Carmen D'Errico
Carmen D'Errico, 46, of Medford, died Friday (July 30, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center after a boating accident. No local service is planned. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, N.Y.
He was born June 15, 1953, in Latin, Italy, a son of Fortunato and Lillian D'Errico.
Mr. D'Errico was a production manager and team leader at Eastman Kodak in New York. He moved to the Rogue Valley three years ago from Rochester.
Survivors include a son, Michael, Medford; a daughter, Amy D'Errico, Rochester, N.Y.; his mother, Lillian D'Errico, Rochester; and a brother, Frank, Rochester. He was preceded in death by his father, Fortunato D'Errico.

David Thompson
The memorial service for David "Fetson" W. Thompson will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rogue Valley Christian Church. Pastor Chad McComas will officiate.
Mr. Thompson, 36, of Medford, died Monday (Aug. 2, 1999) at his home.

He was born Aug. 24, 1962, in Porterville, Calif.
On Aug. 1, 1980, in Fremont, Calif., he married Sue Kay Walker, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley from California in 1990.
Mr. Thompson worked for Hadley Roofing in Medford.
He enjoyed the San Francisco 49ers , waterskiing and camping. He was known for his handyman skills.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Melissa Ashley Thompson, Medford; his parents, Bill and Earline Thompson, Fremont, Calif.; his grandmothers, Ora Thompson, Porterville, Calif., and Sallie Wideman, Watson, Okla.; a brother, Jim, Fremont, Calif.; five sisters, Brenda Conklin, Redding, Calif., Fran Neely, Portland, Tari Winters, Porterville, Calif., Rose McMellon, Waldren, Ariz., and Debbie Floyd, Atascadero, Calif.
Friends may pay their respects from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at 550 Business Park Drive, Medford.

Helen W. Cook
The funeral for Helen W. Cook will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mrs. Cook, 87, of Medford, died Saturday (July 31, 1999) at her home.

She was born Helen Wickham on April 6, 1912, in Lyle, Kan.
On June 24, 1944, in Glendale, Calif., she married Edgar Riley Cook, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1986 from Sun City, Calif.
Mrs. Cook was a secretary for North American Rockwell in California. She worked on the first Apollo moon landing mission.
She enjoyed traveling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a stepdaughter, Nancy Lee Barry, Butte, Mont.; two sisters, Donna Steinshouer, Glendale, Calif., and Fairy Faye Young, Canoga Park, Calif.; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Cleland Boyd Carson
The service for Cleland Boyd Carson Sr. will be at 11 a.m. today in Scantlin's Brookings Mortuary Chapel. Matthew Garris will officiate.
Mr. Carson, 60, of Brookings, formerly of Medford, died Wednesday (July 28, 1999) at his home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1939 in Eureka, Calif., a son of Boyd E. and Arlene VonKrosigh Carson. He moved to Brookings from Medford 20 years ago.
In 1960, in Reno, Nev., he married Mary Faye Hinton. They later divorced. In 1983, in Brookings, he married Karen Miller. They later divorced.
Mr. Carson was a foreman for South Coast Lumber in Brookings until his retirement.
He was a veteran of the Army National Guard.
Survivors include two daughters, Tanya Garris, Phoenix, and Morgan Carson, Brookings; three sons, Boyd, Portland, and Troy and Brandon, both Brookings; two brothers, Garland, Sams Valley, and Dwight, Mapleton; and six grandchildren.

Helga Castagnola
The memorial service for Helga Castagnola will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Earhart Bauer will officiate. Interment will follow in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.
Mrs. Castagnola, 63, of Ashland, died Sunday (Aug. 1, 1999) at her home.

She was born Helga Redien on March 20, 1936, in Heidelberg, West Germany, a daughter of Margareta and Alex Redien. She came to the United States in 1961.
On March 20, 1962, in Yuma, Ariz., she married Leno Castagnola, who survives.
Mrs. Castagnola was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ashland.
She is survived by her husband, Leno Castagnola.

Vera Gertrude Homes
The memorial service for Vera Gertrude Homes will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. John Braund will officiate. Private interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland.
Mrs. Homes, 92, of Brookings, formerly of Ashland, died Friday (July 30, 1999) at the Curry Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Brookings.
She was born Vera Lamb on Aug. 20, 1906, in Talent, a daughter of Cora and Thomas Lamb.
On March 13, 1924, in Jacksonville, she married Clarence Home, who died in 1990. She moved to Ashland in 1939.
In Ashland, Mrs. Homes and her husband operated Homes Texaco Service from 1939 to 1946, the Homes Union Service from 1948 to 1953, and the North Main Union from 1964 to 1969. She moved to Brookings in 1991.
Survivors include a daughter, Clarice I Anderson, Woodbridge, Va.; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

June M. Melton
The graveside service for June M. Melton will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Siskiyou Memorial Park. The Rev. Jim Clifford of Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church will officiate.
Mrs. Melton, 67, of Central Point, died Saturday (July 31, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
She was born June Woodley on Nov. 7, 1931, in Malin. She was raised in Malin and Klamath Falls, and attended Sacred Heart School in Klamath Falls.
In 1966, in Klamath Falls, she married B.J. Melton, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley 27 years ago from Klamath Falls.
Mrs. Melton was a bookkeeper for most of her working life.
She enjoyed camping and her friends and family.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Kathi Paxton, Medford, Linda Clement, Klamath Falls, and Carlene Lucas, Sacramento, Calif.; two sons, Bill Picket, Elkton, and Bill Melton, Sacramento, Calif.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Carlene Wagoner, in 1985; a sister, Eulafaye K. Jones, in 1977; and by a brother, Merle "Bud" Woodley, in 1996.

Earline Lewis
The chapel service for Earline Lewis will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Mortuary. Pastor Dennis Preshaw of the Church of Christ, Central Point, will officiate.
Mrs. Lewis, 85, of Ashland, died Saturday (July 31, 1999) at Linda Vista Care Center in Ashland.
She was born Earline Grey on March 30, 1914, in Rio Vista, Texas.
On Oct. 5, 1930, in Cleburne, Texas, she married Ernest Lewis, who preceded her in death. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1976 from California.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker. She was a foster parent and was involved in the foster grandparent program.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Church of Christ, Central Point.
She enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Fulton, Ashland, and Cindra Lacey, Paradise, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James Lewis; two sisters; a brother; and a granddaughter.
Friends may pay their respects following the service.

Timothy P. Williamson
The memorial gathering for Timothy Paul Williamson will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Applegate Riverhouse Lodge, 15100 Highway 238, Applegate. Interment will be at Mr. Williamson's farm in the Applegate Valley.
Mr. Williamson, 52, of Applegate, died Tuesday (July 27, 1999) in Jacksonville. He had lived in Applegate since 1979.
He was born Dec. 8, 1946, in Anacortes, Wash. He received a degree in political science and American history from Humboldt State University in Eureka, Calif.
Mr. Williamson was a self-employed organic farmer. In the 1960s and '70s, he was a civil rights and antiwar activist. A political anarchist, he sought to end hemp prohibitions, and was an advocate for land conservation and environmental causes.
Survivors include his companion, Ellen Curtis, Applegate; a daughter, Megan Williamson, Olympia, Wash.; his companion's children, Leah, Aaron, Damian, Garth and Caitlin Curtis, all of Applegate; a brother, Jerry, Brookings; and his former wife, Sheila Depew, Ashland.
