindy Sue Hummel, Klamath Falls; a sister, Freida Hoopes, Montague, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
A sister, Hazel Leach, died in 1980.

Debra L. Breams
Debra Lenora Breams, 45, of Reedsport, formerly of Central Point, died Friday (July 16, 1999) in Union Creek. No service is planned.
She was born Debra Calfee on Sept. 20, 1953, in Klamath Falls, a daughter of Fred and Lenora Calfee. She grew up in the Rogue Valley and graduated from Crater High School.
On March 30, 1984, in Reedsport, she married Bobby Breams, who survives.
Mrs. Breams was a respiratory therapist.
She was a member of the Tioga Mountain Men Black Powder Rifle Club.
Mrs. Breams enjoyed beadwork and crafts.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Robert Boles, Redlands, Calif.; two daughters, Laura Breams, Reedsport, and Barbara Kambich, Clackamas; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lenora Calfee.

Patti Jo Steen
The memorial service for Patti Jo Steen will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Liam Carey of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate. The Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Steen, 64, of Medford, died Friday (July 16, 1999) in Medford.

She was born Patti Jo Scott on April 19, 1935, in Noble, Okla., a daughter of Charles and Miriam Scott. She graduated from Shasta College in Redding, where she completed the LPN nursing program.
On Dec. 21, 1963, in Redding, Calif., she married Milton W. Steen, who survives. She lived in Yreka for 20 years, and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1984.
Mrs. Steen trained and worked at Mercy Hospital in Redding, and later worked for Siskiyou General Hospital for 20 years. After moving to Medford, she worked for Three Fountains Nursing Center for three years.
She enjoyed crafts, music, flowers and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Chris, Medford; a daughter, Diane Steen, Medford; her mother, Miriam Scott, Medford; and one grandson.
