Kevin John Culhane
Kevin John Culhane, 72, of Ashland, died Sunday (Aug. 15, 1999) at his home. No service is planned.
He was born July 19, 1927, in Modesto, Calif.
On Sept. 24, 1987, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he married Judith Rosario Vega, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley one year ago.
Mr. Culhane was the general manager of Plaza Motors in Puerto Rico. Following his retirement, he did private consulting work.
He enjoyed playing golf and tennis.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Sean, Ashland.

Howard Larsen
Howard Larsen, 72, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (Aug. 19, 1999) at Three Rivers Community Hospital, Washington Campus. No service is planned.

He was born Sept. 20, 1926, in Goldfield, Iowa.
On Oct. 20, 1968, in Carson City, Nev., he married Shirley Zehr, who survives.
Mr. Larsen worked for Pacific Power & Light from 1947 until his retirement in 1983. After his retirement, he presented electrical safety programs to schools throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California for 10 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Larsen was a member of Grants Pass Elks Lodge No. 1584 and the Grants Pass Bowling Association.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Jean C. Larsen, Central Point, and Linda G. Larsen, Houston; his mother, Myrna C. Larsen, Grants Pass; a stepdaughter, Lynette McAllister, Medford; two brothers, Kenneth W. and Robert M., both Grants Pass; a sister, Joan E. Dexter, Grants Pass; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Richard C. Marsden
Richard C. Marsden, 68, of Grants Pass, died Monday (Aug. 16, 1999) at Three Rivers Community Hospital, Dimmick Campus. No service is planned.
He was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Lincoln, Neb.
On Sept. 16, 1966, in Tasco, Mexico, he married Andria Brown, who preceded him in death. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Southern California in 1994.
Mr. Marsden was an insurance salesman until his retirement.
He enjoyed polishing and working with vehicles.
Survivors include a daughter, Erica Marsden, Rogue River; a son, Kevin, Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Lloyd W. Morrison
The funeral Mass for Lloyd W. Morrison will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mr. Morrison, 80, of White City, died Tuesday (Aug. 17, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born April 25, 1919, in Medford. He lived in the Rogue Valley all of his life.
In 1940, in Medford, he married Helen Haas, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Morrison worked for Pacific Power & Light, retiring in 1973.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Morrison enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors include a daughter a son, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son and nine brothers and sisters.

Robert E. `Bob' Scott
Robert E. "Bob" Scott, 62, of Ashland, died Monday (Aug. 16, 1999) at his home. The memorial service will be held at a later date.

He was born Oct. 29, 1936, in Hollywood, Calif.
Mr. Scott was a librarian in Fresno, Calif., for 20 years. He moved to the Rogue Valley six years ago from Palm Desert, Calif.
In Ashland, he owned and operated Astro-Therapy. He had recently released his autobiography, "Flashes of Merriment."
He suffered from Lou Gehrig's disease and was the subject of a recent Mail Tribune story about hospice patients.
He was a member of the Self-Realization Fellowship in Ashland and the Church of Religious Science in Palm Desert.
Mr. Scott enjoyed astrology, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, literature and metaphysics.
Survivors include two sisters, Harriet A. Scott, Ashland, and Narayani Ma, Graton, Calif.; and a niece and a nephew.

Byron J. Sherman
Byron J. Sherman, 92, of Medford, died Wednesday (Aug. 18, 1999) in Medford. The memorial service will be held in Medford Bethel Church at a later date.

He was born Aug. 4, 1907, in Kit Carson, Colo., a son of Stanford and Mary (Wilcox) Sherman.
On June 4, 1939, in Blackfoot, Idaho, he married Viola G. Graham, who survives. He moved to Eagle Point in 1971 from Arco, Idaho.
Mr. Sherman was a teacher. He taught at elementary to high school level from 1957 to 1970.
He was an active member of Bethel Assembly of God in Medford.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Jay, Seattle, and Dean, Salem; two daughters, Viola J. Ottowa and Ida Oberlies, both of Fair Oaks, Calif.; a brother, Frances, Portland; a sister, Emmabell Ellingford, Idaho Falls, Idaho; and six grandchildren.

Anna Margaret Weber
The funeral for Anna Margaret Weber will be at noon Sunday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hemet, Calif. The Rev. Silvio Distillio of Holy Spirit Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be in San Jacinto Cemetery.
Mrs. Weber, 91, of Medford, died Tuesday (Aug. 17, 1999) at her home.

She was born Anna Margaret Bogden on Sept. 23, 1907, in Cleveland.
On June 28, 1929, in Chardon, Ohio, she married Lawrence A. Kroupa, who died in 1936. She later married Wilton R. Weber, who died in 1964. She moved to the Rogue Valley four years ago from Hemet, Calif.
Mrs. Weber was a long distance telephone operator with Ohio Bell from 1935 to 1950. She later became head cashier for Bill Worsham VW/Mazda in Hemet, Calif.
She enjoyed traveling and made four trips to Israel and one trip to Czechoslovakia. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading and making jewelry pictures.
Survivors include a daughter, LaVerne Worsham, Medford; two brothers, Charles Bogden, Zephyrhills, Fla., and Walter Bogden, Aurora, Ohio; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Lulah B. Kinkade
The graveside service for Lulah B. Kinkade will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland. Pastor Nevitt Smith of Ashland will officiate.
Mrs. Kinkade, 93, of Ashland, died Tuesday (Aug. 17, 1999) at Hearthstone Manor in Medford.

She was born Feb. 7, 1906, in Vale, a daughter of Clara and Emanuel Hatfield. She was raised in Vale and Klamath Falls.
On Dec. 24, 1924, in Klamath Falls, she married Archie Kinkade, who died in 1950. She moved to Ashland in 1950, where she lived for a few years before moving to Cashmere, Wash. She returned to Ashland in 1960.
Mrs. Kinkade worked for Dumas Laundry in Medford for many years, retiring in 1975.
She enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas, Ashland, and Gene, Newton, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and one brother.
