`Bud' Schroeder
The funeral for Abraham "Bud" Lincoln Schroeder will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Finley Sunset Hills Chapel, Portland. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Portland.
Mr. Schroeder, 72, died Friday (July 23, 1999) in a Portland hospital.

Mr. Schroeder was born Jan. 16, 1927, in Cottage Grove. He graduated from Canyonville High School and from Oregon State University in 1950.
He lived in Medford from 1950 to 1966 and worked as an electrical engineer for California Oregon Power Co.
On July 16, 1966, he married Virginia Schroeder. The couple moved to Portland.
Mr. Schroeder worked for Pacific Power for 39 years, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of the Oak Hills Christian Reformed Church for 25 years. He also was a member of the Lower Umpqua Masonic Lodge.
He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include four daughters, Sharon Hale-Mockley, Portland, Maureen Pond, Wilsonville, Mary Ann Nicholes, Seattle, and Nancy Palacious, Lake Oswego; two sisters, Faith Pedersen, Chiloquin, and Marilyn Carter, Oregon City; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Helen Liddell Meade
The memorial service for Helen Liddell Meade will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens Mortuary at Bellinger and Arnold Lane, Medford. The Rev. John Braund of the First Presbyterian Church in Phoenix will officiate. Inurnment will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Meade, 88, of Medford, died Thursday (July 22, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Helen Konopasek on June 17, 1911, in Beemer, Neb. On Oct. 26, 1997, in Medford, she married Kenneth Meade, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1994 from California.
Mrs. Meade lived in the Rogue Valley in the 1940s and worked for Harry and David for several years. She later moved to Nevada, where she was a bank accountant for 15 years. In San Jose, Calif., prior to her retirement, she was a budget analyst.
She enjoyed bowling and belonged to a women's bowling league. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and playing games and cards.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Gilbert F. Liddell, Sacramento, Calif.,; a daughter, Roma Lee Cohee, Homeland, Calif.; two sisters, Libby Pfaff, Central Point, and Irma Malles, La Crosse, Wis.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Forrest Liddell and Amos R. Gamsby; a son, Konneld Liddell; five brothers and one sister.

Cloie L. Martin
The graveside service for Cloie L. Martin will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pastor Tim Tiffany of the First Christian Disciples of Christ Church will officiate.
Mrs. Martin, 71, of Medford, died Tuesday (July 20, 1999) in Medford.

She was born Cloie Luella Lyons on May 2, 1928, in Medford, a daughter of Leonard S. and Emily (Brietung) Lyons. She lived in the Rogue Valley all of her life.
In 1948, in Medford, she married John L. Martin, who survives.
Mrs. Martin worked for Allup's Employment Agency, and was a secretary for Tom Whittle. She also did seasonal work for Reter Fruit Company.
She enjoyed bowling, sewing and reading.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Randy, Grants Pass, and Glenn, Salem; a daughter, Christine Redding, Medford; six sisters, Evelyn Bryant, Ellen Gifford, Florence Shores, and Betty Orr, all Medford, Ruth Kelso, Eugene, and Billie Huener, Milwaukie; and two brothers, Jerry Lyons, Junction City, and John Lyons, Coos Bay. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Bob Lyons.

Alma E. Case
Alma E. Case, 93, of Rogue Valley Manor in Medford, died Monday (July 19, 1999) in Medford. No service is planned. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park in Phoenix, Ariz.

She was born Alma Snetsinger on Oct. 13, 1905, in Detroit, a daughter of Harold W. and Charlotte E. (Powell) Snetsinger. She moved to the Rogue Valley 30 years ago from Detroit.
In October 1929, she married Herbert Case, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Case was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Baab, Park Ridge, Ill.

Jessie L. Berkheimer
Jessie Lorraine Berkheimer, 71, of Central Point, died Wednesday (July 21, 1999) in Central Point. No service is planned.
She was born Jessie Griffith on Jan. 27, 1928, in Concord, Calif., a daughter of Jesse Ernest and Lorraine J. (Conner) Griffith. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1955 from California.
On Nov. 3, 1946, in Yuma, Ariz., she married Wilbur J. Berkheimer, who survives.
Mrs. Berkheimer was the owner of A Little Bit Crafty in Sams Valley for 21 years.
She enjoyed crafts.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Linda Sanger, Medford, Lou Ann Berkheimer, Central Point, and Billie-Jo Osborne, Sams Valley; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Berkheimer; and a daughter, Julie Rae.

Geno Patrick Struglia

Thelma F. Armstrong
Thelma F. Armstrong, 85, of Medford, died Tuesday (July 20, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned.

She was born Thelma Freer on Jan. 23, 1914, in Monrovia, Calif.
On Feb. 20, 1938, in Yuma, Ariz., she married Raymond T. Armstrong, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1981 from Rialto, Calif.
Mrs. Armstrong enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and crocheting.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Joyce S. Armstrong, Medford; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William A. Garver.

Donald R. Snyder
The graveside service for Donald Raymond Snyder will be at 11 a.m. today at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Members of Central Point Masonic Lodge 135 A.F. & A.M. will officiate.
Mr. Snyder, 69, of Eagle Point, died Sunday (July 18, 1999) at Menlo Park Veterans Hospital in Menlo Park, Calif.

He was born Oct. 20, 1929, in East Aurora, N.Y.
On Aug. 26, 1961, in Melton, United Kingdom, he married Doris Eileen Garvie, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Atwater, Calif.
Mr. Snyder served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, retiring in 1972 with the rank of senior master sergeant. From 1980 to 1988, he worked for Cal Trans in Merced, Calif.
He was a member of the Livingston Hills Ferry Masonic Lodge 236 in Livingston, Calif., the Scottish Rite Freemasonry in Fresno, Calif., and the Air Force Sergeants Association.
Mr. Snyder enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Linda Greb and Donna Cox, both Eagle Point, and Deanna Snyder, San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Clayton Snyder, Cheektowaga, N.Y.; a sister, Jesse Spalti, West Falls, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
